From TV Guide (direct quotes from Damon Lindelof or Carlton Cuse [exec producer]): -Walt said to Shannon: "Push the button. Don't push the button. Bad."

Same here. I'll take SD/Velocity over Raw/Heat. The only exception to the above is that I like seeing Conway on Raw. He can work & talk. If he'd only get steady mic time and exposure on Raw, I'm pretty confidant he'd be getting over. Go back to the WWE.com video he did & play off that for his character ("The 'Con-Way' is walking into a bar, going up to the prettiest girl, and someone says 'hey, she has a boyfriend', and I say 'she's about to trade up'. The 'Con-Way' is doing what you want, when you want."). Give him mic time to do stuff like that. I think he also mentioned that he's "99.5% fat-free" in the video, so work that in, too. That'd work worlds better than the announcers saying "that's the Con-Way!" at the end of his matches. I'd still like to see a Conway/Benjamin feud, as I've really enjoyed the matches those 2 have had against each other (except for their last Heat match). It's a shame the Raw midcard is so barren, as Conway could make for a pretty entertaining midcard guy. It's a shame they didn't move him to SD in the draft, as he'd fit in well in the US Title scene.

The Amazing Race: Family Edition Thread

I laughed when the Gaghan family came in & took 1 try to finish the mud bog. -
Really?

I've been watching wrestling since the earlier 1980's (pre-WMI, I believe). Took a break in the early 90's, only to get back into the scene in 1996-ish from stumbling across ECW (aired at whatever ungodly post-midnight hour) & WCW. Watched everything from WWF, NWA, whatever ESPN aired in the 80's (World Class?), ECW, WCW, CZW, ROH (when they had a TV show), TNA, GLOW. Basically, any free-TV wrestling product. I watched WCW up to the very end, and I'd kill to have the promotion back (which tells you I can stomach a lot of crap). Obviously, with only TNA & WWE being on free TV, it doesn't leave me w/ much variety. I don't want to pay for my wrestling, which means I'm not going to be buying tapes from overseas. I don't order PPV's, never have. I'll pick up a DVD if the show looks good, but the last show I purchased was WMXX (I have purchased a bunch of the "special" DVD's, i.e. the Flair set, Benoit disc, Rey disc, Monday Night Wars, etc.). I'm very much a "casual" smark. I'll follow the rumors/news, but if you were to name a PPV, I most likely wouldn't be able to even name the ME match without looking it up (save for some of the bigger PPV's in the last couple years). I'm fully aware that the current WWE product is crap. That really doesn't effect my viewing habits, since I pretty much only watch to catch the guys I like in action (which gets increasingly hard to do as they continually seem release those guys, or bury them). I play basketball on Monday's, so I tape Raw, which makes it easier to watch (Steph? FFWD! HHH promo? FFWWD! Kane match? FFWD!). I'll watch/tape SD, depending on my social plans. Internet Velocity is becoming quite the enjoyable show. Brock not coming back is a disappointment, but Jamie Noble should be back soon, which is something that I'm looking forward to. So, um, yeah, that's a bunch of rambling.

Comments that don't warrant a thread

Yep. -
I'd be down for flashbacks of 18-year-old Shannon exploring her blossoming sexuality.
-
Add in the returning Jamie Noble. Forget about Rey, though, as he's above the cruisers now.

As opposed to the flashy black tights he wore before?

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread

You can point to an example in that same movie to back up Y2J's point: Yoda killing the clone troopers who were about to shoot him in the back. What reason would Yoda have had to expect that scenario to happen? He was still able to sense it & defend himself before it was too late. My take on it was that Anakin didn't make up his mind to help Palpatine until the very last second, thus Mace was caught off guard. Had Anakin showed up with the sole intent of helping Palpatine, then Mindu would have been able to sense Anakin's feelings, and been able to defend himself against Anakin's attack. Of course, that would have left him open to Palpatine's counter-attack, so Mace was pretty much boned either way. -
Let's all welcome Brett Favre to TSM.

There's a little treat for you Stacy Kiebler fans. Taken before the show. You can see other pics on the WWE.com site.

Are you comparing Kennedy to Jericho or RVD? Because that's just wrong. Jericho & RVD were HUGELY over when they came into the fed. Kennedy is doing OK w/ a humorous schtick, but he's not nearly as over as RVD or Jericho were. He doesn't have this huge surge of momentum behind him that warrants them shooting him to the top of the card right now.

Jim Ross possibly leaving RAW announce team
Spaceman Spiff replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
That avatar is hilarious. -
1. Yes, you've probably gotten a lot of picks right. 2. EVERYONE but Illinois (ineligible), Miami (Spaceman Spiff), and Florida (AgentBond) has at least two losses. Those three only have one loss. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have 2 losses.

You so CRAAAAAZY.

Finlay does. Don't think Taylor does, though.

That Dean segment was pretty good. The gimmick is definitely growing on me.
-
1) VPW2 2) WCW/nWo Revenge 3) No Mercy
-
I thought Dean landed oddly last week when he was thrown out of the ring.

Frank Shamrock looks like he could pass as Josh Matthews' older brother (at least in that pic, any way). -
Steph on TV in any capacity is not a positive.
