We Have Us An Iron Man

Saw this movie yesterday, really good stuff. The bonus scene after the credits was surprising to me, somewhat.

    The Dark Knight

I saw the trailer for this movie yesterday when I went to go see Iron Man. Can't wait to see it, looks really good based on the trailer.

    Box Office Report 5/2-5/4

    Agreed. Great movie.

Madden, NFL Head Coach, and NCAA Football 2009

I like the sound of this. Gives me an idea of what I keep messing up on, because I sometimes throw the worst interceptions imaginable. I would also like to be able to edit my lineups and such online (ala NBA 2K8)

    The 2008 NFL Draft Thread.

I like how this draft went much faster than last year and years prior to this. To me, much more enjoyable to watch. This draft finished over 3 and a half hours sooner than it did last year, from what I heard on NFL Network. Cutting down the first round to 10 minutes was a nice touch.

They've been booing them the whole draft.

Dennis Dixon being drafted by the Steelers was not something I saw coming.

Yeah he only played safety one year. Here's the thing. He was a good player. He was fast and had good ball skills. The secondary as a unit didn't play well together. They couldn't work together and therefore got burned a lot. If he gets into a system or with a team where he ends up being able to work with the other players then he'll be a great addition because of his physical ability. He's a good returner too. That really doesn't sound bad at all. I am also loving the NFL Network coverage as opposed to the ESPN coverage. Far better coverage.

I don't know honestly if many of the WRs taken would fit in the Mike Martz system all that well. Donnie Avery was taken high but could've been a good fit along with players like Harry Douglas and Dexter Jackson in the Az-Hakim role. Guys to watch for Agent... I think the following could fit well but may not be solid #1s. All of these guys should be 4th to 7th round picks. Keenan Burton - Kentucky D.J. Hall - Alabama William Franklin - Missouri Ryan Grice-Mullen - Hawaii Thanks, man. I don't know a whole lot about any of those guys mentioned, so I'll go with your word. I heard that he could play both S and CB, so it might not be all that bad. Didn't he play mostly CB at Oklahoma though?

The pick made plenty of sense to me. Larry Allen isn't even a lock to return, hell, he might even retire from what I have heard. David Baas is also battling injury. The 49ers offensive line took steps backwards last year. So to me, it's actually a decent pick. I am perfectly content with both picks as well as the Reggie Smith selection in the third. Here's the question I really have about these receivers though... Did any of the ones drafted fit Mike Martz's system?

    The Sonics' Pending Move

Honestly, I think it's beyond words how fucked up this whole situation truly is. Correct me if I am wrong here, but wasn't Clay Bennett's arena proposal somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 million? And weren't the Muckleshoot Tribe offering to finance an arena?

Yeah, they always say that about certain games, and those same games you can pick up in a retail store without problem.

2008 Stanley Cup playoffs - first round

I can't believe they got that goal. I would have figured it was bound for overtime.

NBA 2008 - the home stretch

I had some feeling that when they were down about 15 or so, that it wasn't gonna get any better after that.

2008 Stanley Cup playoffs - first round

The Sharks are gonna end up getting bounced in the first round. I guess they really are that team that was destined to become great, but never really end up getting there.

2008 Stanley Cup playoffs - first round

I'm expecting Calgary to turn it up here pretty soon, too. This team isn't gonna go away easily.

I agree. Right before the glass shattered, the crowd seemed like they were ready to explode, and then low and behold, Austin shows up.. The pop Austin got when he entered and the one Foley got when he won the match are insane, really. I'm glad they put this stuff up on YouTube, because this stuff was a lot of fun to watch, even now.

2008 Stanley Cup playoffs - first round

That's exactly what I was thinking when I made my last post on the previous page. I'm glad to see the Sharks getting some scoring in pretty quickly here. Hopefully they can get at least 1 or 2 more past Kipprusoff before the end of the period.

NBA 2008 - the home stretch

I understand where you're coming from, hearing a crowd is pretty nice, because hot crowds can make it that much better. Completely understood. I hope the Rockets can get it done here today, and also hoping the Warriors can beat Phoenix tomorrow night.
