FYI: Esche is supposed to be starting tonight. The Flyers settled on "the flu" as the explanation. Supposedly, they gave him some drugs, and he felt better. Makes sense, since Rechhi had the flu earlier in the series. The Flyers are bringing Niitymaaki (sp???) as a 3rd goalie with them just in case.

    Eugene Training Segment

He eased the HHH mean-face water bottle (the head was pretty big and had that cro-mag look to it) into a shot and had it look face to face with Regal, then Eugene did the "pose, spit water" thing. The better one was when dramatic music was playing, and they cut to a tight shot of Regal's face, then Eugene's, then the HHH water bottle.

He's injured, last I heard. Not sure what the specific injury is, though (foot?).

    The Alexander Perezhogin Incident

Malarchuk was lucky. He was on the end where the zamboni enters/exits, so he was able to skate himself off the ice quickly to get help. IIRC, they said if he had been on the other end of the ice, he probably would have died.

Sports Feats You'd Like to See...

They'd have to average 318 yds/game, which is pretty tough to do. Marino had 5084, and I think the next closest was Kurt Warner at 4830 during his big year w/ the Rams. Even the TD mark would be tough, as Marino had 48, meaning someone would have to average 3 TD/game just to tie the mark. Next closest was Marino again at 44, then Warner at 43.

The problem is that Booker *should* be the next challenger for Eddie. Jobbing him to Taker cuts off any momentum he may have, and then you're back to a situation like Bradshaw where the fans know the challenger has no shot to beat Eddie, and thus don't care about the feud. Book going over Taker is win/win - Taker won't be hurt, and Book gets a high-profile win to boost him into a feud w/ the champ.

WWE Has No Plans To Move Talent To SD!

Fans also remember his awful feud w/ HHH. Steiner is just horrible in the ring at this point, so Eddie would have to pull a minor miracle to get good matches out of him. At least Bradshaw is mobile. As for Test, he's been pathetically unover without Stacy by his side. Needs more Knoble.

Odd place for the Eddy/Bradshaw match (before Holly/Jindrak???). That better not be how the JD match plays out. Book *NEEDS* to win.

WWE Has No Plans To Move Talent To SD!

Test & Steiner are no more credible as challengers to Eddie than Bradshaw. Plus, both are injured, and haven't been on TV in ages. Nobody would buy them as ME'ers. When last on Raw, they were low-card players, so to bring them to SD and drop them in the ME scene would be a mistake. -Take Rey out of the cruiser division and make him an upper midcard player. He's popular & credible enough to be a player there, and a future US Title champ. -Focus on the tag division. Pair up some cruisers as teams, rather than use them as jobbers for the big guys. You've got face champs, so start building up some heel teams to challenge Rico/Haas. FBI & Akio/Sakoda could both be challengers. When they lose the belts, Haas moves into the upper midcard as a single. -Use the cruisers. They need to get over their disdain for the smaller guys. They've got some good workers being wasted, so use them to carry the early portions of the show. they'll also help fill out PPV cards. We just had a fantastic Rey/Knoble match on Velocity - there's no need to bury these matches on the B-shows.

Speculation is either a concussion from game 4 (when he took the shot off the mask) or flu (which Recchi had earlier).
