But...if they told us it's Torrie/Sable, and they showed us "behind the scenes" footage, there's no reason for a feud, or for Stacy & Jackie to team up. Right? Right???
-
So, does this put an end to the Jackie/Stacy stuff on Raw?
-
Jamie seems like a pretty decent girl, too.
-
It appears that posts & threads are missing, though. Anything posted between yesterday morning to this morning seems to be gone.

To be fair, the Bashams haven't had any feuds, save for a short program w/ Eddy/Chavo, which really only served to help break up the Guerreros. They have a match here & there, focus on Shaniqua, and that's it, so it's easy to see why they don't have any heat. I like the team, so it's a shame to see them just do a random job to drop the titles. So, then I guess Rikishi/S2H drop the belts to WGTT, who then become a heel team w/ no challengers, just like the Bashams. As for SD, usually the televised show comes off a lot better than the spoilers would seem to indicate, but I have a hard time seeing how this week's show could pull that off. This show just looks bad. Last week's SD was heads & shoulders better than the last 2 Raw's.

Marino resigns as Dolphins VP of football ops
Spaceman Spiff replied to CanadianChris's topic in Sports
I don't see it as any big deal. They hired a GM, which was the most important thing, so Marino leaving this job shouldn't have any sort of impact. -
"Snogging mingers"? OK, I know what "snogging" is, but "mingers" = ???
-
You could say the same exact thing about Knoble, yet he only got a 1 month shot at Rey, with only 2 matches (1 of which was ~3 minutes). Their SD match was all kinds of good.

HHH - has good matches (usually) w/ HBK HBK - bumps & sells great (well, up until he kips up) Orton - seems to be improving Bradshaw - nice clothesline A-Train - good agility for a big man, decent grasp of psychology, willing to job to pretty much anybody Big Show - great charisma & mic skills, has been busting his ass since moving to SD Mark Henry - "Chocolate Moose" is a cool move, although he really doesn't use it much any more Batista - decent on the mic (better than Orton)

I wasn't actually serious. It was in response to everyone creaming their pants over Supernatural Taker.
-
Fired? Ah, a guy can dream can't he? Only if he takes 50% of the roster with him starting with all of Evolution. Yes, even that Dudley Moore acting freak Flair. He's just pathetic to watch now and I'm suddenly finding myself having more respect for Hulk Hogan. Have Flair dump Evolution, and re-form the Horsemen. Him, Benoit, Arn, and go find Tully. Who wouldn't mark out for that? It'd be fun. Flair wins the belt from HHH, and the rest run interference to make sure he keeps the belt.
-
Yeah, have the guy who had neck surgery do exactly that. Great idea.
-
Y'know what would be *WAY* out there, really stretching the bounds of reality? Taker putting someone (preferably a "newer" guy) over. Or maybe conjure up some heat for Randy Orton
-
Why stop w/ lightning? Taker can shoot "death rays" w/ his eyes - he just has to look at his opponent, and they'll fall down, w/ Taker getting the pin. Show vignettes of Taker "flying" through the air. Have Kane studying magic so he can learn spells like "revive" or "heal" to cast against Taker during their WM match, since anybody who's ever played an RPG can tell you that undead creatures are weak against such spells.
-
Also, I find it slightly hypocritical that they banned Helms from performing the chokeslam because he's "too small" for the move to be credible (despite his character being a superhero), yet Taker is back to shooting lightning & making the ring smoke. And, yes, I get that Helms just thinks he is a superhero, and doesn't really have superpowers, but I don't think we're suppposed to believe that Taker is really undead w/ supernatural powers, either.

Stuff you haven't listened to in forever.
Spaceman Spiff replied to Edwin MacPhisto's topic in Music
Funny you should bring up this topic. A couple weeks ago, I was looking over my CD's, and realized I hadn't listened to Mazzy Star's So Tonight That I Might See in at least a couple years. Popped it in on the way to work. Great album. -
I should also note that I hate both Taker & Kane, so that doesn't help matters, either. But even if I didn't, I'd still find it pretty lame.
-
So, either Undertaker has supernatural powers (lame), or he snuck into the arena and rigged up the "lightening" and the smoke for the ring (whaaah?). "Suspension of disbelief" is fine & dandy, but this stuff is just awful.
-
Orton uses *WAY* too many European uppercuts...
-
You also still like Michael Jackson.
-
Are you serious? I think that would have bombed worse than the WBF and XFL combined.
-
Tom Brady probably gets more (female) tail than this entire board combined. I'm not a Pats fan, but I'm just sayin'. Nice thread title. Are you purposely hoping to get banned/warned?
-
He's their starting middle linebacker, and 1 of the best defensive players in the league. It's understandable that the Bears would try to stop him from participating in wrestling. If he lands wrong, or if somebody falls into him, he could easily blow out a knee, hurting the team (which is paying him big $$$). It's fairly common that teams bar their top players from participating in "risky" activities, i.e motorcycles, jet skiing, etc.
-
But there's the problem - the average fan isn't going to tune in to watch wrestling late on a Sat. night, no matter who is on the roster. You'd be taking some of the biggest fan favorites and putting them in a bad situation, esp. Cena, arguably the hottest face in the company right now, that will more than likely end up losing them their heat. Plus, you end up hurting Raw & SD by taking away some of their biggest names. I can't see how they could make this work without making it seem like a C-level show.
-
I would say it isn't. He was never a good mic guy, and he really only thrived in hardcore matches, which they really don't do anymore. Add in the age factor, plus uncertainty on how many people remember him, as well as ring shape (he's been out how many years), and I would say they should pass on bringing him back.
