  1. Does anyone have any suggestions of Jerry Lynns best matches in ECW. As a rapidly developing Jerry Lynn mark, I was thinking about getting some of his ECW stuff. ChUnK!

    FWA Crunch

I went Andy. Sorry it took me a while to reply I thought it was an awesome awesome show. From the first ring bell it was non stop great action. Tighe/Vansen Great opener, a little short, but Tighe was pulling double duty, so I understand that. I would have liked to have seen a full length match to do justice to the feud that these two could work together. JX/Zebra The best Zebra, JX and All England title match I have ever seen. Just great stuff. I wasnt against the masked JX gimmick as much as others seem to be, but Zebra plays the heel so so well. Ashe joining the family. I didnt really see the family as being that over. But it looks like big things are planned for them. I have no problem with that at all. Whos Nikita going to feud with now though? Juvi/Jody Juvi looked slow in places, but Jody Jody Jody Jody. He's one of the best workers I have ever seen. Simmonz/Ghosh A shame about the ring breaking, but bah gawd is Simmonz over. Also, he comes with the added bonus of butter cup Doug/Tighe I missed a bit of this match, but the beginning seemed very good. And it seemed to me if they were trying very hard to put a story over. Im looking forward to seeing this one again on tape. Alex/Ulf Vs Family Did the pitbulls no show? And where was Farrer? Im not sure if I would have put the belts on the Family, but this was a useful little match. Ulf looked pretty badly hurt afterwards though, and I missed all of what Alex did up on the stage. Jonny/Jerry Awesome match. Jerry badly needs a win in the FWA though. I was sure that Jerry was going heel, but it was Jonny instead. Im not sure where they're going now with Fleisch/Storm. Weve seen that soooo many times before, and I was sure that we would have Fleisch/Williams after Daniels drops the belt. I guess will have to just wait and see though. Awesome Awesome show, and I strongly reccommend that any one pick up the tape if they get the chance. Emax (and others who can get it) let us know what you think, when it hits XPW TV in the US. Cheers, ChUnK!
  3. Wow, that is good service. As a contrast, I have just recieved FWA: British Uprising Part 2. The show took place in October, and I paid for it about 3 weeks ago. Im not complaining, because the quality of the FWA tape is second to none, and cold be released commerically. Also, they guy releasing the tapes is new to it, and works hard to get them done. I just though I would say, as it shows just how quick that SMV service really is. ChUnK!

    Starting a new indy promotion

Although, everything has allready been said, I have a few points. I would very much agree that you have to do everything you can to make people aware of your promotion. Put osters up, contact radio stations, go to local newspapers, hand out flyers at public places etc. Similarly, I think its very important to be professional. I once went to a show where the talent came out and sat with the fans to watch the show. In my opinion, that sort of thing shouldnt happen. Treat you promotion like its on par with the WWE. If you hear any of your workers speak otherwise, then let them knoe that they had better change thier opinion, or they will be kciked out. You'll never make it big, unless you act like it. Also, I don think it has been said enough, that it is important to take it slowly. Dont run before you can walk. You only need to look at the number of failed promotions that failed after a single show, to see how true this point is. Build slowly towards bug pay offs. Hire the odd name value guy, but dont hire more than one on the same show to start off with. Finally, it may sound simple, but give the fans what they want and book to your strengths. If you look at the success of TNA and ROH, I think its partly down to the fact that they booked to their strength and gave the fans what they want. In the case of ROH, fans wanted to see WRESTLING and not sports entertainment. TNA put the belt on Killings and The X title on Low Ki, because thats what the fans wanted. They also realised that the X division was their main draw, and so you saw Killings win the title in the second match of the night, while the X divison was given the main event spot. On the other hand, the WWE pushes people at us that we dont want to see, and so nobody watches their shows. The super 6 on smackdown are the shows main strength, but we got them in pointless heatless matches (that were good) and had lesnar/taker in the main event that we didnt give a shit about. If your big money guy isnt over, then dont continue to put him in the main event, book to your srengths and give the fans what they want to see. ChUnK!

Went to an indy show on Thursday

I went to an NWA-UK show, and some guys stormed the ring there. The promoter cut some horrible Kayfabe speech about the talent teaching the kids that stormed the ring a lesson. The funny thing was that the two kids kind of got carried away, and one of them was sent flying out of the ring and crashing head first into a table. It must have hurt, but it was bloddy funny to watch. ChUnK!
  6. Well said. I wish there was more Indy stuff for me to go to live, but I alwyas go when ever I can. What have you got to loose? It will cost you pittence to get in, and the owrst thing that could happen is you spen all night laughing at the ability of the talent ChUnK!
  7. Really? How do they make the tapes so quickly? Surely they need to edit them and add commentary etc. ChUnK!

    Cage fighting on UK TV

Nice one, thanks for the heads up. Ill check my tv guide, and hopefully it is on in all regions. Thanks, ChUnK!
  9. I saw a segment on Cage Fighting coming to UK TV, on Richard and Judy (believe it or not) last Friday evening. Ive searched around a little bit and ive found no info on it what so ever. Does anyone no more about this? ChUnK!
  10. Crap, that was quick wasnt it? yeah smv usually has a vidz up for order the day after the event Is it like a pre order though. How long does it take for the shows to actually arrive if you order them the day after the show. Thanks for the info Emax, ill definetly try and get some stuff when im over there. $15 would be about £10 right? Thats not a bad price for a master DVD. ChUnK!

