SARCASM AWAY wins again. Man, the left really does have no sense of humor...

I'll do my best. Vince Russo is a clean shaven babyface director of authority who's storyline goal was to get the title off of Jeff Jarrett, mainly by grooming Chris Harris (one half of America's Most Wanted) for the title. Meanwhile Raven had been bitching that he deserves a title shot more, and turns heel and costs Harris his title shot. So a convoluted series of matches is set up in which to name one challenger in a steel cage for the title. Harris defeats Raven in the finals to get the cage match with Jarret. But the day of the show, Raven brutally attacks Harris and sends him to the hospital. Russo had to choose a replacement with Raven, Ron "The Truth" Killings (3 Live Krew had started becoming vocal about Russo trying to hold Killings down) and AJ Styles being the main choices. They teased that Russo and Styles still had heat stemming from when Russo managed AJ and might have cost him the title, but in the end AJ is the most noble or something so he gets the shot, and wins the belt from Jarrett in the cage. For the next few weeks, Jarrett is basically off the show and laying low for his rematch while AJ is a fighting champion and defends his title every week against Killings then Raven then Harris. But like they all have tons of interference from James Storm (who had interefered for Harris), Kash and Dallas (who don't like AMW), Sabu (who until Raven basically left him to die against Abyss had been Raven's sidekick) and BJ James and Konan who had interfered for Truth. So the deadly draw match was setup whereby those I mentioned were banned while AJ defended the belt against Harris, Raven and Truth in a unique 4 way, but Jeff Jarrett had been all but forgotten, clocked AJ with his guitar and Killings ultimately got the pin and the title with his spinkick. So, last week we had the "king of the mountain" match where Killings defends against Jarrett, AJ, Harris and Raven since in an interview Jarrett said he wanted his rematch and he could "take them all on". In a unique match that was like a reverse ladder match with a penalty box after you got pinned, Jarrett ultimately won back the title. And thats the title situation. The X division has kind of taken a backseat to the world title but they've been doing once a month "X Cup" one night tournaments involving Team AAA Mexico (Hector Garza, Mr. Aguilla, Abysmo Negro and Heavy Metal) winning the first few including ones against Team TNA (Jerry Lynn, Chris Daniels, Elix Skipper and Chris Sabin) and the heel Team Canada (Petey Williams, Bobby Rude, Johnny Devine and Eric Young) managed by the mean Canadian bastard Scott D'more. Anyway they just recently had the big World X Cup (with an unimportant Team Japan) and finally Team NWA won, after Chris Sabin won an Ultimate X match over Garza and Williams. Meanwhile Team NWA and Team Canada still hate each other mostly because Scott D'more doesn't think Jerry Lynn is a good leader. Oh, and Team AAA is now helping Team NWA because they're technicos and all! As for the X title, Frankie "The Future" Kazarian is the champion and he's a cocky heel who thinks he's really cool. He won the belt after Sabin injured himself and had to vacate it and Kazarian beat Red in the match to determine a new champ. Amazing Red and Sonjay Dutt had a best of 3 series to determine a #1 contender. Red won, and this week Kazarian beat an overly enthusiastic and emotional Red to retain the title. As for the tag titles, there was an angle back when where AJ Styles and Abyss were forced to team and they won the tag titles and then kicked each other's asses in awesome matches for weeks before vacating the belts. So a tournament was held for new champions, won by Kid Kash and his "cousin" Dallas (big green guy resembling Nash). They briefly lost the belts to the team of Appllo (previously the masked El Leon)and Dlo Brown by DQ (Dallas used a pipe), but then won them back the next week, also by DQ when Apollo used the pipe. (remember in TNA titles change hands on DQ). Recently James Storm since Harris is busy chasing the world title has brought back Dusty Rhodes to chase Kash and Dallas and the 4 had a hot non title bunkhouse match that Storm/Rhodes won, and this week lost their tag title match. Otherwise, Abyss has taken a somewhat scaled back role. He's still a monster (last seen feuding with Sabu) and he's controlled by Goldylox who's gimmick is that she's crazy (and really annoying). See, Erik Watts is still around and he says she took all of his money so, Abyss is kind of feuding with Watts too since Goldy controls him. (don't worry too much about this one it doesn't make any sense). Also THE ALPHA MALE~! Monty Brown has made his return and although still green he's been really awesome giving these intense animal metaphor like interviews and basically acts all psychotic. They might be trying to make him into a black heel Goldberg. Oh and his new move is the pounce. What? Pounce! What? POUNCE. PERIOD. So awesome, it's just a tackle from the side but he delivers it well. Meanwhile, Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger have broken up when it was revealed that Swinger signed Jeff Jarrett's loyalty pledge (this angle is long forgotten though), and now Diamond has changed his name to "Irish" Pat Kenney because he's proud of his heritage or something. Meanwhile Swinger, Glenn Gilberti and Trinity are the NYC (New York Connection) and they like to make fun of Irish Pat...for being Irish. Pat's friends are Sonny Siaki and Desire (who has returned from a year long break after a back injury). I think that should basically cover it, and should get you up to date on the relevant storylines.

