Notes from Smackdown:(*Spoilers*)
Spaceman Spiff replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Big Show was damaged goods, too, and he turned out pretty well on SD. SD needs heels, and Booker needs a fresh start. Because they're probably saving it for a PPV. No need to give it away for free. -
Actually, it looks like he got BANNED~! yesterday. Anyway, Orton's has been getting some heat. It'll be interesting to see how he fares post-Foley, which is the real test. However, Dupree seemed to draw more heat this past Monday than Orton did on any Raw I can remember.

What are they going to be doing at a Comcast office?
-
Not enough buy-out guys for Orlando to beat.
-
Trading Chuck to Raw is utterly pointless. I'm guessing they turn the Dudz heel, but breaking up an established heel team (FBI) for no apparent reason doesn't make sense, esp. if they intend on focusing on the tag scene (which, by putting the Dudz there, I'm assuming they are doing).

21.428571428571427% Except for the Star Wars questions, I did a lot of guessing.

What is this, 5th grade? Stop w/ all the "gay" stuff, you're only making yourself look bad/immature.
-
You seem to defend RVD a lot...

Brock Lesnar Jamie Noble CHUCK PALUMBO~! Eddy Guerrero Chavo Guerrero Jr. Chris Jericho Rey Misterio Chris Benoit Big Show Shelton Benjamin
-
Palumbo was carrying around the LEX FLEXER~!, using it as his international object of choice.

HHH and Taker on the same show (barring any upcoming trades)? Looks like SD lockerroom morale just got jobbed out. And I assume (barring any trades) that HHH will take over Lesnar's spot on SD. Does that mean that Taker & HHH will feud now ::snicker:: ?
-
I can't imagine Paul London being extreme though. That's OK, I can't imagine the new ECW being extreme, either. Sabu? No fucking way.
-
Allow me to repeat (re: goaltenders): Not. A. Chance.
-
"WOOOOO! My androids of HHH and Randy Orton are a success! No one will be the wiser! No, to just turn them on..." Meh.
-
Maybe HHH will get her pregnant, assuring us of 9 more months of Steph-less television.
-
I thought it was always a gesture of good will, as if to say "please don't jump to the competition." Sullivan was probably forced into it by higher-ups. Problem was (from WCW's standpoint) that Benoit saw through the bullshit and knew that, sooner or later, Sullivan was going to screw him over.
-
Not a chance. Burke is purely a back up, and the only way we see him play is if Esche completely flames out (i.e. Flyers lose 2 games back-to-back by being blown out). If Burke is bewteen the pipes, then the Flyers are done.
-
In a way, I'll miss the Vet. The only home baseball stadium I"ve known, and I've seen countless games there. Can't wait to see a game at the new place, though.
-
Yeah, there's really too much of that wrestling stuff happening on SD. We need Austin driving his ATV all over the show and beating up guys to balance it out. Although, if that means no Steph, I may have to rethink my position. Hmmm.....
-
There was a 2nd version of that commercial, starring Pete Stoyanovich (Dolphins kicker) and another kicker. Same premise, but kicking FG's instead.
-
Like Eddie and Chavo? They were just as boring during that feud. That wasn't even a real feud for the Bashams. The focus of that was creating tension between Eddy & Chavo to lead to the split. The Bashams took a backseat to that story.

Benoit is 'just a transitional champion'...

It's been well documented several tims over thta Jericho ahs been the one booking the Trish storyline. So if anyone has made him look like a bitch in that situation, it's Chris Jerico. I'm pretty sure that Jericho hasn't been booking it for a while now. -
One and Only Smackdown Thread For 3/18/04
Spaceman Spiff replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
Here's what I got out of Haas/Benjamin: You had 2 guys, teammates, having to face each other for the 1st time (IIRC). Both are a bit tentative and not sure what to expect out of the other, so they revert to their amateur backgrounds to feel out the other. Haas tries to keep it pretty staright-forward, however Benjamin starts getting all cocky. Haas decides to ditch the amateur stuff and they switch to the pro style. Haas gains control, but Benjamin is able to connect w/ the Dragon Whip to get the surprise win (notice Haas's "huh, you got me this time" look). I thought it worked pretty well, even if the mat stuff went on a bit too long. I don't get the "didn't go anywhere" sentiment on the mat sequences. Sure, it didn't directly lead to the finish, but it told the story of 2 friends forced to face each other, and each is unsure how the other would react. Hopefully, they don't split these 2 up between Raw & SD, as they could use this match to build a feud between them. -

"Feed me." Just, um, imagine that Benoit's picture is in there, too.
