Holy fucking shit. That kicks all kinds of ass.
-
Are you referring to Macho Man beating Sting for the WCW Title at Spring Stampede 98? Yeah, he lost to him by DQ, because Benoit hit him with a chair.
-
Now that is fucking funny.
-
I felt the same way you did about it, until I rented it. I don't like RPGs very much, but I actually ended up liking this game. The light/dark side thing in this game kicks all kinds of ass, it's fun to be able to rob people of credits, and such. I dunno... I seem to have that down rather easily. Seeing as how I have an Xbox without Halo

Because there wasn't 20 seconds left. More along the lines of 9.6 seconds or less left, after that shot was made.

I have four memory cards. Two for PlayStation (they were like $1.99 at Circuit City) Two for PlayStation 2
-
Maybe for you... However, it's like they say... "Different strokes, different folks" Plus, Costco's GH titles were very limited, and that was the best choice available.

All this Conker talk brings up this question: Am I the only person who has NEVER played this game?
-
My recent purchases: Madden NFL 2002 - PC Enter the Matrix - PS2 (it's a good buy at $17.99) I also picked up a Nintendo 64 and some games. The games were: WWF WarZone WCW/nWo Revenge WWF WrestleMania 2000 GoldenEye Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire I got WarZone and Revenge when I first got the system, then got the other three games a day later.

Yeah, I know.... They mention the Wrath/Meng match, and it's not even on the tape. First time I heard that, when I watched that PPV for the first time, I was wondering where the hell the match was on the tape. I think they butchered it because the show ran over time, the night it aired. I could be wrong.

Oh yeah, now I remember it.. the memory of that dog attack on Sting was what prompted that question. I obviously had my PPVs mixed up there. I bought Slamboree 99 the night it happened. That Flair/Piper match was just awful. It's no wonder WCW started going down the tubes around that time. PPVs like Slamboree 99 and Great American Bash 99 helped send things downward. Rick beat someone (I think it was Booker T) for the TV title, then helped Scott in his US Title match later in the night against Buff Bagwell. I remember this, too. That was one crazy missile dropkick by the Giant. Just crazy. Watching a guy 7'2 and over 500 lbs doing a missile dropkick is both crazy and awesome. IIRC, The Giant ended up hitting Scott Steiner with that dropkick. Buff ran out in the Clinton mask in the singles match, as you pointed out, he also hit the referee with the slapjack, then Scott tried to pin Rick and Buff counted with the ref's arm as he was knocked out. This happened several times, and Rick kicked out. Rick hit Buff, Buff played hurt, then Rick hit Scott with a Steiner-Bulldog off the top-rope, then another referee come out, counted the fall and Rick won. I have the chopped-up commercial version of this PPV that is missing several matches. The storyline heading in was a bit fuzzy to me.

If I'm not mistaken, Buffalo lost the "Buffalo Braves", who went on the be the Los Angeles Clippers. I may be wrong, however.

An injury put the whole thing on hold? Figures. You also left off one match, the tag match between Rick/Buff and Scott/Giant where Buff ran off, left Rick behind, and Rick ended up winning the match. This was also the match where the Giant did a missile dropkick off the top rope, or at least tried it. I think that's about all of them though. Few tag matches (ones you mentioned) Road Wild (I don't think that match even got started) Fall Brawl Two matches at Halloween Havoc World War 3 I think World War 3 was the last one, or at least if I remember that correctly. Might have to look up the history on it, though. Didn't they reunite at Great American Bash 1999 when, I think it was either Tank Abbott, or Scott Steiner who let loose a bunch of rottweilers on Sting?
-
It was you, huh? Figures.
-
Oh, ok. I dunno who the hell would want to see through any episodes with Jackie McMullan, though.
-
That I'd like to know as well.
-
My apologies, then. I must've read your question incorrectly. What the hell was up with that shit? They broke up in February of 1998 at SuperBrawl, and had all of one actual match to show for that (Halloween Havoc 1998) Why did they keep going with the no-contest thing? I also have to nominate Bash at the Beach 98 for worst, if I hadn't already.

