Not as many laughs as last week, but with all of the new developments and progression of storylines, it's forgivable.

Loney's tied the Dodger RBI record.
-
Ray King's reaction to both homers was awesome. He looked legitimately confused on how that happened.
-
Which is absurd, since homers shouldn't be what the determining factor. Pujols has more game-winning homers AND RBI than Howard. And Howard's still got Rollins and Utley setting the table for him. Who's Pujols got, Aaron Miles?
-
I don't see how Albert Pujols isn't the NL MVP.
-
Frank's gotta use a pitcher as a pinch-hitter since he managed his bench so well tonight.
-
The Cards are truly a one-man team. I am liking how the Busch faithful are sounding more like Cubs fans these days.
-
This Phillies fan is getting more coverage from ESPN than Barry Bonds.
-
I haven't paid much attention to Utley's defense, but he seems to make a lot of errors when I watch Phillies games; specifically when trying to turn two.
-
How many long losing streaks have the Cards had this year. I didn't realize this was their seventh in a row and I think they already had a couple losing streaks of at least seven earlier. But dear god, don't blow this.

That's David Ross. And fuck him, since I started Dontrelle in good faith.
-
Juan Pierre says he wouldn't mind playing for the White Sox next year. I say if it means the Cubs don't overpay him for three or four years, awesome.

Not related, but christ, fantasy baseball's annoying. I get to the final for the first time in three years and I'm getting straight-up mollywhopped. My hitting has been utter shit, although I'm getting it done in the power departments. The problem lies with my opposition having Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley, Tori Hunter and Justin Morneau at the right time. He had 18 homers and 53 RBI last week alone. I thought I was doing nicely because of Abreu tonight, but I look over and see he's got four homers and 11 RBI. Blah. I seem to get stuck with a lot of guys who have poor years by their standards. Last year, I had Beltre and Beltran; this year it was Teixeria and Vlad.

The White Sox have become almost comically bad. Three more errors tonight and they're down 14-1 in the sixth.

His entry at Wikipedia sounds like a case from Unsolved Mysteries.

No kidding. MTV actually had the nerve to include them in the Fab 5 of '06 this summer, which has been promoted as a jump-off point for hip-hop acts still under the radar, as if they were a new duo. Sorta like how Juelz Santana was part of last summer's group, despite being around for at least five years.

I remember thinking how awesome it was to find Donkey Lips on MySpace. But after having him on my friend's list for a year, I can say that he gets irritating quickly with his bulletins packed to the brim with poor spelling and Internet short-hand.

Jeez, just make Howry the closer and be done with it.
-
Fourteen through eight, but Buck Coats of all people homers to give them the lead.
-
Eleven through seven. Were it not for the Ramirez homer and Pierre leadoff single, he'd have a no-hitter going. I guess this much can be expected with guys like Bynum, Buck Coats, Henry Blanco and Ronny Cedeno in there.
-
Aaron Harang's thrown nine pitches out of the zone through six innings. Nine.

Adam Dunn just got jobbed on called third strike. Got tossed right away after he realized it was a called third strike and not ball four.
