  1. I'd like a banner to replace the one I have down there. I'd like the middle to be pictures of Ultimo (I have some, just ask if you're gonna do it), the sides to be green spades and under the pictures of Ultimo i want it to say "Ultimo Dragon" in green text. The background can be any fancy smance pattern. Thanks to anyone who wants to do this for me.
  2. I guess I could post the old totals if you want, I mean, they are in the orginal gambling thread. Here are the standings before WrestleMania XIX: 1-Kotzenjunge 2200 2-DeputyHawk 1700 3-tpww7 1650 X 4-teke184 1600 5-Kingpk 1550 6-Canadian Chris 1500 7-NaturalBornThriller4:20 1500 8-Canadian Chick 1450 9-I’m That Damn Zzzzz 1400 10-Original Orange Goblin 1350 11-creativename 1300 12-Sandman9000 1300 13-Space_Cowboy 1200 14-Ultimo_Dragon 1100 15-Hollywood Spike Jenkins 1100 16-AM The Kid 1000 17-MrZsasz 1000 18-Marvinisalunatic 1000 19-Secret Agent 1000 20-EricDraven 950 21-Archoan 900 22-The Tino Standard 900 23-Slickster 800 24-the r-train 800 25-Bischoff Is God!!! 800 26-African American 800 27-Anglesault 700 28-The New Me 600 29-Bravesfan 500 30-ViciousFish 500 31-Showstoppa Icon 500 32-doink 500 33-chave 500 34-Zack Malibu 500 35-Downhome 400
  3. It matters because you weren't in a situation where you couldn't bet at least $50 on every match. You could have bet on the other matches.
  4. You bet $500 on Brock, you had enough money to spare $50 for the matches you didn't bet on.
  5. Maybe the WWE has been donating money to charity to raise their "karma" to get good news. [/EWR]
  6. Only $50. You got a lot of company around the top now.
  7. Welcome to the Gambling Results Thread for WrestleMania XIX! I sincirely hope Brock Lesnar is ok after botching the SSP tonight. In other news, I fucked up royally, I would've just broke even had it not been for Brock's victory. Anyways... Here are the updated standings: 1-Kotzenjunge 2300 2-NaturalBornThriller4:20 2250 3-Canadian Chick 2050 4-Canadian Chris 2050 5-Kingpk 2050 6-Sandman9000 2000 7-tpww7 1800 8-Original Orange Goblin 1800 9-Space_Cowboy 1800 10-DeputyHawk 1700 11-Ultimo_Dragon 1600 12-The Tino Standard 1600 13-teke184 1600 14-I’m That Damn Zzzzz 1550 15-creativename 1400 16-Bischoff Is God!!! 1300 17-Marvinisalunatic 1200 18-the r-train 1200 19-African American 1100 20-Hollywood Spike Jenkins 1100 21-Anglesault 1000 22-AM The Kid 1000 23-MrZsasz 1000 24-Secret Agent 1000 25-EricDraven 950 26-Archoan 900 27-Bravesfan 800 23-Slickster 800 24-chave 800 25-Showstoppa Icon 600 31-ViciousFish 600 32-doink 500 33-Zack Malibu 500 34-Downhome 400 I have decided to remove from the Gambling Game The New Me, as he has not bet the past two months. Hollywood Spike Jenkins, Secret Agent, and MrZsasz you did not bet on every match as stated in the rules, therefore I cannot accept your bets as it wouldn't be fair to the rest of the gamblers. As for everyone else that did not even attempt to bet, I will remove you from the game if you do not place bets for the next PPV, Backlash. With that said, most did not do as well as last month, as nearly everyone was banking on Mysterio and Jericho to win, and many for Jazz as well. No one that played lost money though, everyone made at least some profit.
  8. Anytime now someone can pin and lock this baby. Oh, and by the way, LatinoHeat, you waited a bit too long to get your bets in and I can't let you in this round. Sorry.
