Me, too. I would have preferred that Conway ended up on SD, and have Doug & Conway be big parts of the US Title scene. As it is, I hope we get a Conway/Benjamin feud, as they worked really well together in that match on Raw a couple months ago.

As the Phillies yet again manage to piss away their season, I thought I'd pose some questions to you. 1) IIRC, you were OK with the hiring of Charlie Manuel. You still think that was a good idea, especially since Jim Leyland was out there? 2) How much longer do they stick w/ Thome? He's just plain not getting the job done. Should they bring up Ryan Howard and give him significant time at 1B? Move Thome down in the lineup? 3) Are they going to get another (quality) starting pitcher this season? Wolf is out, Padilla has fallen apart, if they have any hope of doing anything this season, they need another starter. 4) Do you think the team is going to turn it around? Aside from that 12-1 homestand, they've been mediocre, at best. You said sooner or later the talent would kick in, but time is running out.

I'm by no means a huge ECW mark (I did enjoy the product mostly), but holy crap does JBL have an inflated sense of self-worth. Which most people said about JBL during the majority of his reign. Like JBL is/was some huge draw. Besides which, the bWo weren't ME'ers, so the criticism doesn't work. I'd like to see how many people JBL could get into an arena. And what would JBL's legacy be when he retires? "Midcard tag guy who got an undeserved push & title reign"? I'll admit he grew into the role, and worked to improve himself, but is anyone going to remember JBL 5 years after he's retired?

Nah, Conway is good. Grenier is useless, though. I would've put Orlando on my list had I thought there was a chance of it happening. As it stands, he's the US Champ, a member of JBL's Cabinet, and trained by Rocky Johnson. There's no way he's getting let go. I'd be all for it, though.

Fans went batshit for the Batista/Kane staredowns. I'd imagine a Batista/Lesnar staredown would produce nuclear heat, as well as much better matches than Kane/Batista.

But they'll throw a quarter of a mil at the Diva winner. Batista is no threat to HHH's top spot, so he has no problems putting him over. Especially if Batista gets shipped off to SD, since there will be no reminder for the fans that HHH lost to the guy 3 straight times. I'm holding off on the "big ups, Trips!" until seeing how Cena is handled.

Prediction: Phillies continue to suck ass, and prove what a fluke the 12-1 homestand was. I will, however, be attending the 7/3 game vs. the Braves.
