Well, Johnson has asked me to step in and give my take on it. I tend to agree mostly with Tom. See, here's the difference, in my humblest opinion. Ragin Redneck made racist remarks concerning all black people, not just Booker T, which is why I PERSONALLY banned him after I read the entire thread. The joke thread was meant to be offensive, hence the warning. Now, I can understand the fact that people may get offended by "offensive jokes" (which is the point now isn't it), but just because someone tells a racist joke, it doesn't mean that they are racist. I seriously doubt and hope that most people here want to kill babies, commit beastiality or other things that they joke about or have joked about in this thread. BUT, if the joke is told in a serious, malicious manner to put down someone, then that can be considered racism. It's a very fine line. Oh...and as for 'No Holds Barred', what some people truly fail to realize is that it's nothing more than a clever name for a flaming folder. NOT that there are really no holds barred here. For the record....there's a reason why I've been putting off on making "official" rules as to what belongs and what doesn't belong in the No Holds Barred folder (as well as others). The reason why is because i'm a first amendment advocate for the most part, but also because everything differs and each complaint has to be seen on a case by case basis. We had some problems with Ragin Redneck before, therefore, I had no problem making my decision. Dames
