If their defense performs whatever voodoo ritual they did before the playoffs last year to actually become a good unit, they might. The AFC is STACKED though. New England, Denver, SD, along with an improving Jets, Jags, Titans (maybe), Chiefs (again, maybe) make for a tough dogfight this year to see who slaps around the NFC rep in Arizona (which I think will be New Orleans this year).

Since there's a thread in Wrestling for YT finds, why not here? I'll start with some Conan bits: Conan as a Border Patrolman in Canada The first episode (clips) Walker lever 1 2

My team just lost 2 of 3 to the Royals and have had their division lead cut in half because they can't hit w/RISP.

I remember there was a video compilation of all the stupid shit WCW was doing at that time, including Sid's nonsensical promos, the Russo blood thing that was mentioned, etc. I tried to find it on YouTube, but I don't remember what it was called.

Speaking of OT Super Bowls, what if New England takes John Madden's advice and doesn't go for it on that last drive, sending SB XXXVI to overtime? If the Rams win the toss, I think they could have won it since the Patriot defense was cooked at that point from being on the field for most of the second half.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f76cxD1D9o4 The trailer for the new UFC videogame announced for 360 and PS3 next year featuring Virtual Rampage and Virtual Iceman duking it out. I'm REALLY interested in the control scheme they come up for this one. -
They waited WAY too long. Jackie Chan's star has cooled off in America (he's probably still a god in Asia) and Chris Tucker's done, what, two movies since RH2? I just looked up his IMDB page. He hasn't done anything since the second one? WTF?

TUF Season 3 came out on DVD this week. I'm assuming they removed all the bleeps so that Dana White's speeches can actually be understood. And what UFC had the third Liddell-Couture fight? -
I was at the bookstore and saw a book titled Between the Ropes and had a picture of someone giving a piledriver (I think) on the cover. I guess it's from a couple of guys with a radio show of the same name? Anyone read it and have an opinion on it?

The OAO Mystery Science Theater 3000 Thread

Either that or one of those halls you can rent out for a banquet or party or something. I watched Racket Girls on YouTube last night. What a hidden gem of the Mike era. The frequent use in the movie of the word "bucketing" was really odd. -
Kimberly Page video Where the hell did they get that music? A softcore porn? The Weather Channel library?

What if the Eli Manning/Philip Rivers trade never happens and both guys remain on their original team? Does LT help Eli develop and the Chargers still become a contender in the AFC while Rivers scuffles in NYC?

You kind of contradict yourself in those two statements. Yes, Bledsoe came in and threw that TD pass late in the first half, but he didn't throw another TD and was typical mediocre Drew (sub 50% passing (like 4-16), 66 passing yards total) in the second half. It was the FG block/TD return and the two or three INTs of Stewart that won the game. If Drew had any future in New England and Brady wasn't perceived as the future of the franchise, Bledsoe would have retaken the starting job when he was eligible to come back in Week 10 or so.
-
They released the rotation for the series after the ASG and Wakefield's pitching Tuesday, followed by Dice-K and Gabbard (I think). I'd like Ortiz to skip the game as well. I definitely don't need to see him wear himself out in the Derby again.
-
I still think Brady would have been the starter by the end of the '01 season even if Bledsoe was there and healthy. Belichick and the staff were *very* high on Brady when they drafted him while they thought Bledsoe wasn't the fit for their system. If the team scuffled along with Bledsoe at the helm, I wouldn't have put it past Bill to name Brady the starter by Week 10 or so and then find a way to trade Drew in the offseason. If they lost to the Raiders, I don't think history would have changed much for the Patriots. If you remember, their '02 season was pretty "eh" (9-7, lost the division due to tiebreakers). It was what happened in the '02 offseason (signing Harrison, dumping Malloy, getting Daniel Graham and Branch in the draft, etc) that set the stage for the next three years.

I've given up on successfully being able to strum quickly enough to catch those fast runs of repeating notes (see: Misirlou on expert for an extreme example)

The starters after the first one are only going an inning or two anyway, so what's the difference? VOTE OKIE TO SEE THE OKIE-DOKIE IN SAN FRANCOKIE!

I caught the occasional Earl this season and I wouldn't complain too loudly if it wins. All I care about is Jack Coleman winning something. Well, either him, Masi Oka or Zachary Quinto. SOMEBODY from that show needs to take an award home.

I wish relievers got more love in the ASG, because Hideki Okajima really deserves the recognition right now. The guy is basically perfect in his role as set-up man/backup closer to Papelbon. The guy's given up four runs in 39 IP (including the one he just pitched tonight), walked only 10, given up one HR (against the first batter he ever faced). He's my AL ROY right now (even over Dice-K). The pitching is saving this team's ass right now.
