THE OAO Raw thread for 2/20/06
Spaceman Spiff replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
TRAMPOLINE CLOTHESLINE~! Fuck it, this gimmick rocks. -
No cus they think he might be goin to RAW after the draft Where HHH wants to work with him, so things aren't exactly looking up for Rey.
-
Goddammit.

Good, at least that means MNM get to keep the belts.
-
Plus he can talk, which already puts him a leg up on almost every other cruiser.

This week's Velocity and Heat
Spaceman Spiff replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
You're a better man than I for watching the entire shows. I only watch the matchs that sound interesting, or involve guys I like. -London/Kendrick vs. Dicks was OK. Dicks did some good heel double-team stuff, and London played a good face-in-peril. The SSP was a nice spot, and it was good to see L/K get a decent reaction after getting the win. -Nunzio/Crazy had some good spots, but no way it was Velocity MOTY (Noble/Kash vs. London/Kendrick holds that distinction so far). The slingshot senton to the floor was way cool. Nice little match. -Conway/Vis was much better than I anticipated. I liked Conway trying different stuff to get Vis off his feet. I was hoping Conway would finally get a win over Vis, as I think Conway has done a few jobs to him already. I wish they'd find something meaningful for Conway to do. -
Bury it in a respectful ceremony.

The Spud Webb dunk wasn't anything special. Hardest part was catching the ball w/ 1 hand.

Looks like 1 person in Nebraska won. I only matched 1 number on 1 or 2 of my 6 tickets.

Why does WWE continue to put on womens matches?
Spaceman Spiff replied to spman's topic in The WWE Folder
I agree with Jerk. The women seem to be a ratings draw, and make money for the WWE, not to mention publicity from things like Stacy doing Dancing with the Stars. And if the women were just interviewers or valets, their visibility would be limited. So, the WWE gives the people that make them money larger roles, which ultimately include angles & actual matches. Then explain why Rey is getting squeezed out of the WM ME spot in favor of Randy Orton. -
Real stars don't want to do it.

Threw up the ball, jumped, caught the ball behind his back w/ his left hand after the bounce, brought it around behind his back to his right hand, and dunked.
-
Noble/Kash vs. London/Kendrick was better.

Tazz. Has. A. Fucked. Up. Neck.

Dude, Booker & Sharmell are so great. Best act in the entire company.

Hey, Helms stole the "arrogant cover" from Jericho. Very cool.

One and Only Thursday Night RAW Thread 2-16-06
Spaceman Spiff replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Edge didn't carry Cena. Cena kicked in his fair share in that match. -
After taxes, you'd clear what? $170 million? Don't quit your day job.
-
That's probably at a particular point in time in the end/inning. Points aren't counted until all 16 rocks are thrown in the end.
-
Hey, where's Jamie Noble? At least Simon Dean makes an appearance. Velocity needs more of Dean squashing local indy guys w/ his repetoire of stolen indy moves.

Even the Nash action figure is lazy. It comes w/ a chair so he can sit down.

Roman Catholic. Went to Catholic School for grades 2-7. Rec'd all Sacraments except for matrimony & last rites (duh). Now, I'm non-religious. Don't think about religion much, if at all. Only go to church for weddings or funerals. Even when I attended Catholic School, we rarely, if ever, attended church. EDIT: didn't receive annointing of the sick, or holy orders (duh, and duh).

I don't know what the USA skip was thinking at the end of the Finland match. Should have went for the inside rock. Easier shot, and had a better chance of ending up giving them the win.
