Here it is for those curious: TNA E-Mail Exclusive GOLDYLOCKS REVEALED! After each week's Pay-Per-View telecast of TNA Wrestling, the ring and set are disassembled and the entire arena is swept and cleaned. Sometimes, wrestlers accidentally leave personal items behind. Last week, a member of the cleaning crew found this crumpled piece of paper on the floor of the south locker room of the Asylum and passed it along to a member of TNA's staff. It appears to be a page from the diary of Erik Watts' confidant and companion, Goldylocks. Goldy either lost or attempted to discard this private note to herself - but we found it! NWATNA.com is not able to confirm the authenticity of this document beyond a shadow of a doubt, however we have made the decision to display this page to our e-mail subscribers, as we believe it is indeed the real thing. http://www.nwatna.com/email/goldy_diary.jpg (click the icon to enlarge)

I think because of some agreement with In Demand, they need to wait a few weeks before shows are added, Currently shows as of November are avaliable for ordering. I haven't used it (have seen/taped just about every show) but I've read in the Observer that they've had a lot of repeat customers which should indicate that people who try it are satisfied with it.

Michael Savage calls for impeachment of Bush
Styles replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
No, just a traitor... That would be according to Anne Coulture... -
Oh My God, I too live in Maryland but close to DC and I couldn't imagine being given that supposed "choice". It's a shame how much DC gets shafted in politics. If they are indeed the first primary they should be the ones getting all the national attention like Iowa and New Hamshire.

I don't think No Prayer was that bad, a lot of good straight rock songs on there, but it would be one of the last albums I'd reccomend for anyone wanting to get into the band. I actually dislike Fear Of The Dark a whole lot more since besides the title track and Afraid To Shoot Strangers the rest is filler and pop.

Federal Court Issues Injunction To Prevent Canada
Styles replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Expect that window to be broken...or at least blurred -
Unholy is VERY metal by the way. I think I need to get Revenge. I'm not the biggest KISS fan but from what I heard I love their no-makeup period for pure heaviness and song quality...
-
Have you heard any other KISS songs besides Rock N Roll All Night?
-
Tazz's theme was in house produced, but the riff was a direct knockoff of the KISS song "War Machine". Jimmy Hart ripped off countless songs when producing WCW music too...
-
None of those things besides Don West's shirts are around any more Oh, and I'll spare you a likely headache...the Ryan Shamrock money thing was dropped and never brought up again...much like the NWA execs getting tied up. A lot of stuff was thrown out there in the beginning because people were on per week contracts. Now a days people are under guarenteed yearly deals so they can do a lot more long term building. No mention of the AJ/Lynn feud? Easily my favorite part of the early shows...

I don't have the DVDs (yet), but the reason the ECW DVDs skipped entrances was because they would have to pay a licensing fee to the artists that recorded the entrance themes (they used real songs), exceptions included songs off their own ECW Extreme Music CD like Motorhead's cover of Enter Sandman, or in house produced music like Tazz's theme. Anyway, all of of TNA's music is produced in house so they would have to pay no such fees to release the DVDs with the songs.
-
I'll say Iron Maiden. Brave New World was a huge comeback and they sound tighter than ever with their new dynamic 3 guitar sound (and Bruce's voice sounds better than ever).
-
I got Follow The Leader back when I was young and stupid and liked Got The Life. I never have and don't want to hear any of the other ones, so I'll vote for FTL
-
Oh yeah, I know, I was just thinking about things from the first few shows that have no relevance anymore today...

Not ID Demand, ON DEMAND. If you have a high speed connection for $6.95 per show you can purchase any of the past TNA shows to watch on your computer. Check it out here: http://www.nwatna.com/vod/vod.html

Well, now I feel like taking inventory of my cds too. I'm your basic metal/rock fan, obvious favorites Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Alice In Chains and Aerosmith. Nothing really strays from the format, I guess I'm not a really broad music guy beyond my own genre. The first 2 shows! So much has changed so much since then. I assure you Cheex was never seen again...nor were The Johnsons....or Ed Ferrara...Anyway if you want to see some newer episodes I'd reccomend trying the new On Demand feature from www.nwatna.com for 6.95 a show...

