Lieberthal made a big mistake on the bases tonight, too.

OK, so my top 2 QB's are Jeff Garcia and Tommy Maddox. Matchups: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Kansas City Chiefs San Francisco 49ers @ St. Louis Rams I think it's pretty safe to say we won't be seeing the defenses taking over these 2 games. These games could turn into a couple of shootouts. Who should I use? I'm leaning towards Garcia, but I'm really torn. Both could have big games.

Doug Basham > Danny Basham I enjoyed Doug's couple of Velocity matches a while ago (before he came back in his current gimmick). Had 1 match against Shannon Moore, and drew good heel heat for a guy the crowd had probably never seen before. Used some nice moves, and showed some decent charisma. He seems to bump very well. I have no idea how he is on the mic, though. I would have preferred Doug to have come in as a single. On a personal note, I'd love to see a Doug/Kanyon match. I think that would be extremely fun.

Houston had Carr using the 3-step drop most of the time. I don't know why they couldn't get to Vinny more than once, though. They'll get Bledsoe at least a few times this Sunday. And for as bad as the pass defense has been, they've only given up 2 TD's total so far.

::sigh:: It *could* have been written out of the show, but the show would not have been as good, as witnessed by the 1 season without him.

Hartman was A focus, not THE focus. I know he wasn't the main character, I'm not arguing that. All I'm saying is that, even though he wasn't the main focus of the show, he still wasn't replaceable as you had originally mentioned.

I'll take more Bashams, although in addition to, not at the expense of, Haas/Benjamin.

But taking Phil Hartman the performer out is the same as taking the character out. The character of Bill McNeal was as important as the characters of Dave, Lisa, and Jimmy. I don't understand how you can say Hartman couldn't be replaced, but the character could.

Phil Hartman was the biggest star on the show, and a big part of why the show worked. After his death, the show wasn't as good, and only lasted 1 more season, so I'd say he wasn't replacable. I can't think of anyone they could have brought in that would have had the same impact on the show that Hartman did. Joe Rogan, despite being great in the role, was a supporting guy. Khandi Alexander had a supporting role. Phil Hartman was way more than just a supporting role.

Jeez, Orlando *still* hasn't beaten a "WWE guy" yet. All his wins have been against WCW buy-out guys. Looks to be an awesome show, minus the women's match. And, hey, Matt Hardy is *still* directionless. I'm glad to see they're working on getting The Cat in as an active wrestler, while guys like Matt Hardy and Kanyon have nothing to do.

It was almost as predictable as the token Smark bashing. You know, the "predictable smark bashing" might not be so prevelant if you "smarks" would get some perspective and stop always making excuses for your little internet favorites. Just a thought. Hurricane starts a fight with Rodney Mack and gets his ass served, and even though he clearly instigated it you guys look the other way because he's your geek hero. Meanwhile I see people hoping Mack will now finally be fired, not because he was at fault, but BECUZ HE SUX LOL! Pretty sad guys. This still hasn't been determined. We don't know that "Helms starts a fight" or that "he clearly instigated it." For all we know, Mack could have said "shut your fucking mouth, you little bitch," causing the argument to escalate, then took a swing at Helms when Helms bitched back at him. Bottom line, the story doesn't say who was at fault, only that Helms got upset, words were exchanged, and a fight ensued. Until more details emerge, maybe you shouldn't be so quick to bash people taking Helms's side.
