There was one Saturday Night's Main Event on FOX. It was the one with Shawn Michaels beating Davey Boy Smith for the IC Title.

From todays edition of the Moncton Times and Transcript: Headline: Wrestling School in Proposal Stage The Father and son team of Emile and Jeffery Dupre have been approached by the World Wrestling Entertainment to open a "Farm system type" wrestling school in Moncton. "The School is still in the proposal stage," said the elder Dupre, a wrestling icon during his days with the sport. Meanwhile, Jeffery. 23 plans to attend a WWE training school in Louisville, KY. later this fall. Jeffery's 20 year old brother Rene Joined the WWE in 2002 and is doing great. He since has wrestled in a number of world centers in North America, Europe and the Orient ----------------------------------------- I think it would be great for us here on the east coast to finally get a regular company out here. I don't know about the Jeffery's abilities, Rene was the kid that has wrestled since high school. May be interesting to see, Vince likes the French brother tag teams

Another story (not online yet) in in today's business part of the same paper stating that Dupree's new school will be open iin November and they are working on getting the WWE to sign on as a farm system. A bit of a different tone then yesterday's story. It also says that this is the second wrestling school in Moncton as a "Kardinal Sinners" school is getting ready to open up as well. Check it out here

I know Scott Damore is from Ontario and Bobby Rude wrestled out here on the east coast for some time. The rest of them I have no idea

He did a sit-down interview with JR where he used the line "I am not a student of the game; I am the game" I think that's where it came from

What makes this not worthy of it's own thread? Anyway, Eddie really needs to take some time off. If this keeps happening, it's just a matter of time before he goes in to the crowd and something really bad happens. You never know what someone will be carrying these days. Is this post good enough or am I on the list to be banned next?

Thank you, I had never seen that before as we didn't get livewire in canada. Now, was that a "shoot" or planned?

I don't think it was going to be up against a PPV, I think NBC were going to use WCW to fill time left open by the NBA labour shutdown. Once the NBA came back, there was no need for WCW on NBC.

I don't think that the mods are required to give an explanation over anything. However, after reading both this and the "WWE folder" thread, I think the question needs to be asked: If a poster had the same attitude that Nik seems to have, How long would they last around here?

It sounds like you have a firewall of some sort on the PC. Look around your add/remove programs, seee if there's anthing like Zonealarm, Norton internet security, anything like that. It may just be as simple as adding AOL 9.0 to the programs allowed to access the net.

From the torch: Chavo Guerrero Sr., known as Chavo Classic on WWE TV, was released today. Management grew frustrated with his rejecting of recent storyline ideas to inject more humor into the broadcasts. Chavo Sr. apparently felt management was pushing things too far, trying to humiliate him, such as suggesting he parade around on TV in women's underwear. He missed both Smackdown house shows this weekend, apparently unexcused absenses, which was the final straw. It's not clear what this means to the status of the Cruiserweight Title, since Chavo Sr. held that title until being released.

Just to let you know, that link in now dead, as it seems they've removed all the "Call For Help" pages after the G4/Tech Tv merger Yet another reason to dislike the merger

So a guy that comes in with no gimmick and just wants to wrestle? You mean like: Matt Morgan Orlando Jordan Garrison Cade Mark Jindrack (Before Teddy Long) and every other guy they've brought up from OVW in the past two years that every one has bitched about I like the fact that their coming out with some gimmicks. I can't wait to see Mordecai, just for the fact that I like the way it has been layed out

Why does everyone assume that smackdown would have to agree to give anything up? When it comes to Undisputed titles in boxing, different federations can take ahold of their individual titles at any time if other's fall out of political favor with them. That's what happened here. Smackdown got one over on RAW by signing the undisputed champ to an exclusive deal. RAW didn't agree with that, and decided not to allow their world championship (the already established World Heavyweight Championship) to be defended on the competition's show. To stop this, they pulled their half of the Undisputed title, which includes the lineage. So World Heavyweight Title = WCW title (back to 1991 and the NWA split) Edit: Spelling

Mordecai... offender of religion..

I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I thought it was "The Right Hand of the Father", Which means maybe he's not coming alone -

Has anyone who has left BAD BOY done better after leaving then they did with Diddy?

Why Monday for the "flagship" show?

When The syndicated Superstars ended...Didn't it not show any matches but was a best of with Vince and Mr. Perfect in studio? Then it started on USA the next week, which meant that Canada was SOL, since we didn't get USA -
I saw it tonight and really enjoyed it. I can see how some people may not enjoy it, but if you go into it with the right mindset, It's worth the two hours you've spent with it

You have horrible taste in music. Especially Canadian music. What about the Barenaked Ladies? Thank you for your non-topic related judgement, I will now go outside and think about how terrible it is that someone does not like the same music that I do. jackass

Depends on the show I go to. I went to see Great Big Sea a while ago and didn't wear any while standing at front row stage right (and spent the next couple of days deaf). Then a few weeks ago went to see Nickleback/Three Days Grace/The trews and I don't think I'd make it through the show with out them

I sent you a PM...check it out

That was around Royal rumble '96, when all the AAA guys were around. Mini Vader and Mini Mankind along with Mascreda Segrada Jr (who was max mini later on) and La Parkita were on the Free-for-all

Kind of hard to argue with this one though...