Buildup is irrelevant. It's the most memorable MOMENT. It's at least top 5, I still have never heard a reaction quite like that, especially so incredibily opposite as face/heel...

Hmmm, I ordered the UFC with Lidell vs. Couture and really liked it, but I didn't order the one with Couture vs. Ortiz because I didn't recognize anything on the undercard (although I will seek it out on DVD now to see the match!), and didn't order the last one because there was nothing worth it. But I'll probably get this one but besides Couture vs. Belfort and Simms vs. Mir I don't know anyone else (still new to MMA), so any insight on the other fights/fighters would be appreciated. Anything to pump me up more for the undercard would be good!

Probably not, but I just noticed something interesting. Elix Skipper is facing Shane Douglas, Skipper is also trying to reform XXX with Lo Ki and Daniels. Daniels and Lo Ki are wrestling Douglas' protege Michael Shane....hmmm....

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH JULIO DINERO Julio Dinero and CM Punk are currently huge thorns in the side of their former mentor Raven, but it wasn’t that long ago when Julio was just starting out in the wrestling business. Trying to find a niche for himself, Dinero thought he found it in ECW – but that opportunity ended when the company closed down. Now a part of TNA, Dinero is finally enjoying the chance to be a part of the action and storylines. Recently, NWATNA.com’s own Tim Welch got a chance to sit down with Julio about his career, family and Raven. TW: Julio – thanks for joining us. What made you decide to become a wrestler, and how did you get started in the business? JD: When I was about five or six, my friends wanted to be cowboys or firemen, but I always wanted to be a wrestler from the first day I saw it on television. I did some amateur wrestling in high school, and once I realized that was my sport of choice I went and joined a wrestling school and learned the trade. TW: How did you fare as a high school wrestler? JD: I knew I wasn’t going to be a world champion amateur wrestler, but I did want that foundation for when I entered the professional ranks. I wasn’t a superstar amateur wrestler and I didn’t go to state finals or wrestle in college, but I learned a lot. TW: Tell us how you broke into the professional wrestling level. JD: I always worked on the independent circuit and had a lot of opportunities because I “marketed” myself very well and did a lot of networking. But the first big time opportunity I got came from ECW when I joined them in 2000. I was part of a “heel” faction and I enjoyed it. TW: What did your family think about you getting into wrestling as a profession? JD: My family was supportive, but I had to pay my own way through wrestling school. My parents paid my way through college, but they weren’t about to pay for wrestling school. They were supportive but at the same time they weren’t going to bend over backwards for this crazy dream I had. But they always knew there was something about wrestling I couldn’t resist. After they watched my first Pay-Per-View, they told me it was very cool. I think to this day they still don’t understand why I chased this dream, but they do know I enjoy it. But the fact there are so many injuries involved I think still bothers them. TW: So your parents aren’t really wrestling fans? JD: There aren’t big fans of it. They watch it if I’m on, but they don’t watch it otherwise. They don’t realize being on TNA is a huge accomplishment in itself in this business. I’m sure they don’t appreciate it as much as another wrestler who’s family is in the business. As a mother, my mom is always afraid I will get my ass kicked and get hurt in the ring, so they always have that fear of it. My dad seems to enjoy it more from the sports aspect of it. TW: So ECW ended in 2000, correct? JD: Actually it was in early 2001. My last show with them was around that time. TW: You started with TNA in April 2003, correct? JD: Right. TW: So what did you do from the time ECW went down until the start of TNA? JD: Everything I could. I stayed busy working the independent scene and worked some dark matches for the WWE when I could. Whenever shows were available for me to work on, I did so. I wrestled in Alaska, I wrestled in Trinidad…anywhere I could wrestle. I took as many bookings as I could get and hoped for a break one way or another. TW: What kind of feedback did you get when you worked with WWE? JD: Good, everyone thought I was great, but they would always tell me “we don’t have anything for you right now”. TW: How would you describe the change in your character from ECW to TNA? As opposed to the group you were a part of in ECW, you’re doing much more in TNA storyline-wise. JD: Well, my first match in TNA was against Raven, and he suggested I work with him in TNA as part of a storyline. But he wanted to change my look, which I had no problem with. That’s where the metamorphosis of Julio came from. I really kind of shifted characters from ECW to TNA. TW: So as far as wrestling and in your personal life, Raven has kind of taken you under his wing and taught you a lot? JD: Yes, very much so. To say I haven’t learned anything from Raven would be ridiculous. If you watch his work, he’s one of the best in the business as far as I’m concerned, so you can do no wrong by learning from him. I learned a lot by wrestling him and I’ve also learned a lot simply by working with him in TNA. TW: When you’re watching yourself wrestle on TNA, what do you think about? JD: Basically, how to improve everything I’m doing in the ring. I try to watch how I can connect with the fans and entertain them more. There’s always room for improvement, and watching yourself is always a good step to doing so. TW: Would you say you’re your own worst critic? JD: Yes, and that’s the way it has to be. You have to dissect everything you see. I don’t think anyone in the wrestling business would say they’re perfect in the ring, and I feel the same. As long as I’m always looking to improve I can only get better. TW: How have you enjoyed working with CM Punk? JD: CM Punk and Julio are The Gathering, whether or not we’re with Raven. I like teaming with CM and I think we make a great tag team. We both have similar styles and we seem to gel together well in the ring. But we certainly have way more growth potential as far as storylines. TW: Any last words for Julio fans? JD: Thanks for the continued support out there on the internet, and I hope everyone keeps watching TNA!