Seriously, do the refs have something against PSU or Paterno? 2 *HORRIBLE* non-calls go OSU's way late in that game (pass interference and the non-catch).

Seriously, Ernest Miller? Kanyon wastes away in dark matches, occasionally jobbing to Orlando Jordan on Velocity, yet they're having Miller be an active wrestler? What, is he teaching Steph karate or something? What could their reasoning possibly be on this?

Heh-heh... I've always wondered about this when the old guard says the new guys need to "Step up," as if it's their fault they're not on TV or getting more exposure. So, if I'm just up from OVW I can ask for more match time (and reduce someone else's match time in the meanwhile), and ask for a specific opponent so we can really tear up the ring and show my skills, or I can ask Vince to cut his promo short so I can do one of my own? Sure. I'll be that's the way it works. What they mean, is really get the crowd into your character, either by putting on great matches, or exhibiting great mic work. Of course, when you don't get ring or mic time, or get used as jobber fodder, it makes it tough to "step it up".

And whose fault is that? Every time he gets a run as a face, they make him a clueless, dopey, comedy face.

At one point, you can click (the ones towards the left of the screen), and Homsar goes across dressed as Slash.

You could have Jericho do the promo alone in the ring. Or invent a reason why Austin couldn't interrupt Jericho (i.e. Bischoff obtained a temporary gag order from the Board of Directors for the duration of Jericho's promo). That may be stretching the bounds of reality a bit, but enables Jericho to deliver the entire promo in front of Austin, while getting Austin's reactions first-hand. Then, later, have Terri interview a visibly shaken Austin backstage, who doesn't quite know how to react or what to say. Austin can barely find words, and just walks away (JR: "I've never seen Austin like this before.") And, really, 1 promo like that is going to kill Austin's heat? Highly unlikely. Jericho wouldn't be supporting them, he's merely planting seeds of doubt in their heads. If the face team can't function cohesively, it makes it easier for Jericho & his team to win. Jericho can mention Austin beating up an injured man (Test) and a woman for not drinking beer (Stacy), and plant seeds of doubt in their heads ("imagine what he'll do if you let him down at the PPV").

When he wasn't squashing cruisers, DeMott wasn't bad. He had a damn good match w/ Storm on 1 of the C-level shows early this year (when they still had new matches on those shows).

Be that as it may, at least Awesome had the skills and gimmick ("career killer") to be an upper midcard heel. Instead, he got cut off at the knees and buried in horrible gimmicks, before salvaging some kind of dignity in Team Canada. That's the problem with how Awesome was booked.

I'd rather he stay on SD, than be reunited w/ Lita and be buried in the midcard on Raw. At least if he's stuck in the midcard on SD, he can have good->great matches w/ most of the roster. On Raw, there's only a handful of guys with which he could have good matches.

But Tank wasn't really getting over, IIRC. Plus, he was horrible. They took him and let him go w/ something that was getting him a reaction from the crowd. Would you rather they kept pushing him when it was obvious it wasn't working? Also, IIRC, 3-Count was getting some decent heel heat w/ the boy band gimmick, so to say no one cared about them is a stretch.

Yeah, what was wrong w/ Tank hanging w/ 3-Count? Kept him from wrestling, and it was pretty entertaining.
