Was he waxing his truck? Ha! That's great. I love Jeff Kent. I met him here in Houston at this BBQ place by Minute Maid Park last year when the Dodgers where in town. He signed a napkin for me, which I threw away on accident, but the brisket was bangin'~! I hate to pull a Czech, but..."by accident."

"Lady in the Water" reviews & thoughts

That or his movies suck. -
Stupid defensive indifference costs Francisco Liriano his chance at a complete game shutout. And now he's lifted with two outs in the ninth. Fuck.

I don't like the White Sox, but I think I'd prefer a tight race all the way over one team pulling away. It'll be more interesting this way.

Doug Melvin reportedly laughed at that when he was told. He said the rumor was started by someone within an organization interested in Abreu. Braves are up 10-0 in the 5th, making it the fifth straight game they've had 10 or more runs. And the Jays' pen totally crapped away this game.

It always made the most sense to start out at a CC, if for nothing else than to not go broke just taking your basics. I'm a bit annoyed by the whole high school label, but it can be accurate in some ways. Where I went, it didn't have the high school vibe when it came to cliques and all of that. No one's all that popular, because frankly, it doesn't seem like most people care to expend the energy in such things. Most people just show up, do their thing and get out. I always thought the notion of going away to school to be on your own was a tad overrated, since in most cases, your parents were funding the bulk, if not all of your excursion into "freedom."

Bang Bros. has quality material, but their attempts at humor usually fall flat, thanks in most part to Sanchez. Dude is like a 13-year-old and has a laugh that grates on your nerves.

Maybe Jorge Sosa should go back to being a position player.

He's a huge downgrade, and they will notice that within the next week. To AAA or the Royals (same thing) you go, Mr. Weaver. I think they noticed within an hour and five minutes.

Lets be honest. The last time the Blue Jays mattered was 1993. The Blue Jays haven't finished above 3rd place since and you are giving ESPN a fuck you because everybody knows that the Jays are only the third best team in the Division. Why dont you wait until the Jays show/prove something before you starting cursing off websites and people for not showing your team any love. ok. the jays are closer to catching the bosox than the white sox are to catching the tigers. yet, the white sox have been considered the best team all year. the jays deserve more credit than they get from many americans. they're a pitcher or two away from being real scary in the east. and i think most people with any knowledge, know this. That's probably more a case of the Sox only needing to hop over one team to win the Central, where as the Jays would have to leap-frog both the Evil Empire and Sox Nation.

Cubs gave up as many runs in tonight's sixth inning as they did over the course of 93 innings earlier this season.
-
And failed miserably. This is true. Uecker's more of a sarcastic bastard, while Ronny's like the scorned lover who keeps going back for more, thinking this time, it'll be different.

Sucks to hear. I got into an accident two weeks ago. Car was done, but I somehow managed to spin accross three lanes without hitting anyone else or getting injured myself (aside from a stiff neck). I'd never been in any kind of accident, but now I know what a helpless feeling they usually bring.

I only saw the first grand slam in between other viewing, but wow, that's the biggest inning in Mets' history, according to ESPN. That's just another addition to the list of Cub firsts this season.

This is like a little league game. A bad little league game.

He's the one who kept him in there to blow the game...twice.
-
Jesus, this pitching sucks. Let's do this thing; I need to get to bed.
-
Yeah. They were up four before the first out was recorded and even though the Padres kept in it, the Braves added on a run here or there to stay ahead until it was notched up at eight.
-
Well, that was quick.
-
I love how Skip sounds like a pissed off father. "And the Braves blow ANOTHER one!"
-
See, this is why I think defensive indifference is stupid.
-
You just knew Hoffman was going to blow it. He got worked over by every hitter he faced.
-
Jacque Jones apparently got into it with a pair of fans in the ninth inning. He reportedly urged them on from the top step of the dugout. From the same article, Todd Walker wasn't happy about Bob Brenly's criticism over his part in that costly botched double-play. Hmm, where have I heard this sort of thing before? The more things change...

John Lackey throws his second straight complete-game shutout. He's allowed a total of six hits over those two games.

The Royals are incapable of doing anything right.