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH RON” THE TRUTH” KILLINGS As part of 3Live Kru along with Konnan and BG James, Ron “The Truth” Killings is now one-half of the NWA World Tag Team Champions as well as a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Originally looking for a career in the music industry, Killings ultimately became a wrestler and learned to mix his two loves. Recently NWATNA.com’s own Tim Welch sat down with The Truth to get his thoughts on TNA, 3Live Kru and his time with the WWE. TW: As the world witnessed on January 7, you and 3Live Kru debuted your new single “Beware.” Were you pleased with the final cut? RK: Man, I feel like a big ball of fire ready to blow up. The single is hot, the tempo is a lot slower because it’s all business. We just went into the studio and did the damn thing! TW: The last song was really upbeat, but it feels like “Beware” is more of a song you can bounce your head to. RK: You can bounce to it, barbeque to it, ride in your car to it, watch TNA to it – it’s all good. TW; Of course, as of this writing 3Live Kru are the NWA World Tag Team Champions, but let’s go back in time a little bit to when you became the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. The first black NWA World Champion as I remember correctly? RK: That was without a doubt the best moment of my career. Being in the history books meant a lot to me. People still remember it and I still get praise from the fans for it. Thank God for it and thank TNA for it. I’m just glad TNA had enough confidence in me to put the gold on me and let me run with it for a while. TW; Let’s talk about how you got into the business. Where did you train? RK: I first started when Jack Crockett took me into PWF which was run by George South and the Italian Stallion. I got recognized by Manny Fernandez and he took me under his wing and we traveled for about three years. From there, it just got in my head that I had to train as hard as hell everyday. TW: What did you do before you got into wrestling? What was little Ronnie Killings like before he ever wanted to be a wrestler? RK: I was always into music. The music business, entertaining, rapping, dancing, etc. As a matter of fact, I was trying to get Jack Crockett to invest in my music so I could go record and put my own CD out. But he said I was so athletic and gifted, why don’t you combine the music and the wrestling? I was like “Man, I don’t know.” But he told me to trust him and I did and it worked. So I was pretty much locked into the music business and the wrestling business came along on top of it. TW: And you’ve made quite a pairing of the two RK: Thanks, I think I have too. TW: So let’s talk about the time you spent with WWE. You were wrestling with BG James, who is your partner now. Tell us about your experience there. RK: It was a great experience, especially for anyone who has ever been a fan of this business. I was new to the game and the national exposure, so BG James took me under his wing up there. But I learned and listened and paid a lot of dues. It introduced me to the fans on a national level and I enjoyed that. TW: What happened when you left? RK: What happened was they said they couldn’t think of anything for me to do once BG James was released from their company. I think I stayed there for another six months after his release, then I left. TW: They couldn’t think of anything for you to do? Are you kidding me? RK: No, that’s what they told me. I don’t know whether there was a big ass ball of kryptonite in the locker room or what, but they had nothing for the Suntan Superman. I was disappointed in the WWE and the creative staff. I was at the point there where I would have done anything for them. I was a team player and never got the chance to prove it. TW: But that of course opened the door for Ron Killings to enter TNA, and you’ve really evolved yourself as a wrestler. Explain how your character changed when you came into TNA. RK: I sat down and had a talk with Jerry Jarrett, and we had a long discussion about my birth name, Ron Killings. I accomplished a lot in WWE, but here in TNA I’ve experience more good things in my life. I wouldn’t be in the history books if it wasn’t for TNA. This company is hot and ready to take off on a major level. Personally, TNA has brought a lot out of me that WWE didn’t. When I came into TNA, they let me be myself and let me be who I am, and I truly enjoy that. TW: When you were the NWA World Champion, we saw a different side to your in-ring character – more of a harsh and angry wrestler. The real Ron Killings is a pretty happy guy, so what did you draw on to get across that message in the ring as the champion? RK: I drew on the anger of being released from the WWE for no reason. I drew anger from losing a lot of things personally in life. And I drew anger from the not being able to express myself the way I wanted to all those years. And when I got the chance to let it out, I became that character in the ring. I became that anger. TW: Ron Killings, thanks for joining us! RK: Thanks for having me on nwatna.com!

