Showing it close up only shows that its an add on and it doesnt really belong there though... I wonder if the marks West of the Hudson get it though... Dames -

...I didn't mind Jillian's promo. "Don't look here...look at my 'eyes'" YES Jillian. Dames -
I paid $126 a month, after the server change, it went down to $118... So, I've put about 3G's into this place and I didn't even really realize it. As for whether or not I'm a shameless self promoter, I could care less...think what you want. Considering I haven't written anything in the last year and a half and I still paid for the site every month, yeah...I got a little pissed when it seemed like people wanted to phase me out, writing wise and I let them know about it. I think anyone would have done the same thing. Did I make some decisions that didn't please some folks? Of course. You can't please everyone all the time. Those of you who have run your own boards know that by now. Dames

Yeah, I know... I guess it's up to Mike if those banned under my regime are allowed to come back, but I'll paypal the guy a dollar a month if he keep Leena out forever Oh yeah, I can hold a grudge. Dames

And once again... I AM NOT leaving to never return.... I just won't be in charge anymore. Who knows...maybe one day, I'll even get banned Dames

Actually, yes, that is what I've been doing. First off, I've got no beef with you. It seems like lately, whenever my ownership or leadership of the board has been in question, you've been one to criticize me. I'm just curious as to why you feel this way, since you've never been one of the mods and weren't a contributor to the main page for very long. Many of those guys have brought up legitimate beefs with me and the way that I've handled things and I respect that, but I don't get what you're deal is. Especially since you've always been one of my favorite posters and I never thought I ever did wrong by you. Dames <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, you're supposed to go away now. Don't make me bust out the hurtful racial slurs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No...YOU can go away now. I'll ban you every day from now until the 15th, just because I can, Leena. Dames

I would have replied for myself, but I didn't see the post until well after RRR had already replied and I didn't want to just reiterate what he said, since he pretty much said what I was going to. Dames

I was spoiled in the fact that I watched LOST with HDTV rips off the internet and live on HD channels. I absolutely hate fullscreen now. The show really loses a lot of its flair when its "formatted to fit your television screen". Dames

Rudo, I was going to reply to Cam but you pretty much answered everything for me the way I was going to answer. I've recently gotten into MMA this year. I caught UFC 51: Super Saturday, which was my first 3 hour UFC PPV and I was hooked. Ultimate Fighter came on and that helped some more and since then, I've seen the last few 3 hour PPV's (48-53) and the first 7 UFC's and gotten to learn a bit about the history and the technique of MMA. Considering I've been watching wrestling for 21 years now, the fact that I like MMA almost as much as I like wrestling shows just how much they've impacted me in less than a year. Everyone knows that I'm not exactly average height or anything and the fact that Royce Gracie was able to tap out larger fighters due to skill and technique really impressed me, especially since back then, everything was pretty much openweight. I've heard about Pride for years, but now that they've got a deal with FSN, I'll definitely try and catch up on that as well. Part of me actually wanted to do a couple of Diatribes on the past few UFC's, but I wouldn't want to embarrass myself with my lack of MMA knowledge. Dames

Since when is UFC 'sports entertainment' though? And, WWE does do all of those things...in fact, that's usually the three things smarks complain about. Edit- well..maybe not the highlights, people usually recognize those as pretty good. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WWE doesn't try to put over every single competitor like UFC tries to do with their video packages. Aside from some Rogan-isms, I haven't seen them try to bury anyone outright. They give you fighters strenghts, weaknesses and backgrounds...and that's more than we get from WWE these days. Dames

I like that. What do you call the Mir/Silvia ARMBAR OF DEATH~! finish? Dames
-
Damn...Leben finally got a win and just beat the shit out of Thacker. I marked out for the finish of Salaverry/Fryklund when I saw it the first time and I still mark out for the FIGURE FOUR OF DEATH~! Don't wanna spoil the Salaverry/Riggs finish, but it's also memorable. Dames

If Cote loses to Leben, I don't think we'll see him back in the Octagon for a while. Koscheck finally shows that he can finish! He's going to need to be more well rounded though. Can't wait to see him take on Spratt. That body shot needs a cool still shot. He sure fucked up Shonie Carter too. Nate's going to be a great fighter. Dames

Finally, someone who feels the same way I did about that promo. Thanks Matt...Young. Dames

Rest assured, everyone, this isn't a permanent goodbye or anything like that. I'll still pop in once in a while... I just won't be calling the shots anymore, which I'm going to have to get used to... Who knows, maybe one day in the future, I'll start writing again. If that ever does happen, I'll definitely let you guys know. If the forums ever do go elsewhere, I will be around... Dames

Hey "Black Widow", I hope you have fun swinging your tennis racket around, I'm still in charge for two more weeks. Dames

Oh my god. It's starting. I just marked out HARD for his entrance. Dames

Alright...lets stop fucking around. As Miss Indy Queen said, Giovanni's Pizza on Fordham and University Ave is my second favorite pizza on earth. If you don't care for that, there's Brothers pizza on Jerome and Kingsbridge, which is my number 3. Silvio's Pizza in my old neigherbood, 194th St & Marion Ave is the greatest of all time, IMO...but its not in the best of neighborhoods. The mom and pop shops really are the place to go. And fuck anything they market as Pizza in Manhattan. Dames

I agree completely. I dont think Christian hit any signature manuevers. Dames

Growing up, I always had to have the latest game. Whether it was Mario, Zelda, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, whatever, I had to have it. Now, back then, I was known as the video game king on my block because I was the kind of person that tried to master games. (Things have certainly changed today...but anyway) But while I was playing these games, I also had homework to do, chores, etc and eventually, it stopped becoming a daily occurrence thanks to work and things like that. Once I started to have to "take sides" between consoles (when systems got high priced and I had to actually pay for them *myself*) , I started missing out on a TON of games that I heard were great, but I've never gotten to play. Clear example. I've never played Metroid Prime. Never played Starfox 64. Silent Hill and all of its sequels. The Conker games. Unreal Tournament Halflife Driver Hitman etc. What games have you HEARD were good, but never got the chance to play yourself? Dames

Did they really need a new Gladiator DVD? Or Jaws for that matter. Wasn't that released a few years back? Dames

The Donzalez...I'm feelin it. Didn't think The Don would be in the One Five. Much props given. Dames, err... Donzalez
