Ultimate Warrior bashes the Hall of Fame
edotherocket replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
He's getting a 2 disc DVD later this year right? Man, I hope one of the discs is just a stream of his promos clipped together, back to back. That would be awesome. -
I remember that match from SurSer 94. In fact Diesel was the first out from memory. Weird...

When I was a kid, there was no cooler team that The Ultimate Warrior, Kerry Von Erich and the Legion of Doom. I always enjoyed Bad News Brown walking out on his team too.

I just saw the Muay Thai film Ong Bak with Tony Jaa. Man, what a kick ass movie! The film has about ten minutes of campy storyline building where the hero has to retrieve the head of a golden statue from an evil old wheelchair bound man who has a voicebox ala Stephen Hawking and smokes cigarettes through a hole in his throat. The rest of the 107 minutes is dedicated to Tony Jaa beating people up and doing crazy stunts. The big draw for the film is that no wires, CGI or stuntmen were used in place of Tony. ***spoiler warning*** Amongst other things, he can do the Super Mario head stomp where he leaps off the ground and jumps on 4 dudes heads in a row and then sommersaults on to the ground. He also does the splits and slides under a moving truck and has his legs set on fire and does flaming roundhouse kicks A truely awesome film. The bad acting and silly plot don't detract from the film much and the action scenes are mostly excellent if a little repetetive towards the end. Highly recommended. Anyone else seen this yet?

33% (and you can take out the yellow areas too...which I find gives you a lot more territory) As for the number of missions...there's like 3 left I think.
-
As mentioned earlier as well, I can't help but think the ladder match will not amount to much since I have zero expectation of the winner actually being successful in their titleshot.

Randy Orton is a third generation poo bagger.

Has anyone had a chance to see the Kobashi/Rikio match yet? Was it any good?

Inspired by John Locke I bought a copy of Backgammon yesterday. It came in a swanky attache with these leather dice rollers and everything. I swear the game seems to be mostly about luck but so far I am 0-3 against my girlfriend.

This month's Edge magazine gave it 7/10. "Steering is a little twitchy..." "Often races in GT4 can be won with ease or not at all...fail and you'll have to exercise supernatural restraint and prescience when shopping for new parts if you don't want to annihilate the competition on the second go" "Not all of the 700 cars can actually be raced..." "The cars, road surfaces and track furniture sport a slightly artifical plastic sheen..." I know a buddy at work who will definitely buy it though and I guess I can borrow it off him in a couple of months. But dammit they really need to start fixing up some of the bugbears of the series like the AI and the car damage.

Source: GamesIndustry.biz Hopefully this means we get Halo 3 this year and that the next Xbox will be availabe in Australia by the end of the year too. I'm guessing launch titles will probably be something like Project Gotham Racing 3, Madden 2006 and maybe a Splinter Cell port or something. Anyone else interested in getting this console in 2005? Or will you hold off until next year when PS3 and Nintendo Revolution is out too?

Ah, good old Russell Crowe. I love that guy. He makes awesome movies and acts like a complete prick.

I've also heard: - Not backwards compatible - No hard drive in this one - It's supposed to be called Xbox Next isn't it? Meh, the backwards compatability thing doesn't bother me too much. To be honest, as much as I like the idea of it, I don't revisit old games very often. My Dreamcast hasn't seen much action in the past three years and the same can be said for my Playstation1.

One match has been announced so far for the Wrestlemania Revenge tour in Australia: Triple H vs Ric Flair I wonder if this means one of them will be turning face soon?

Source: NEWS.com.au Interesting. Looks like Iraq could well end up as a hardline Islamic state if these guys have their way. Does anyone know when the results of the Iraqi election are announced?

Full view of Triple H and Orton Blading at NYR
edotherocket replied to Shooting Star's topic in The WWE Folder
I always thought Shawn bladed *before* he was catapulted into the post and not in midair in the WM XX match. -
From DarkHorizons.com I'm a believer that there WILL be an Evil Dead 4 at long last.
-
The remade Ocean's Eleven was better than the original. Any of the Peter Jackson LOTR films was better than the Ralph Bakshi one. ...thats all I got.

Will this version retain the grubby Chinese chef, primitive islanders who steal away the white woman and the explorers randomly shooting a brontosaurus that wasn't attacking them I wonder?
-
Its pretty cool in the original King Kong when he fights the T-Rex, they actually modelled their motion on a couple of wrestlers. It's not often you get to see a giant monkey apply a front facelock on a dinosaur.
-
When are we going to get a trailer for this?
-
Have it in Melbourne, Australia and you can have 70,000 people at WM again!

Interestingly enough, a lot of the newspapers in Australia are reporting headlines like "Bloody dawn to Iraq democracy". But from what I'm watching on BBC it looks like it's going down pretty good.

edotherocket replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
Cool match HTQ. So is this going to become a regular feature in the Puro folder? -
Remember all that talk about torture & rape rooms?
edotherocket replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Poor Iraqis. They keep getting sodomized.