I'll admit the finish was pretty disappointing, but everyone knew Jarrett was getting the title back for Impact! anyway, so I don't see why everyone went into such a shock. Otherwise it was an excellent main event, I'd agree **** and I love the gimmick. Besides the ending (I would have had Truth retain and I think it would have meant much more to have Jarrett be the only man not to become eligble which gives him a grudge to keep chasing the belt for, but that's neither here not there), but besides that I thought it was a very smartly booked match and would love to see them use it again. Opener and Red/Kazarian were both good matches and the tag team title at least had good atmosphere. Cheer up everybody, really. It's Jarrett's company, he's not the best choice for champ and he has an inflated self image of himself, but the company is at a pivotal point right now. The others will have more chances in the future, just look past Double J and support the rest of the guys who have worked hard to bring up the product, and WATCH IMPACT! THIS FRIDAY!!!! For those of you who didn't order, don't be negated by the Jarrett hate, it was a good show and the main event was excellent, even if the ending wasn't the smartest choice (although we all saw it coming anyway).

He should be labled as an enemy combantent, stripped of his citizenship and charged with treason. How anyone could argue that is ludicrous.

The worst crimes deserve the worst punishment. Unfortunately though, lawyers keep clients on death row for years and years before an execution and makes the whole thing pointless at times. If murderers and rapists and such were given hard time, back breaking labor for the rest of their lives, I wouldn't care for the death penalty. But if you commit a heinous crime that ends life, you do not deserve to be able to make something meaningful out of your life, form social relationships, play sports, workout, watch cable television, read books, find companions on the internet, etc. You don't deserve to live. Call it blood thirsty, I call it justice. I'm not talking about white collar crime or petty crimes or drug possesion. I'm talking about the worst of the worst, those that committed horrible acts that ended lives and ruined others, who shouldn't deserve to live on with the aforementioned immenities paid for by our tax dollars no less. Not that they have anything to worry about anyway, as a good lawyer can keep you on death row for the rest of your life anyway...

Actually the first match they had was suprisingly hot, so I wouldn't be suprised to get a good match out of the rematch...

Awesome DVD, especially the Japan matches, the Pillman Memorial match and Owen Tribute match. I am a little disappointed that the Austin match from May 01 is not on there. I've been waiting forever to see that match again and I thought for sure they're put it on a Benoit DVD. O well, the rest looks awesome.

Seriously he finished a distant THIRD in a primary that hyped him cleaning up, yet as time approached people actually stopped and reflected "wait, would I want THIS guy as President?" His rabid scream speech just took away any fleeting hope he had left of recovering.

You guys won't be laughing when Mike snaps and shoots all his boardmates.

Yes. DC/Baltimore area...

Hey buddy, http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=55596 Nothing personal, just saying.

Beautiful, I might be visiting it soon. I was watching some of the ceremony on TV and the shots of Clinton, Bush Sr. and Bush joking around and being all chummy with each other was pretty cool and shows how some things transcend partisanship.

There is no indication that Russo is leaving wrestling. It sounds like he can accomodate school around his wrestling schedule. And Watts is already back feuding with Abyss in a terrible feud over Goldylox...

Should be a great show. TNA main events have been on for weeks now, plus new stipulations are always fun. (And I don't think Jarrett's getting the belt this week-that's for IMPACT!'s debut ) Plus 2 X matches and a rematch of the suprisingly hot Dusty/Storm vs. Kash/Dallas match. You know going into IMPACT! they'll want a big show, so I'd say this one's worth gettting.

Wait, wait, wait....Ripper's BLACK!?
