I was digging the moves & reversals Knoble was throwing on Spike in the beginning of that match, but they lost me when SPIKE STARTS OUT-WRESTLING KNOBLE. WTF? Knoble should be the Benoit of the cruiser division, but he's jobbing to Spike for the 2nd time in under a month.

OK, now *that* makes me feel old. It should, grandpa. Eh? You're going to need to speak up.

You watched American Idol over the Eddie special? Hell, you watched American Idol over anything else that was on TV last night? ::shakes head:: -

Good, they got it on in Philly. -
Yep, "1st and 10" was the name. That foreign placekicker went on to voice the Crypt Keeper in "Tales From the Crypt".

Phillies also have exactly *1* title in 121 years of existence. A 76ers team holds the all-time worst NBA record. The Flyers had 2 guys die young from leukemia, 1 guy die young (19) from a boating accident, and 1 guy crash his Porsche leaving him brain dead (also young). That's a lot considering they've been in existence for less than 40 years. I don't care about the Eagles, though.

I watch Raw & Smackdown every week (I've actually been taping SD lately because I've been playing basketball w/ friends on Thursdays). I can't remember the last time I watched Heat, though. I'll watch/tape Velocity if it has some interesting matches (anything involving Knoble is a guaranteed viewing). I never order PPV's, but I'll pick up the DVD if the show turns out to be good. I don't order tapes of indy/puro stuff. A local station carries some indy stuff (CZW, NWA Wildside, used to carry ROH, MLW before they folded, now carry TNA's XPlosion!) at midnight a couple nights during the week, so I'll catch some of that once in a while (usually CZW). Tough to stay awake to watch them when you have to get up at 6 AM, though. I miss WCW. Watched them up to the very end (preferring WCW to WWF).

It's a conspiracy by the league against Ricky to hold down the Dolphins.

Fantastic special. Dig those mullets -
Plus, they show up late, leave early, and couldn't hold onto the Rams or Raiders.

Hell fucking no. Multiplied by infinity. +1. Why does the WWE feel the need to act as a charity for has-been wrestlers, yet cut young (and inexpensive) guys because "creative had nothing for them"? I can sorta see Sting. While I'm against them bringing him in, there's a chance he could be somewhat of a draw. What does Waltman bring to the table that couldn't be done by someone younger & cheaper?

You forgot the 1998-1999 playoff game in Miami. 4th down, under a minute left, Marino throws a pass that is caught out of bounds. Ref: "just give it to him". Dolphins score, Bills get fucked. Eh. During that miracle comeback against the Oilers, on 1 of the TD's (or at least a long pass), 1 of the Bills WR's (white guy, I'm thinking either Beebe or Tasker) ran for a couple strides out of bounds in order to get past the DB before catching the ball.

You're older by 6 days, gramps. I'm pretty sure Dr. Tom is 30+

Meh. FBI vs. London/Kidman could be decent if given some time, S2H getting squashed is always fun, and Knoble is *SO* wasted in that match (he almost gets a win over Rey, but he's running away from Spike?). Heidenreich on the SD roster? SD is SAVED

Bring in Sting? No, no, no. As for Book, good for him. They had a chance to totally rejuvenate him, and make him a legit title contender, then use him to put over some guys before he was done, but they totally blew it by jobbing him to Taker and giving him the voodoo gimmick. I hate to sound like Anglesault, but Booker - retire, enjoy your life, and thanks for all your hard work. Seeing you win the WCW title was one of the few joys in the WCW ME scene towards the end.

Bumped for the tidbit in Bruiser's DVD column: I would have been happy w/ a bare-bones release. 20 comentaries? Awesome.

I meant spinning toe hold.

I doubt she gained that much, but she definitely put on a few. She still looked good, though.

Add in the step-over toe hold, ala Terry Funk.

1) Stomp on ankle 2) Pull opponent towards ring apron, then slam leg/ankle down on the apron 3) Pull opponent towards corner, slam leg/ankle against ring post 4) Take opponent to the outside, slam leg/ankle against ring steps 5) The "shinbreaker atomic drop" can be sold as an ankle move 6) Place opponent's leg on bottom rope, then jump on leg 7) Jumping knee drop to the ankle There's 7 ways to work over the ankle. I'm sure there are other believable moves/holds that can be used.