  9. The deadline would be at 7, since that is when HeAT starts. Yeah somebody should do that, it would help a lot.
  10. They should remake it with Norm MacDonald as Burt Reynolds as J.J. McClure.
  11. THE LATEST VERSION March 27, 2003 Hello to everyone as the wonderful season known as spring begins to take form. The weather is warming up, spring fever is in the air, and WrestleMania is here. It's a really exciting (and busy) time for me as I prepare for my first-ever WrestleMania singles match and make every stop on the "Exist 2 Inspire" book tour. It's a very demanding time but I'm managing to enjoy it. I would like to thank everyone who has checked out "Exist 2 Inspire." Thanks for taking the time to read the story of Matt and Jeff Hardy. The initial response to the book has been overwhelmingly positive, which has been very personally satisfying. I think the book has been well-received by our adult audience, as they seem to have a newfound respect for the Hardy Boyz. The book is a very honest and candid look at both of our lives, and does a good job at showing our substance and character, as well as our drive and resilience. I think it opened a lot of people's eyes to the fact that we're a lot more than two teenybopper kids. A lot of the past autobiographies skated around issues, and made some stories seem sugarcoated. We didn't want that. Jeff and I tried to cover every rumor and answer every question that diehard fans wanted to know about. I want people to be able to relate to our life experiences and learn from them. I also wanted to give sports entertainment fans a very personal and detailed look at our journey and experiences and not insult their intelligence. I just found out today that for the week of April 6th, "Exist 2 Inspire" debuts at number seven on the New York Times' bestseller list. Thanks again for supporting me (and/or Jeff) and making the dream of "Exist 2 Inspire" a reality. Speaking of dreams, something every wrestler does is dream of wrestling on the showcase of the immortals, WrestleMania. At WrestleMania XIX, I will fulfill my dream of wrestling a singles match against Rey Mysterio. I've earned my spot on 'Mania several times as a member of a tag team, but this year it feels great to know that I've earned my spot based on my own accomplishments. I'm thoroughly excited to be facing Rey, as he is one of the most amazing talents in the history of our business. Version One is amped for this match-up, and I think it's gonna be awesome. Speaking of awesome, how awesome were the verbal battles between The Hurricane and The Rock a couple weeks ago? As many of you know, The Hurricane -- Shane Helms -- is one of my closest friends, and I was ecstatic to see him work with the Rock. Rocky, who verbally went toe-to-toe with the superhero, never fails to deliver, nor did Shane. Their confrontations had me in stitches, and led to a great match that even including the Hurri-chokeslam. Congrats to Hurricane for picking up a win over the Great One--that's how we North Carolina boys do it. I would like to wish another one of my closest friends well, that being Adam Copeland, better known as Edge. Edge just recently had major neck surgery and will be out of action for a minimum of a year. Get well soon, my friend; I miss you hugely on a personal and professional level. Adam had the same surgery that my girlfriend Lita, Chris Benoit, Stone Cold, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rhyno, and Bob Holly have had in the past. Adam and I have done a lot in the WWE together; we've been in countless great matches, even business-shaping matches. Contests such as TLC matches and Tag-Team Ladder Matches have helped set the high standard of excellence for performances in WWE. Do these great accomplishments come with a price? Obviously so. The last five to 10 years in sports entertainment has seen a drastic increase in the percentage of wrestlers performing in a more high-impact, career-shortening style. The last two to three years have seen a higher percentage of serious injuries occurring to wrestlers as well. Do these two facts correlate with one another? In my opinion, yes. The style and pace that today's workers employ will eventually catch up to us all - and that doesn't necessarily mean 20 years from now. Regardless of what your opinion is of our business-our bodies DO NOT get better from taking bumps, our bodies ARE NOT indestructible. In reality, we are slowly destroying our vertebrae, our discs, our joints-to make a living for ourselves because we love to entertain you, the wrestling fan. One thing I know better than anyone is that you can't stop reality from being real. I know that because of my career choice and my passion, it's only a matter of time before I lay on the same table where Adam, Amy, and all of my injured comrades have. I accept that fully because I love what I'm doing, and you only live once. I'm not looking for anyone's sympathy, but I am looking for respect. One of the greatest compliments I get on a regular basis is this-"I respect everything you do to entertain me, thank you for your sacrifices." It's a small thing, but an important thing. Remember that the next time you run into your favorite wrestler. On the topic of sacrifices, I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to all of our troops at war in Iraq, and say thank you. The men and women overseas are making the ultimate sacrifice by risking life and limb in order to protect our freedom. May all of our troops return home to their families as soon as possible, God willing. Enjoy WrestleMania this Sunday, enjoy "Exist 2 Inspire," and if you get the chance, come out to a book signing as the MFers and Imag-I-Nation join forces. Always remember, live life to the fullest every day, every day could be that day, the day that changes everything. Don't take anything for granted. Be well, and until then… Matt Hardy V1 and only
  12. Yeah they did Yambo. I'm not a fan of Kilborn, and man Yambo is really stupid. It was funny to see Vince do it though, because he could not answer any questions for some reason. Its like he wasn't even trying.
