Rebuttal: AS is just too white.

Statement: I believe what he was trying to say is have Hulk Hogan on the show to get pops and ratings in a non-wrestling role position like Austin as the co-GM / Sheriff was for RAW. That still wouldn't help anyone, much like Austin's "sheriff" stint. False - Nash would only be a cancer. Maybe, but Jamie Knoble already does a great "mini-Benoit".

I'd be immensely happy if they jobbed him to Kidman.
-
Hogan vs. JBL - I dunno, I doubt Hogan's going to want to do a high-profile job to a glorified mid-carder. Hogan vs. Angle could work, but does Angle need the rub? Hogan vs. Eddie - I don't think they'd try to turn Eddie. Hell, they tried once, and it didn't work. Besides, unless they've got big plans for Eddie, I don't see the point in doing this program, especially if they continue to stick w/ JBL as champ. Cena would be logical, in order to cement him as a ME player. But would they want to risk Hogan getting bigger pops than Cena before putting Cena in the ME scene? I can't see Hogan agreeing to job to Dupree or Reigns. It all depends on Hogan's ego. If he's willing to come in and put people over, then maybe it'd be OK (although I'd still have reservations). But with Hogan, that's a big if.

I just don't think Hogan's ego would let him be used as fodder to put other people over. Besides, who would they have him put over?
-
Rebuttal: No it doesn't. He'd just overshadow everyone else, and it wouldn't pay off by giving anyone a rub. He'd get big pops, which would feed his ego, which would end up in Hogan pushing for a big spot, and ultimately walking out over some sort of disagreement w/ Vince.

Statement: Rey Misterio should be permanently removed from the Cruiser Division and made a legit upper-midcard player. Furthermore, he should hold the US Title at least once before WMXXI rolls around.

I believe you've just confused AS.
-
I'm perfectly fine w/ SD's theme. Of course, it fit better w/ the black & white video.

Got tickets for the 10/1 Pearl Jam "Voters for Change" show in Reading, PA.

I'd take Jindrak on SD over Suzuki and Heidenreich any day of the week.

I'm a bit confused - should we guess the total points for Wash. St./NM? And #1 and #3 are a bit confusing. Are you asking the same question?

Best players from your team...

Phillies: Johnny Estrada Scott Rolen Curt Schilling Man, the season would be so much different w/ those 3 players. Any others, Al? -
Yeah, because normally Taker would be jobbing left & right
-
Not so much the set, but I much preferred the black & white opening video to the laser/smoke/shadow opening they're using now.
-
True, but look at last season - Marlins fire their manager, bring in McKeon, and go on to win the World Series. It's too late for that to happen to the Phillies, though.
-
Dude, that is OOOOOOLD.
-
Just saw the Phillies "highlights" - a triple play squanders a bases loaded, no out situation for the Phillies (they did get 1 run on a hit batter, though). Somebody put the Phillies out of their misery.
-
Scholarly Thomas!
-
Kurt needs to go back to the hairy chest. That was bad ass. (yeah, I can't believe I typed that, either)
-
Someone please tell me they screencapped that pic of Taker with his tongue out that JBL showed. And I LOVELOVELOVE that back suplex that Knoble used on Kidman. He hasn't busted that out in a while.

It looks like there's some direction to the show: -they look to be doing something w/ the cruiser belt, although it took a Spike heel turn to do it. Plus, I'm not looking forward to a Spike/Scotty feud, but at least it could be called "direction". -the US Title has the Book/Cena best-of-5 series. I've dug the stuff between these 2, although a lot of other people haven't. -the tag belts are being used, with the bonus of getting Paul London on TV almost every week. Possibility of a Chavo/Knoble vs. London/Kidman feud based off their match from this SD, which should be all kinds of awesome. -looks like they're sticking w/ JBL as a long-term champ. -Eddie/Angle feud

I actually found the shows leading up to Slam to be more enjoyable than the Raw's leading up. For me, I find the undercard on SD to be more enjoyable than Raw's, while the Raw ME scene surpasses SD, so there's always something for me on each show. It also helps that a lot of my favorite guys are on SD.

Tune in at least to catch Chavo/Knoble vs. Kidman/London. The ME should be decent, too. I'll be watching (although not necessarily commenting in here at the same time). IMO, it's been better than it was 3 months ago. I think the 3 (or so) shows leading up to Slam were the best SD shows since WMXX. The cruisers are getting time, they've cleaned up some crap (i.e Mordecai back to OVW). However, they're bringing Heidenreich back, and it looks like Spike & Scotty are going to feud, and Suzuki is still around, so there's still a bit of suck on the show.
