I've been a fan since my brother rented Wrestlemania 5 when it came out on VHS. I watched during the quieter mid-Nineties period and even though it dipped in popularity, I still enjoyed watching matches with Hart, Michaels, Nash and Hall. My interest first started waning in 2001, with the Taker/Kane vs Austin/HHH main event for Backlash. From there you had shit like the necrophilia and whatnot but they also had some awesome matches such as Benoit&Lesnar vs Team Angle and Benoit/Lesnar. I was absolutely thrilled to see Benoit and Guerrero close out WM20 and I actually met Benoit this year and shook his hand and got a photo taken with him. I think that moment was where I was done with WWE. It'd be nice if Benoit or Eddie won the title again but I don't really care either way. I had a mild spike in interest with Shelton Benjamin's WM XXI performance (and that Shawn/Angle match was good too) but it has absolutely flatlined at this stage, and like Rudo, I'm not even angry at Shelton's treatment post-Mania, just indifferent. In the past year, I've also become a big fan of wrestlers in NOAH, ROH and TNA. All three promotions provide me with either consistent high quality matches (ROH and NOAH) or potential (TNA) which satisfy my wrestling fix. I'll keep checking up on WWE for when they throw out the occasional Regal/Benoit match on Velocity or maybe they'll let CM Punk or Burchill bust out a good match but by and large, my interest in the fed is pretty much done.

I'd like to see the dude go to Japan and work in NOAH or something.

The Rey Mysterio "He's Coming" vignettes were pretty cool. But that was more due to having an accomplished production crew than having any clever writing.

Hows your copy of the SurSer Wildcard Match, Bravesfan? The copy I have is pretty horrible with a big line across the top of the screen (poor quality VHS rip I think) and I'd love a better quality copy of that match.

Check out this ad for LOST on Channel 4 in the U.K. It's the characters dancing in slow motion with each other to music "conducted" by Locke. http://homepage.mac.com/mprieve/.Public/lost.mpg

Just saw it in Brisbane, Australia. Huge crowd was there for the screening. A bunch of dudes with Jayne hats, some 2x2 blue handed people and a girl wearing Kaylee's pink n' white dress were amongst the audience. I really enjoyed it. Both myself and my girlfriend were fans of the show and didn't come away disappointed. I have no idea if the show will be appealing to the casual viewer though. They do a bit of work at the start to explain it all (Simon's first line is virtually "hi, im simon, im the brother") but after that it seemed to be geared for the Firefly faithful. I look forward to the discussion once more people watch it.

The OaO Arrested Development Season 3 thread
edotherocket replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Television & Film
Annhog's coming? I can't wait for this. Incidentally, what happened to the 'lost' episodes from the end of Season 2 which didn't air because of American Dad? Are they the first episodes of Season 3 or will they be released on the DVD or something? -
That video sold me a lot more on possibilities for the controller. To be honest, I'll end up getting all 3 consoles. The PS3 for the same games I play now with better graphics, the Xbox 360 for its awesome potential with its online features, and the Revolution which looks like the next step from the Sony Eyetoy in terms of a new gaming experience.

- IGN.com Reactions have been interesting on the different boards I post at. Most American and Australian gamers seem to HATE IT. European gamers seem to be mostly positive about it. It'll be interesting if we have a generation of gaming where there is a different leader in each market. Japanese gamers seem to be hugely indifferent to Xbox 360 if the recent surveys are to be believed and I can't see the Revolution being popular in the States at all.

Christopher Daniels Vs. Samoa Joe Vs. AJ Styles

Me too. I'd really appreciate it if you could send a PM for this match. -
Source: http://egm.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3143540 This close the release of the Xbox 360, its interesting that we're still not really clear on what to expect with the graphics. I assume this is an isolated incident though and that the trailers of games such as Kameo, Alan Wake and Project Gotham Racing are all showing true in-game graphics.

I can't find the song online anywhere. Where did everyone else find it?

Can we talk about the Trade a little more?

- WWE.com Are they doing the ECW 'Network' angle then? -
I think the Rock occasionally buries his opponents on the mike (the Billy Gunn King of the Ring promo: "everyone thinks I absolutely suck") and sometimes in the ring (spearing Goldberg and then kipping up for the crowd pop when he was supposed to be heel) but generally he seems to do that sort of thing with wrestlers who the smarks don't care very much for so all is forgiven. I think wrestling would be in a lot healthier condition sans Triple H although I have no idea who would be on top of the business now. Triple H seems to have a lot of buddies backstage and their friendship with him seems to result in pushes (Nash, Orton and Batista). On the other hand, I have no idea who Rock is buddies with, except maybe Foley and Austin. I don't know if he's particularly close with any of the newer guys since he's hardly around any more. And having said that, I'm not sure being friends with the Rock would get you a push necessarily. Maybe you'd have more people like Rey Mysterio, RVD and Christian becoming big stars since they get over with the crowd and there wouldn't be so much politicking to keep them down.

Sounds like a horrible film but that is a pretty funny review right there.

Birchill called up? RAW worker w/ familiar role?
edotherocket replied to Fökai's topic in The WWE Folder
Awesome news. Regal can play the Heyman to Burchill's Lesnar. They can even bring back Jeff Hardy so he can be squashed by Burchill to get him some heat. Then Brock can come back and we can have a three-way Hosses Who Can Wrestle showdown with Batista. Does anyone have those Monster Moment clips that were posted ages ago with Burchill doing a whole bunch of flippy stuff. That was terrific. -
World Air Force for Xbox 360 from Taito screenshot: Looks nice.

I assume Nash and Michaels did?

I'm looking forward to the WM 6-10 pack in particular. WM 6: Main event, Andre face turn, bazillion 5 minute matches with wrestlers I loved as a kid WM 7: Warrior/Savage and Rockers/Barbarian&Haku WM 8: Piper/Hart, Flair/Savage WM X: Bret/Owen DVD quality.
-
I'm not liking the name of the Bre Hart DVD. If its 3 discs, it's likely to cover his whole career but the focus shouldn't be on Montreal.

I use my computer mostly for media and I have some problem with XP at the moment and its causing Media Player, Winamp etc. to all crash as soon as they try to play a video file. This is the error message I keep getting (or something very similar) for each program: I looked it up online and found a couple of websites which identified the problem but I don't really understand how to resolve the issue. It's happening to multiple programs so I'm assuming its some sort of problem with my Windows XP. Example of a site which mentions the bug: http://support.softartisans.com/kbview_577.aspx Can anyone help out here? It would be much appreciated.
