  1. On an R-Rating for Carnage, agreed. As for Gwen Stacy in sequels as Parkers girlfriend, the Spidey movies would get shitted on even MORE because that should have happened FIRST (and people would want to know why that wasn't done in the first movie if they were going to bring the character in anyway) and Green Goblin is dead, so they'd have to REALLY rewrite what happens. The one at the end, where the Broadway style dude with the long hair has the black girl held down and raped. Doesn't ring a fucking bell. Not at ALL. Dames

What was the " This is your life"

Downhome, we are taking about "This is your life" not the Goldberg signing. That was uncalled for hurt. That wasn't a correct sentence. Dames

    Scarface: Uncut on TNN

I refuse to rent VHS or watch it on TV, because it'll be edited as fuck. The DVD that's out now is a flipper, from what I hear...and I'm not big on renting anyway. I know I'm going to buy it, so I'll just wait til it the SE comes out. Dames

"Welcome to Johnny Cab, where can we take you today?" "DRIVE...DRIVE!" "What destination?" *See bad guys coming* "SHIT...SHIT!!!" "That is an invalid address. Please-" "ARGHH!!" *Rips Johnny Cab out of the front seat and takes over* GOLD. Dames

What was the " This is your life"

What bothers me the most about the segment is that it doesn't really go anywhere. Yes, it was where the "Poontang Pie" catchphrase started for The Rock and it was entertaining to many, but ultimately, what did it accomplish? If the goal was to make Mick Foley seem like a kiss ass to The Rock to set up their eventual breakup, it wasn't necessary. Triple H's involvement is an afterthought at best and even I don't remember why he ran in. It didn't advance any storylines at all. Dames

I, too, didn't care for Final Fantasy, but it did look great. Square did the Final Flight of the Osiris on the Animatrix DVD and if they made a movie with those CGI effects having something to do with the Matrix, it would make BUCKETS of money. I must have fallen asleep in Showgirls because I don't remember the rape scene you're talking about at all. Dames
  13. You're talking about Jon Peters. The same guy who produced Batman. Sadly, the Superman movie will never be made because this idiot is in charge. Brett Ratner quit because of him and almost got into a fist fight with him over all of his ridiculous requests. If I EVER see Brainiac fighting Polar Bear guards at the Fortress of Solitude, I WILL walk out. How in the WORLD could Warner Brothers give this franchise to a guy who didn't know what the fuck Krypton was! Dames
  14. I don't know...that's the one storyline that most fans want to see in a live action film. They even alluded to Eddie Brock in the first film. I'm not saying that it's inevitable, but I think there's a high demand for it and the studio will try to milk it. Personally, I think CGI has advanced to the point that they can make Venom and the morphing into the suit look pretty damn good. As long as they can cast the part of Eddie Brock properly and rewrite the story a bit, I don't see a problem with it. Just to clarify, they'll have to rewrite the story unless they 1. Want Peter Parker going to the moon. 2. Have Parker wearing the black suit for an entire movie, which probably wouldn't work. Dames
  15. I have to disagree with Damaramu about Peter Jackson, however. After watching the oodles of extras on the LOTR DVD, it's very clear that has the utmost respect for J.R.R. Tolkien, even going as far as naming the film "J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings" and not "Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings". Considering that the source is a fantasy book, it IS up to him on how to translate the material onto film. Not everything can be done to perfection and LOTR wasn't even a possibility as a live action film until the emergence of CGI, so I say kudos to Peter Jackson. If he says "I think this translates better to an audience", that's not the same as saying "I think this is 100% better than the book." Dames

    Why does everyone hate Yuna?

I think it's a given that people don't like you, Game. The sigs have nothing to do with it from what I hear. Dames
  17. Ok, so just to clarify here, the fact that they changed certain things doesn't bother you. The fact that they boast about what they did being better than the source material does. Am I right or is there more to it? Dames
  18. It's not about who's vision is BETTER, it's about what translate to a broad audience in a way that doesn't stretch the boundaries of human belief. If you analyze most of the comics and cartoons out there, there are TONS of things that if made to a movie, people would just see and go "oh PUH-LEEZE" because it just seems so unrealistic. Dames

    Lawler's big mistake

I saw the title of this thread and immediately thought back to the statutory rape charges. There was a moment on Raw a couple of months back where Lawler was really hyper about Stacy, who is only 22 or 23 right now, I believe. J.R. said something along the lines with: "I'm surprised King, she's a little too old for you." Dames

    What Do You Like?

What makes me happy...hmm. I'm ecstatic that this site has taken off like it has because I don't think anyone would have expected it to go this far, this quickly. I'm happy that I'm in EWR (which will probably increase my "status" and this site's traffic like a mofo) I like nice things. Mostly electronics, like my mp3 jukebox, digital camera, new comp, etc. I enjoy good TV, like The Sopranos, Oz, Buffy, 24, The Shield. I enjoy 112's music immensely and the fact that I know the words to most of Sean Paul's hit songs. Oh, I've got to stop, I'll be here all day. Dames

I could see her having personal gripes with doing some of the things Vince wanted her to do, but keep in mind that she also went out there with painted hands on her bare breasts AND did Playboy TWICE. I seriously doubt that someone who was a hardcore Christian would do something like that. Dames

    Scarface: Uncut on TNN

well, there's the cheesy 80s music. derek & the dominoes and the rolling stones have aged a little better than that. Music in the 80's WAS cheesy for the most part. The fact that the Scarface soundtrack is Flashback Radio in GTA 3 almost makes it cool again. Dames

Although I disagree with you 95% of the time when it comes to wrestling...or just life in general, I have to agree with you on this. I don't think that the PW Torch or Wade Keller are pretty credible as evidence by a few times where Jim Cornette and others have called him out on making news up. I'm not saying that everything he says is bullshit, I won't be that ignorant, but I take everything from the Torch with a grain of salt. Dames

  25. Sadly, I have a friend who thinks that EVERYTHING in the comics should be translated to film or it's pure crap. He hates Spiderman for the Gwen Stacy and web shooters. He's guaranteed to hate the anticipated Spiderman movie featuring Venom and the black Spidey suit since he finds it on the moon...and you just KNOW that a director will (and rightfully so) use creative license on that. His attitude annoys me so much. I don't dare see The Hulk with him. Dames
