Not really, but it'll further illustrate the Cards' ability to make the deal the Cubs insist can't be made. Hendry's claimed since Lee went down that a trade couldn't be made, which is clearly a lie. One can be made; it just may cost you more. As I typed this, I saw the Cubbies have placed Wood on the DL...again. The guy's worthless and I pray the team not only declines his option for '07, but doesn't try to work out a new deal with him.
-
Nope. Except for possibly the first sale or two, this promotion's never worked on pre-orders.
-
The Cards are interested in Craig Wilson. Something's gonna break if they land him when the Cubs should've been pursuing him this whole time.

There's a report out there that Dmitri Young has checked into the Betty Ford Center.

Hmm, so 13 games under now. It's gonna take a nice winning streak from the baby bears for the city NOT to riot when Dusty gets his extension. I can't recall a team expected to contend this consistently not firing their manager after so many failed seasons.
-
It may have been. This was back in 2001, although I probably would get some remarks about the shirt now. Say what you will, but EVERYONE knew who the Bushwhackers were.
-
Nothing says "we give up!" like the soon-to-be infamous mid-game Freddie Bynum double switch. Whatever gets more guys who can't get on base into the lineup.
-
That's more or less the image they used for the team's shirt back in the late '80s. Subsequently, I bought the original shirt on eBay five years ago and wore a few times to school. Wrestling shirts are usually pretty damning, but just all I heard was "HEY, THOSE ARE THE BUSHWHACKERS!" whenever I wore that one. My purple Rockers shirt got more tepid or confused responses.
-
I didn't even know he was off it.

Has Arroyo always been this full of himself? He's been real cocky this season.
-
The JYD and Samoans shirts are probably the only ones I'd actually wear. The Rude one is probably the most disappointing of the lot. I'd love to sport a Rick Rude shirt, but not one where his entire oiled up body is featured. Jeez, guys, I have some standards. Not that high, though, since I'd wear one with fat samoans on it.

The Twins tied it up at nine with a slam in the 8th, but lose in extras thanks to a Carl Everett walkoff.
-
Something's up with Oliver Perez. I remember him being so dominate in 2004, but since then, his command has been awful, his strikeouts have decreased and he's getting shelled regularly.
-
In all fairness, Furcal's proven over the years he's got the means to go yard often for such a speedy guy.
-
Ha, so much for the Mets cushy lead. Furcal's a one-man gang tonight.
-
Alex Cintron again?!
-
Yeah, it'd been ages since they scored until this sixth-inning outburst. Albert goes down and NOW ESPN is talking about the holes in the team. Oh, and Joe Crede just cost the Sawx the lead by making a double-error. I wonder what Hawk's response to that was, since he's always on his jock.

My brother had the iTrip and I hated it. Slight movement of the iPod and we there was static. Perhaps he was doing something wrong. I use the tape adapter option; gets me by, but I'd like a little better sound quality.
-
I wouldn't put too much stock into today's outing. Cubs were impatient as ever. I'd wager five days from now, we'll be talking about him getting rocked.
-
Shutout by the god damn Astros. One run in two games. Tremendous. Maybe they can put Zambrano into the cleanup spot tomorrow.
-
Okay, someone explain the logic behind Tony Womack swinging on a 3-1 count in a one-run game? You take and worst case scenario, the count goes full. God, these guys are infuriating.
-
What a miserable team with RISP.
-
They're getting dominated by a guy who's never made a ML start. Their lone hit should've been called an error. This is embarrassing considering the Astros were only looking for six from the guy at the most.

Barry Bonds' personal reporter is uh, reporting the D-Backs have released Grimsley.
