No chance for a college or pro sports career, but I did miss out on a chance for some little league glory (local league, not the LL World Series). I was the "star" pitcher on our team, and we were in 1st place, but we had to move to northern New Jersey (from the Philly area, my dad got transferred for 2 years for his job) roughly 1/2 way through the season. My team made it to the champ. game for the league, but lost. I probably would have had a good chance to pitch that game had we not moved.

I went to the 76ers/Magic game on 12/22, and the 76ers were doing a dress-up-as-Santa promotion, and they announced that the guy who played Santa from the Phillies game booing was there. He got a good amount of boos.

VPW2 came out before No Mercy (I believe), so I guess you could say NM was based on VPW2. And, like Spree said, it shouldn't be that hard to get, provided you have a credit card. Most video game importers should have it (or be able to get it). Also, eBay is another way to get a copy.

Here's the NY Times article: There's the problem - no matter how well it sells (and it will sell BIG), the 3 won't make anything extra.

Best - VPW2 Worst - WCW Nitro

You could always not use that. Plus, the more you use that "trick", the more you'll be susceptible to tapping out quickly.

Sooooo...... .....anybody want my Rumble tickets? I hoped I'd never have to use this smiley, but here goes:

Yep, VPW2 is the best of the series. Mask editor, shoot fighting, huge roster, awesome list of unlockable legends, the ring announcer TALKS~!, the 1st one w/ running grapples. Just an awesome, awesome game.

I'm sure they would settle for P-A-T

Great defense and good run game (Lewis = 1364 yds., Priest Holmes = 588, team total = 2199)

Erm, yeah. Thanks for stating obvious facts. Manning is the better quarterback, period. Sure, he's choked in the playoffs, but that still doesn't make him less of a QB than Brady. In a few years, we'll be making this comparison... Peyton = Dan Marino. Brady = Joe Montana. Marino never had a dominating defense (like Brady when the Pats won the SB), nor a good running game to support him (Manning has Edgerrin, yet still hasn't won a playoff game). Marino still got to the SB w/out either, but ran up against one of the great 49er teams. Marino's teams were completely 1 dimensional, and it wasn't until his last few years where the defense was even respectable. I realize I'm probably biased in this regard, but I think Marino doesn't get his "props" due to not winning the SB, when his teams were never had a run game or defense, both of which you need to win. Has there ever been a 1-dimensional team that has won the SB?

Look at Kyle Korver dropping 18 points on Boston, including 5/5 from 3-point range. 76ers still lost, though. Korver's been knocking down his 3's. You just know, though, that if Larry Brown was still coaching Philly, Korver would never get off the bench.

Another "sequel" to a Jim Carrey movie....

I think it's pretty much implied that Miami wins, what with Marino coming back and all. -

Pfft. The original owned because it had DAN MARINO~! giving an Oscar-worthy performance, as well as Miami winning the SB. -
Y'know, I typed that I don't normally find Molly hot except for when she's wearing jeans, but thought better of it considering my Molly/Bret comparison, and deleted it.

Molly looked a bit like Bret Hart (jeans, leather jacket, "wet" looking hair, belt over the shoulder) during the Vicky/Ivory match.

Because JR is senile. -
So that's why Angle does comedy-based feuds in the mid-card?

No. 1) The majority of the fanbase has never seen a Sting match, so why would they care about Sting? 2) If he works like he did towards the end of WCW, I want no part of that (get beat on a bit, then no sell everything to run through his trademark moves). 3) The last thing the WWE needs is to bring in another old guy to shove into the top of the card. Build new stars, don't keep dredging up stars from the past. 4) Allegedly, there's rumors that WWE talent is worried about cuts after the new year (1wrestling, so take it for what it's worth). But if true, I don't want to see talented guys who never got a shot get released to bring in Sting, who won't come cheap, and who won't be the draw that people are saying. 5) He'll probably draw some ratings out of curiosity initially, but that's it. He won't bring back the lost WCW viewers, and he won't bring in a lot of new viewers. 6) How long before he tries to bring in Lex?

Silly me.
