NFL Week 7: You Mean There's A Football Team In Denver?
KingPK replied to CanadianChris's topic in Sports
The Pats are 19 point favorites in my football pool this week. There's no way in hell I'm touching that spread. -
I wouldn't be surprised if CBS puts it on their website, but I'm sure you'll find clips on YouTube. I thought he did well; he probably was really nervous and talked a bit too fast at points, but he plays off the contestants well (wonder how he'll handle those people that take forever to make up their minds on some of the games). Once he settles in to the role, he'll be fine.

They play Miami in Miami next week (my birthday, no less) and I've learned to expect the unexpected when they go down there (like Brady thinking he can complete a pass from flat on his ass twice in one season).
-
Drew Carey's tenure as host of The Price is Right starts tomorrow morning.
-
Made it by the skin of my teeth due to Oakland/SD. Me and Guitarist both had half point covers (Tampa for him and Washington for me).

Totally agreed. I even liked the tunes ESPN played in the background of the highlights. Dah dah dah-dah dahhhhhhhhhhh dah-dah dah dahdah. I can just pop in NFL 2K5 to enjoy that anytime I want.

Ho-hum, another 3 TD day for Brady. Dallas is getting pressure on him, though.
-
Game 3 is slated for a 7PM start on Monday. I don't get it either. And it sucks because I'm closing at work on Monday and won't get out until 9:30 or so.

BC didn't look impressive at all in South Bend today. THAT is your #2 team in the nation? If O'Brien was still there, I'd say they are going to screw it up sooner or later, but this year they might actually be in a BCS bowl.

MANNY~! It took a game, but we're getting the high quality series I predicted right now. EDIT: MIKEY~! Sign this man.

I WON!! Yeah, I beat a winless team, but I actually WON!

It's so nice to be able to enjoy a Red Sox LCS game without feeling like you are about to have a heart attack about 5 times during the game. And we're in the 8th three hours in; if this was the Yankees, we'd just be starting the 5th right now.

Looks like FOX has learned some things about their presentation. They pretty much went right to the game without Jeannie Zylazkyskoso wasting 15 minutes and have kept the extraneous crap to a minimum. Also, the use of Cleveland Rocks after a good Indians inning and Dirty Water (thank GOD they didn't choose Tessie) after a good Boston inning is a nice touch.

Almost ten years ago (1998), if his Pro Football Reference page says anything. His last three full seasons ('00. '01, '04) are marred by a nearly 1:1 TD/INT ratio (and in two of those seasons he threw more INTs than TDs).

Cincinnati Jacksonville (6.5) Cleveland (4.5) Chicago (5.5) N.Y. Jets Baltimore (9.5) Tennessee Washington Arizona (4.5) (6.5) New England (Romo's performance on Monday night makes 6.5 a fair spread to take) San Diego (9.5) Seattle (6.5) (3.5) N.Y. Giants Baltimore - 28 pts

Come on, Mac is okay; he'll even take your daughter out tonight and show her his world.. Just tell your children not to look his way.

I had never heard a threesome referred to as "The Tricycle" until this episode. Barney went old school with that belt, too. I don't know how long he's known Ted, but I wouldn't be surprised if Barney bought that thing as soon as he turned 18.

I'm checking their splits right now on BR.com and there doesn't really seem to be that much difference in the home and away numbers. Some of the road numbers are better (SLG and OPS against as examples), but it's not really by that much. Though they definitely have improved later in the season, I'll give you that.

Everybody's got Cardinals fever in the desert, it seems. But seriously, that's pathetic.

Sox/Indians has the potential to be a classic and ten times more interesting than Armageddon III would have been. Two possible Beckett/Sebathia matchups in one week? Giddyup! As far as the NLCS, it all depends on Colorado's pitching. Arizona doesn't have a great offense, so if they can hold the fort and allow Holliday and Co. to put some runs up, they have a fine shot at winning this one. Picks: Sox in 7, Rockies in 5 or 6.
-
I actually was going to look that up. Is this the one with the youngest teams in terms of years in the league (Colorado's been in for something like 12 years and the D'Backs have only been around about 10, I think)?
-
Well at least we won't have to wait four days for another baseball game.
-
I'll make my picks later, but I just wanted to point out that not even ESPN Deportes would carry this game.
-
I'm not the worst team in my conference. That's all I can hang my hat on right now.
