I don't know if that Meltzer quote came from the Observer or an interview. I just ripped it off from The Underground Smarks where Loss4Words had quoted it.
Now we all know Meltzer is one of the few writers you can pretty much trust. This is quite a good piece of evidence in favor of the HHHaters.
Meltzer talks to a lot of wrestlers cause he's so well known and respected in the business. So I don't doubt he's talked to friends of HHH.
I figured we could have one thread dedicated to getting opinions on different bands.
Here's how we'll do it. List the bands you want opinions on with numbers beside them so we can keep track of which band we're talking about.
I'll get us started
1. Queens of the Stone Age
2. Audio Slave
3. OK Go
4. Hoobastank
5. Authority Zero
I think this thread would be a good way for people who are looking for something new to find out the general consensus about each band.
Have you actually listened to the music or are you just assuming that?
I like Cochise and I'm anxious to hear the rest even if I don't agree philosophically with the band member's views. I didn't with Rage either, but still enjoyed a lot of their music.
If it was a toupee wouldn't it have come off when he was wrestling? Plus in Beyond the Mat after he was in the Rumble match they showed him getting stitches in his scalp and they had not removed it if it were a toupee.
Banky I've been wondering? How come your lwo logo says "new world order" on it? Shouldn't it say Latino World Order on the bottom? You got a faulty logo!!
Ninja Gaiden isn't on there??? And neither is Metal Gear?? But freakin Final Fantasy Mystic Quest made it???
What about Metal Storm? Was that on there?
But to sell it like it's dead carries the possibilities of stinking up the rest of the match since in theory the wouldn't be able to do most of their moves. And a match without moves sucks.
I don't think they should sell it like its dead at all. Sell it like it's hurt yes, but even then you can muster up some strength to do something. Storyline wise if it's supposed to be broken that is the only time to sell it like it's dead.
I'll laugh when you wake up in the morning and see her without makeup and wonder how this skank got in your bed.
Not to mention she'll probably lie and tell you she's good in bed only to claim she's horrible when the time comes.
Jessica Alba is hot, but she's a damn twig...put some meat on them bones.
I'll get flamed for this, but I just don't find Eliza Dushku that hot. She's pretty, but nothing sticks out about her that makes her better than other hot girls to me.
We seem to be torn on this board as to what exactly equals good or bad selling.
So I thought I'd start a thread where we could discuss what we consider good or bad selling.
We can give examples or hypothetical situations.
For example...should a wrestler sell arm work as if his arm was useless? Or should he sell it as if it were sore? Should he use it at all or show signs of trouble using it? When I have a job to do but have a sore arm I know the job still needs to be done right so I work through the pain. So why is it in wrestling that's considered bad selling?