  13. Oh you mean the University of Rivers Avenue? Yeah I go there too.
  14. It just depends on what the people want. If they would like a more realistic style game, we can try these new ideas. If they want to keep it simple, then simple it is. I like these "special" bets as well, although I don't think they will have a place at every PPV. Perhaps a spreadsheet is in order. I've only been running this for a month or two, maybe DeputyHawk did it differently when he ran it. I did it manually last month, when you could only bet $50 or $100 on matches. If we go with your direction on this, we'd have to make some sort of spreadsheet probably.
  15. 1. I do like the idea of specific odds for different matches, the problem is though, how to decide those odds. I don't personally find myself qualified enough to do that. 2. These are interesting, and I may add them as I see fit or if their is enough demand for them, such as picking the final four in the rumble. 3. I would like to allow more people in but frankly, I'd rather not do that much work, especially if the rules are more complex, which would take alot more time. Thank you for your suggestions, they were good.
  16. Anyone else catch that they called a side headlock a camel clutch? Now THAT would've made for an interesting visual.
  17. I don't think Kilborn follows wrestling like he says given that he asked if Superfly Snuka was gonna be there.
  18. Even though the WCW World title was severly degraded during the fall of WCW, it still has a good lineage before that time. I hate to beat a dead horse, but the RAW World title goes HHH-HBK-HHH, and therefore just doesn't seem as important.
  19. I'm sorry C-Bacon, but I have my 5 newbies. They are ViciousFish, Showstoppa Icon, doink, chave, and Zack Malibu. Please no more newbies add your bets, you can try again next month.
  20. Yes, you can be in until you see that 5 people who aren't on that list in my first post have added valid bets. Just read the rules and follow them.
  21. Zack Malibu, as a newbie you have only $500 to bet. Change your bets.
  22. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I asked Marvin and he let me know that RVD/Kane vs. Storm/Morely has been put on HEAT.
  23. Yes, you can. Just put up your picks and bets as indicated in the rules.
  24. Welcome to the Gambling Thread for WrestleMania XIX! Hopefully with new rules implemented we can shake things up a bit. I've decided to eliminate the $100 survivor award, it just didn't make any sense to me to keep it. Anyways.... Here are the current standings: 1-Kotzenjunge 2200 2-DeputyHawk 1700 3-tpww7 1650 4-teke184 1600 5-Kingpk 1550 6-Canadian Chris 1500 7-NaturalBornThriller4:20 1500 8-Canadian Chick 1450 9-I’m That Damn Zzzzz 1400 10-Original Orange Goblin 1350 11-creativename 1300 12-Sandman9000 1300 13-Space_Cowboy 1200 14-Ultimo_Dragon 1100 15-Hollywood Spike Jenkins 1100 16-AM The Kid 1000 17-MrZsasz 1000 18-Marvinisalunatic 1000 19-Secret Agent 1000 20-EricDraven 950 21-Archoan 900 22-The Tino Standard 900 23-Slickster 800 24-the r-train 800 25-Bischoff Is God!!! 800 26-African American 800 27-Anglesault 700 28-The New Me 600 29-Bravesfan 500 30-Downhome 400 The rules are as follows: 1--You can now make bets up to $500 on any one match. However, these bets must be by 50's. (50, 100, 150, ect.) All bets are double or nothing. (ie: Poster bets $50 on match, wins gets 50 they bet plus another 50, loses they lose their bet) 2--You have to bet at least $400 on each show to avoid sandbagging. Those with less than $400 in the bank must bet all the money they have. 3--You must bet on every match (unless you don't have enough money). This will help with people just betting on the matches whose outcome is obvious, and not the ones that aren't so obvious. 4--To place your bets, simply cut & paste from the card below and put who you're betting on and the amount you’re gambling under the match. 5--No-contests, Double DQs, double count-outs, time-limit draws etc. result in a no win/no lose situation and negate the bet. 6--Anyone who drops down to $0 in the bank is not allowed back in – they must live with the stigma of being a stupid wrestling fan until the day they die. 7--Betting will be closed 30-60 minutes before the PPV, but you may edit your bets in the thread up until that time. Anyone caught betting after that time will be disqualified. 8--5 newbies are allowed in this month. Please try and check to make sure that there is an available space before applying, otherwise you will have to wait till next month. 25. On the Family Feud right now there is Sid Vicious, Kevin Sullivan, Tony Schivone, Kevin Nash, and another guy whose name escapes me. On the GLOW side the only name I caught was Hollywood. I don't know shit about GLOW so thats that. All in all, it seems to be another hillarious wrestling Feud show.
