Nah, I had my mid-life crisis earlier this year. I'll be out of my fucking mind in a few years. Life's getting back to what most people would consider normal. Things are slowing down for me, but things get pretty hard when you're 100% on your own. No family in CT, didn't have a car for a while, facing my first winter driving now, paying bills blows & when I do go home, I have to run around and try and see everyone. Not to mention I work from 10 - 6:30 in a very stressful & competitive position, so when I get home at night, I just relax and play Halo 2 for a while. It's hard to get time for myself and when I do, I usually have to spend it cleaning up the apt. Luckily, I took care of a lot of things yesterday since I was off from work and this morning, so I'm just chillin for tonight & tomorrow. The first work day in January, Monday, is supposedly the worst day of the year for insurance, comparable to Black Friday or Xmas Eve in terms of shopping, so I need the rest. Dames

Too bad it's the 10% that's on top. Dames

Well, think of this way... Flair won the NWA Title with a move off the top, believe it or not and would get very close near falls back in the day. Obviously today, it rarely works, but has anyone ever pinned Flair off a top rope miss? If so, I can't recall it. He doesn't have much to lose, except maybe turning the tide of the match...but he always tries it as a desperation move anyway these days anyway. Dames

You have no idea. I'm a mess. Dames

That would also be about 10x more expensive to produce. Dames For the uninformed like myself...how so? First off, HBO is a premium channel, so you'd have limited capability, as opposed to network TV & basic cable, and unless it's a break out hit like the Sopranos, people aren't going to upgrade their cable service 10 bucks a month just for a wrestling show on TV so it'll be harder to build your audience. Second and most importantly...have you ever seen HBO do something that LOOKS low-budget these days? Everything is beautiful, shot in widescreen, hi-def, etc. The production values that they would impose on Heyman would be very costly and Heyman himself stated that he couldn't afford to upgrade them to go to the USA Network for ECW, so I sincerely doubt he'd be able to afford HBO. Practicality is fine, I get that. My point is...with the technology we have today, this should NOT be a piece of shit. It should be the REAL Ms. Pac Man with a decent joystick. I'd sacrifice the other 4 games for it. Joysticks aren't that expensive today and other than the license, price shouldn't be an issue. Dames

Hey GreatWhiteNope, that avatar you have, is that a shot of Jerry O'Connell from Scream 2, about to sing in the lunchroom to Sydney? If so, I can't believe that I fucking guessed that. Dames

How about playing the original game with a MAME emulator for free? I've got Ms. Pac Man already. The whole point of this TV plug & play is that you can play it...on your TV. So, if it's going to cost 15-20 bucks for a shitty version of what you have just so you can play it on your TV screen, I'd say you can do a hell of a lot better. Dames

I wish I could, but it was an Xmas gift. Considering this was the only thing I got for Xmas that I actually liked (before I played it), I'd feel bad telling the person that got it for me that it sucks and I want to return it. Dames

S&P's psychological effect would be its greatest damage on someone like Heyman. Heyman would have to second-guess himself, limit himself, worry about what THEY think. He wouldn't at first, and then for every 10 storylines or matches he'd pitch, 7 would get thrown out or altered. That would fuck him up. It would frustrate him. He'd spend most of his time playing that game, which he wouldn't want to deal with. His confrontational style, his aforementioned abrasive personality, would only serve to screw him over even more. Think of Joss Whedon with Fox, and how he thought of them. This would be 100x's worse. Like I said, I agree with you, I don't think it would work, but my point is that it would still be better than what we have today in terms of in ring wrestling and entertainment. Dames

I'm broke as a mofo this month and while people have accused me of not caring about the site for a while now, I've never missed a server payment and I'm unwilling to give this site up. So how about that? Does it sound like I don't care about TSM? Dames

You're probably right on that one, but not everything that Heyman did was something that S&P would get on him for. He'd be limited, that's for sure, but I'm pretty sure he'd still put on a good WRESTLING program, just letting the guys in the ring do what they do... Dames

Regardless of all of the negative feelings towards Bischoff in recent years, both by smark & by insider alike, I still have to respect the man for trying to buy WCW outright before it was sold to WWE. He knew he wouldn't have the resources he did in the past, he knew it was a sinking ship at that point, but he was still willing to try to pool up something to get it working...not too many people would keep trying if they were originally playing with other people's money. Shooting Star, congratulations. I hope you have a GREAT time at the show. I'm Puerto Rican myself, but I was born and raised in the Bronx, in a Puerto Rican neighborhood. I have a lot of family in Puerto Rico and whenever they would come up or I would go down there, regardless if it's one of my three uncles, my two aunts, my million cousins or whoever....they were ECSTATIC about wrestling. They can't get ENOUGH of it. When I was in Puerto Rico in 94 for 3 weeks, I realized just how much these people love it. They've got at least 2 big promotions down there, with TV, plus access to WWE TV. It's dubbed in Spanish for them and for some reason, my countrymen absolutely LOVE babyfaces. Some of them know that wrestling isn't legitimate, but they don't care...it's something that they can cheer for and be passionate about. I GUARANTEE you all that if you ask most of the people on the island when they started liking Randy Orton, they'll tell you either the moment he pinned Benoit clean (they traditionally RESPECT the shit out of clean finishes) or the next night when he was kicked out of Evolution, because they felt sorry for him. Next week is really going to piss me off when Triple H wins a triple threat rematch for the title before either man is officially declared champion. Dames

In terms of the WWE: Due to the increased cable exposure, 12 month PPV era & two shows a week, Austin quickly dominated Hogan as WWE's all time box office draw. His merchandise outsold Hogans and Austin drew higher ratings for a much more consistent basis. Think about it. Drawing 4 PPV's a year that at drew about 70,000 as compared to 12 PPV's a year at 35,000 an arena plus great house show attendance. Do the math. Austin did more than Hogan in a shorter period of time. Dames

Next week is going to be fucking ridiculous when Triple H puts himself over the entire roster in one fell swoop. Dames

As an offshoot of the Smoking Lounge Thread, discuss your experiences with marijuana here. This is NOT a discussion on the moral issues of smoking marijuana or its legalization, but a place for those who have smoked it to discuss their experiences with it, so if you're going to judge....don't do it in this thread. Start one in Hardcore Discussion for that if you like. My experiences with the green stuff shall be posted later. Dames

Well, at least you got SK's attention. He put it up on his blog. Be proud! Dames

By the way, Suprnova.org is great.... But TVTorrents.net is better for TV shows. Make sure to get BitTornado with your BitTorrent, it makes the downloads much faster. Dames
