Sean Marshall's awful. He was decent at times when he debuted at the outset of the season, but he's made zero progress since then.

Jesus, Aramis Ramirez already with seven RBI and two homers through four. This will certainly help me in the finals of the usually frustrating fantasy baseball. And damn it, why can't I ever be watching when Juan Pierre hits one of his few home runs?

I'm sure if I got a video iPod, I would barely put any videos on it. The battery life for videos is just terrible.

The Pillman DVD's gonna be $14.99 at CC when it's released. Summerslam's gonna be $12.99 and you get a free copy of John Cena's DVD with it. Still a rip-off.

Must be working. Cubs up 7-0 after an inning. Three homers, including Carlos Zambrano's fifth.

Derrek Lee will not return this season. Very sad to read; hopefully things can somehow turn out okay.

Fuckin' excellent game in Oakland right now. Feels like playoff baseball and Frank Thomas has four of the five Oakland RBIs right now. The reaction from the announcer's booth over MacDougal's 3-2 slider with the bases loaded in a tied game was great.

Congrats to Rich Hill, who gets the Cubs first complete game of the season. Took 118 pitches and the Reds had three or four at-bats where they fouled off pitch-after-pitch, but nice work to blank a good offensive team. Ten K's and only one walk. Hill's really arrived. He's cut his ERA in half since returning in July.

Now there's the last guy you want breaking up a no-hitter.

I wonder if Ozzie's an angry drunk? Seriously, what a baby. When your team's in danger of missing the postseason a year after winning it all, maybe you should be more concerned about winning games and less about getting plastered.

Not as far-fetched as you might think. Wagner was actually leading ESPN.com's Cy Predictor when I checked it earlier this week. No way he should get any consideration over Carpenter or Webb.
-
Yeah, the Shuffles are ideal for working out with. I'd sorta miss the screen, it's not something you'd absolutely need if it's exclusively for exercise.

Scott Rolen with seven RBIs tonight. Naturally, I have him benched.

I'm halfway through the set at this point and since I've only seen maybe four or five of these so far, it's been a delight. Having re-watched a lot of Season One last week, it's amazing how much the show grew in a year's time. The first season's enjoyable, but not what I'd show someone were I trying to sell them on it. Some of the episodes in Season Two are just brilliant. They don't just bring the laughs, but some touching elements that don't feel hokey. I love how Michael, who everyone has a right to dislike, can come off like a complete ass one moment and be someone you genuinely feel sorry for another (i.e. the end of the Halloween episode).

The O's have such horrid pitching.

Looks like Texas left Matt Stairs behind in Detroit.

Billy Wagner for Cy Young? HA!

How the hell does a .411 career OBP, .303 batting average, 190+ home runs and 241 stolen bases equate into lazyness and untapped potential?! It's a frat thing, Al.
-
That's a shame. With Santana and Lirano and the way they play at home, the Twins could've been unstoppable if they'd made the postseason. That said, they didn't fall off the map in the time Liriano was gone, so it doesn't seem the team's going to throw in the towel because they don't have their second best pitcher.

Everyone should watch the highlights of the Dodgers/Cubs game for: 1) The awful Cubs defense 2) Pitcher Juan Mateo pinch-running in the 11th and scoring the winning run, despite the most awkard run I've seen in quite some time.
-
Al, what's the record for most errors in a nine-inning game? The Cubs now have six on the night and probably should have seven. They were down 7-0, but came back to make it 8-7 in the 8th. But two errors between Izturis and Lee put runners at the corners with one out. And then on a grounder that usually would've been two couldn't be picked by Lee. Ugly.
-
The Royals apparently had a big fight in their dugout during tonight's game.
-
Make it three errors for Bynum. And it's only the second inning.
-
Bynum's in the lineup for the third game in a row and made two errors in the first inning. Dusty doing his part in the drive for 100!

Good gawd that's crazy. As an Abreu owner, however, I'll gladly take it.
