Looks like Pat Burrell is going to sign w/ the Rays. 2 years, $16M. Is the 2009 schedule set yet? Anybody know if the Rays play Philly in the regular season?

So, anyway, great season by the Dolphins. Way, WAY, better than I ever could have imagined (I told friends I'd take 5, maybe 6 wins before the season started). I didn't think they had much of a chance against Baltimore today, but it was still disappointing to see it go down like it did, with Chad throwing too many picks. Defense didn't do that badly, if only the offense could have avoided those turnovers in Baltimore territory (as well as giving the Baltimore offense short fields to work with), they may have had a shot. Hopefully, they are able to build on this season next year, and not pull a Jacksonville-in-2008 season.

So, we hit the fall break with a pretty interesting episode, as we've now got Michael vs. Linc, and Linc vs. HIS MOM (!), not to mention T-Bag (!) playing the angel on Linc's shoulder, urging him to let Gretchen live. Personally, I was hoping Linc would've turned around and plugged Don Self, as Gretchen is way more interesting to have around than Self. Although, it was pretty funny hearing Self call Mahone "Frank Liberace" (when they were trying to pump the marina guy for info), with Mahone replying "no relation".

I had 1 of my townspeople tell me "it is s-so freaking c-cold" the other day. I'm not 1 to care about language, but I'm surprised "freaking" made it into the game in that context.