Does anyone know anything about this show? Sometime last week, I downloaded a cruiserweight match (Rey Mysterio Jr vs Dean Malenko) So, after having done that, I would like to know more about this show, if anyone else knows about it. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

IMO, doesn't matter what period during the season they are. If they're heartbreakers, they're heartbreakers. All of them should count, unless it's preseason. Anyway, I have some more. - 49ers vs Rams (MNF Week 17 2002 season) This is the game where Jeff Garcia gets pulled after one series, and Terrell Owens sits out because of an injury. The 49ers open up a good-sized lead on the Rams, and then somehow manage to blow that lead in the 2nd half, and end up losing to the Rams by 11. - 49ers vs Packers (2001 Playoffs) The 49ers first postseason appearance since 1998. The 49ers end up blowing any chance of winning late in the game because of a freak-interception thrown by Jeff Garcia. - 49ers vs Falcons (1998 Playoffs) The 49ers lose Garrison Hearst early in the game to a severe leg injury, and end up losing the game by a close margin. - 49ers vs Jaguars (Week 1 1999 season) The 49ers simply get blown-out in Jacksonville by a score of 41-3. - 49ers vs Buccaneers (Week 1 1997 season) The 49ers lose Jerry Rice to a knee-injury and lose to the Bucs 13-6 - 49ers vs Packers (1996 Divisional Playoffs) The 49ers travel to Lambeau and get beaten badly. - 49ers vs Packers (1997 NFC Championship game) The 49ers lose to the Packers by 13 at home. This is the closest the 49ers have gotten to the Super Bowl since last winning it all in 1994. In fact, this is the 49ers last NFC Championship game appearance.

That is one of, if not my earliest football memory. And that was heartbreaking, too. Some other heartbreaking moments. For me, anyways. - 49ers vs Rams (December 9th, 2001) the 49ers go out, and simply get their asses kicked. Just heartbreaking to watch. - 49ers vs Buccanneers (2002 NFC Divisional Playoffs) This one is self-explanatory. Watching the 49ers be crushed 31-6 really tore my heart out that day. - 49ers vs Rams (Week 2, 2003 season) Cedrick Wilson blows it by trying to be the hero in the final seconds of regulation as opposed to getting down and giving the 49ers a chance to call a timeout and set themselves up to kick the GW-Field Goal. - 49ers vs Cowboys (I believe this was 1996 or 1997?) The 49ers lose a close game to Dallas at home. IIRC, the score was 20-17 - 49ers vs Packers (MNF 1995?) The 49ers take a 17-6 lead, and end up squandering the game later on. IIRC, the Packers won this in OT. - 49ers vs Eagles (Regular season 1994?) 40-8, 'nuff said. - 49ers vs Eagles (MNF 2002) the 49ers get taken to task by an Eagles team who had lost Donovan McNabb to a broken-leg the week before. - 49ers vs Vikings (Week 4 2003) The 49ers come out and play like absolute shit and get blown out 34-7 (might be wrong on this score) - 49ers vs Ravens (Week 12 2003) 44-6, nuff said. Just plain horrible on the 49ers part. They were in it for a while, but then got blown-out in the 2nd-half. - 49ers vs Cardinals (Week 8 2003) The 49ers lost to the fucking Cardinals in OT. - 49ers vs Browns (Week 3 2003) The 49ers give up 12 4th-quarter points in and end up losing to the Browns in a horribly played game. - 49ers vs Cowboys (Week 15 2001) The 49ers are beaten by a team that ended up finishing 5-11.

There is another flaw, that you may not know about. Look closer on some passing plays via instant replay, and you'll notice the ball being thrown rather awkwardly. Doesn't affect the game for me at all, it's just a flaw that looks funny.

NBA Live 2004 - The game has a glitch, where you can be called for out-of-bounds, because your player went THROUGH the backboard, this is mostly in the low-post area when you try for dunks and such. It's really annoying.