Congratulations to A.J. Styles on being named Mr. TNA 2003 last Wednesday. You, the readers of nwatna.com, felt that Styles was our MVP last year. The one wrestler that made the most contributions to Total Non Stop Action. While we're handing out plaudits, props to new X Division Champion Chris Sabin, who regained the title in the Ultimate X2 match. The bout lived up to it's hype and recognition also should go to Michael Shane, Low-Ki and Christopher Daniels for their performance in that match. This Wednesday the focus is on tag teams. When Jeff Jarrett and Abyss team to meet A.J. Styles and Erik Watts, the stipulations will definitely have an impact on the landscape of TNA in 2004. Should Jarrett and Abyss win, Watts is out as the NWA's Director Of Authority. That would allow Jarrett and TNA Management Consultant Don Callis to have free reign. But, if Styles and Watts prevail, then A.J. gets a shot at Jarrett's NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Also Wednesday, America's Most Wanted faces The TNA Redshirts in a Rawhide Whipping Match. Raven and Sandman will oppose The Gathering (with Father James Mitchell) in a Singapore Cane Match. We'll determine a number one contender for new X Division Champion Sabin as Daniels, Low-Ki and former titleholder Shane square off in a three-way bout. Shane Douglas faces Elix Skipper. Simon Diamond against David Young with Glen Gilberti as special referee. We'll hear from AAA's Antonio Pena, who promises a special announcement. And maybe we'll finally find out what Jeff Jarrett's major announcement is all about. See you this Wednesday on Pay Per View! For months I've received hundreds of letters from TNA fans who are not able to receive our weekly PPV broadcasts. Reasons range from location (international fans) to satellite providers (Dish Network viewers). Well TNA ON DEMAND is for you. You can now watch NWA TNA PPVs on your personal computer. Also, fans who ARE able to watch our PPVs can now re-live their favorite moments and shows. Fans who are new to the TNA product can watch previous shows. For more details, check out TNA ON DEMAND on this website. We invite your questions and comments to [email protected]. Remember that due to the heavy volume, Mike is not able to answer every question or respond personally. Please include your hometown and state (and country if outside the U.S.). Let's go to the electronic mailbag -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: ANTHONY NAISBY I was recently watching my WCW videos which I recorded years ago. It was cool when you stood up to Jeff Jarrett on Nitro since he hit you with the guitar the week before. What were the matches on the final Monday Nitro? ANSWER: March 26, 2001, in Panama City, Florida: Booker T. pinned Scott Steiner in a U.S. vs. World Title Match. Rey Misterio Jr. & Kidman over 3 Count and Jung Dragons to win a Cruiserweight tag title shot. Shane Helms kept the Cruiserweight Title over Chavo Guerrero Jr.Chuck Palumbo & Sean O'Haire kept the tag titles over Mike Awesome & Lance Storm. Shawn Stasiak pinned Bam Bam Bigelow. Mark Jindrak beat Dave Cash. Konnan & Hugh Morrus over Disqo & Mike Sanders. Misterio & KIdman won Cruiserweight Tag Titles from Elix Skipper & Kid Romeo. Sting defeated Ric Flair. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: GEORGE CARROLL (BRAINTREE, MASSACHUSETTS) I've been a fan of yours since the "When Worlds Collide" PPV. I was recently going through my video tape collection and came across an AWA taping from the Showboat in Las Vegas. I came across a match that pitted Mr. Saito and Riki Choshu vs. Whodini and a young Louie Spicoli. When the match was over they moved to a crowd shot and much to my surprise I saw what looks to be the Professor Mike Tenay. I can't positively identify you on this, but do you remember attending this taping? I am a total believer in the TNA product and bring many friends to my house on Wednesdays to get a taste of NWA/TNA. ANSWER: You have a keen eye, George. Yes, that's me at the Showboat. I attended many AWA tapings in that era. Most memorable match was the Curt Hennig-Nick Bockwinkel one hour draw. Most memorable angle was the Colonel DeBeers attack on Jimmy Snuka. Thanks for your support and keep watching TNA every Wednesday! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: ARBOK Did you ever work with Jim Ross? ANSWER:No, Jim was already with WWF when I started announcing with WCW. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: ANTOINE (NOTTINGHAM, U.K.) Following a post in your column, I checked out Friendly TV and was delighted to see an episode of Xplosion ... very enjoyable! Also on that channel, they showed a card featuring Ring Of Honor vs. U.K. based FWA. The match that stole the show was A.J. Styles vs. Johnny Storm. Does TNA have any plans to recruit U.K. talent? ANSWER: Glad to hear that you've discovered TNA and enjoyed Xplosion. Johnny Storm has appeared in several TNA matches in the past year. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: JZSD Madusa was a great women's champion in WCW. Does she still wrestle? ANSWER: Madusa has been driving monster trucks for the past few years. I hear she's also working on her autobiography. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: MARK (MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN) What are Billy Robinson, Jim Brunzell and Greg Gagne doing? ANSWER: Robinson was training wrestlers in Japan, but last I heard had relocated back to the States. Brunzell and Gagne both live in Minnesota. Brunzell owns and operates car washes and Gagne is selling cars. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: MATT BARKER (LEEDS, ENGLAND) Who in your opinion was the best ever English wrestler? ANSWER: I'd have to give the slight edge to Billy Robinson over The Dynamite Kid. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: GREG (CARBONDALE, ILLINOIS) My TNA DVDs came in, and I finally got a chance to check out your product. Simply amazing. I also ordered TNA On Demand and while I initially had problems, customer service instantly fixed the problem. ANSWER: Glad to see that you had a chance to see and enjoy TNA. Thanks for supporting the product -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike Tenay [email protected]

All wrestling fans are marks. TNA's audience in Nashville are mostly "casual" fans since they comp nearly 70% of their tickets (but they have their vocal sections of internet fans), where just about all of their PPV audience are internet fans.

No love for 45? How quickly we forget...
