What was his finisher? I turned away from the match. I'm really digging COnway's finisher w/out putting the guy on the ropes. -

They has their shot to win w/ the bases loaded in extra innings. But Rollins decides to start hacking at what would have been 2 called balls after he went up 2-0, before eventually grounding out w/ a force at home, with Lofton following by swinging at the 1st pitch and grounding out. Nice job guys. On the plus side, it's nice to see David Bell stepping it up at the plate lately. Hopefully he continues the pace. And what happens to Thome next year? They can't send Howard back down to the minors, and they can't have him riding the bench as a reserve. I don't want the Phillies to trade him, because I think there's a good chance Thome may be done.

I'll jump on the BikerTaker (heel, not face) bandwagon, too. The only time I liked the guy.

Hard-boiled and deviled are the only eggs I'll eat. True story: back when I was really young (around 6 years old), my mom made me some hard-boiled eggs. I stuck my fork into the 1st one, and the thing literally exploded into my face from the pressure. The next time I had one, I ducked under the table before trying the egg.

Just look at the WWE!

She was in "Empire Records", too. The murdered priest also played Harris (the veteran pitcher) in "Major League".

The actor who played Admiral Ozzel passed away. He also played Hitler *5* times! http://movies.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=200326

If you're going to run a Rey/Eddie cage match next week, most likely using it to blow off the feud, why would you want to job Rey the week before the match? Eddie's on a losing streak, and now Rey lost going into the match.
-
Why would he fight Orton again? Foley already put him over, so doing it again is pretty pointless.

Anyone else see that staring contest between Frank Robinson and the ump (Randy Wolf's brother)? The inning was over, and the 2 of them had a staredown (Robinson in the dugout, Wolf behind home plate) for a good 45 seconds before Wolf turned away.

There's no way they have Tomko squash Benjamin. No way. ...right? Right??? I could see them adding Cade/Murdoch vs. Hurricane/Rosey.

Phillies beat the Mets 8-2, as Utley goes yard twice off Pedro. Howard & Lieberthal also hit HR's, both off Pedro. Brett Myers gets the win despite a shaky start.

Yeah, he was far beyond driven. -
Somebody tell me what JMA said...
-
Y'know, I'm never very comfortable when Urbina comes in. Maybe it was his 1st couple games for the Phillies, where he gave up some HR's and didn't look very good, but ever since then he always makes me hold my breath. Tonight just reinforced it.

I do. I used the joke on page 1.

I nodded off for a second & missed the RKO. So, yeah, I wasn't into Holly/Orton.

Well, wait. I don't know, OK. These words of spoken do not seem like true ones. Wait, I don't know how to think about this. Well, OK, we'll see how this goes!

But Lieberthal hasn't done much since he got his big contract, so it's not like this season has been an anomaly. Anyone listen to 610 WIP this morning? I guess Cataldi's on vacation, so John Marzano's been in the studio last week and this week. The show's been pretty good w/ him, Al, Rhea. Marzano came up w/ a great nickname for Tomas Perez: No-mas. I can't stand watching that guy swing for the fences in every at-bat. They were discussing the Phillies lineup, and each person came up w/ their lineup based on the premise that you had to win 1 game, or the season would be over. The consensus seemed to be 1) Abreu 2) Lofton 3) Utley 4) Burrell 5) Howard 6) Bell 7) Rollins 8) Lieberthal (somebody wanted Pratt instead) 9) pitcher I know Al will disagree w/ Abreu leading off, but it's either Abreu or Lofton or Michaels. I think Rollins has shown (outside of his rookie year, and parts of last year) that he isn't a leadoff hitter. It's a little radical, but you break up the inning killing trio of Bell/Lieberthal/pitcher, get Rollins out of leadoff, and put your best on-base guy at the top. I'd be at least interested in seeing how that lineup would work. The only caveat would obviously be losing out on RBI's w/ Abreu.

You were saying?

Well, wait.

Prediction: Masters gets HBK in the Masterlock, but HBK backs them up into the corner. Masters refuses to break the hold, resulting in a DQ loss.