    XPW results

I dont think hiring him was necessarily stupid. Putting the title on him was, but hiring him wasnt that bad. They werent to know he would definetly no show, where they. ChUnK!

    XPW results

How much truth is in that? Does anyone know? The last thing we need is another set back to the FWA: Crunch card. ChUnK!

    CZW SHOW PICS

I wanted to check them out, but I was waiting until I got to Uni (decent net connection) before I even bothered. The prospect of waiting 2 minutes for each pic to load, kind of put me off ChUnK!
  14. Crap, that was quick wasnt it? Thanks for the Info guys. Im going to Houston, So illl look out for those shops. What sort of price should I pay for them? I know as a whole, stuff is cheaper on your side of the pond, but whats a good price you have seen them for. Im also hoping to pick up some UFC and MMA tapes/DVD. ChUnK!

Went to an indy show on Thursday

What the hell? That must have been a work, surely. I mean, what wrestler would agree to wrestle someone from the crowd? Thats just wierd. ChUnK!
  16. I was thinking of picking up some XPW DVDs when I come over to Texas on Holiday. Ive never seen anything by them before, but the deal with FWA has got me interested. EMAX, do you have any suggestions for shows to get. DO you know where I can get them cheaply in Texas? ChUnK!

    Indy Themes

You may not count TNA as an Indy, but Ron Killings has kick arse entrance music. Some of the stuff the FWA uses for show themes is also very good. The Uprising one had like a bomb siren going of with a deep F W A, F W A chant over it. As soon as you put the tape in and press play, it sounds awesome. ChUnK!

    First 2 Experiments w/ PhotoSmart

I think it looks far too cluttered. I know how annoying it can be to cut pics out though. There must be some secret way of doing it ChUnK!

    FWA: Cruch 2003

It is a shame, I was really looking forward to seeing Psicosis/Fleisch, that would have been incredible. It seems the FWA has bad luck on these things, first Chris Daniels is unable to attend to defend his title, for months on end, and now this. Theres not much that can be done about it though. Psicosis/Juvi/Jody would be awesome, but I dont think it will happen at Crunch. It wouldnt be worthwhile for the FWA to bring someone over at the last minute, that they havent been able to advertise. Perhaps we will see it in the future, but if Jody takes on Doug in a title feud (if Chris drops the belt) then it might not happen for a while to come. ChUnK!

    FWA: Cruch 2003

SUNDAY 16TH MARCH FWA CRUNCH XPW European Title Tournament Final: Wonderkid Jonny Storm vs Former WWE Star Jerry Lynn FWA Tag Team Title Hardcore Match Alex Shane & Ulf Herman © vs The Pitbulls XPW European Title Number 1 Contenders Match Former WCW Star Psicosis vs Jody Fleisch FWA All-England Title Match The Zebra Kid © vs J-X Former FWA Champions Collide Flash Barker vs Doug Williams James Tighe vs Hade Vansen New Breed Open Challenge The Duke of Danger (with Simmons and Buttercup) vs Raj Ghosh Broxbourne Civic Hall High Street, Hoddesdon, Herts EN11 8BE [MAP] Tickets: £35 (gold ringside), £25, £15, £10 Box Office: 01992 441946 Doors: 5:00pm. Bell: 6:00pm I wasnt really expecting much from this show for some reason, but now the finished card is done, it looks awesome. Lynn/Storm and Psicosis/Fleisch should be incredible, and the rest of the card is looking damn good to. Williams Vs Barker should be very good, and I have no idea who the New Breed will face. I shouldnt have thought they would be american, because there are allready two guys coming over, and they would publicise american talent, but I really cant think of who else it could be. Any thoughts? ChUnK!
  21. 1) She doesn't perform porn on camera anymore. Since she married Rob Black, she became a director. But you should be able to find some of her old stuff (only a few pics though.) 2) If you go to the XPW site (XPWrestling.com), you can order "Lizzy Borden XXXposed" video for $15 (I think) where she does some solo stuff. Or, you can go to ExtremeAssociates.com and order the comp of her, "Extremely Yours: Lizzy Borden", which is supposed to be good too... 3) "The beauty of XPW is that you don't really have to fantasize about their women, you can just watch them act it out!" Smartest thing I ever heard. XPW may blow chunks. But Lizzy is hot, and playing them in EWR is fun. On the subject of Lizzie and EWR, I played the game for a little mess around. I whacked up the extreme level (or what ever its called - i forget) and I saw a few match types, one of which was buck naked. (It might have been bare naked - Im not 100% sure). Anyway, does anyone in the game actually agree to work those matches. I didnt try, but it was hard enough to get some of them to job to others, let alone agree with stuff like that.
  22. Gauntlet Champion? Whats the deal with that? DO they have to defen the title in a gauntlet every time? Doesnt that get a little old? ChUnK!

    News about the TPI 2003....

Does he actually wrestle or is it sort of a gimmick/tradition?

    Storm heading to TNA

www.frontierwrestling.com Its about time. As much of a Jonny Storm fan as I am, Jody Fleisch would kick all sorts of arse as the X division champion. There is no better flier in pro wrestling IMO. Mark my words. For me, Doug Williams is also one of the top ten workers in the world at the moment, its about time he got some TV time. ChUnK!
