  1. I too vote for Undertaker/Cena. Besides the totally wrong guy going over, the match itself was suprisingly very good and was one of my honorable mentions for the top 10 of the year. That's like 4 matches at or around **** for Vengeance. Insanely good show. Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton from Unforgiven is also much better than most people give credit to. Booker/HHH beside the result was also good but was lost amongst the other matches at Mania.
  2. I can't get you out of my heart! Something something from the start... Gotta love Tank Abbot as their manager...

Spike TV's video game award show to include

Just announced on Wrestling Observer Live: Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho. Tape this Tuesday, airing at the Spike awards.
  4. It's all so convoluted. Apparently Hogan and Russo agreed prior to the show to swerve everyone and act like it was a shoot. They agreed that Jarrrett would lie down and force Hogan to pin him, and that Booker T would win the "real" title later in the night. The plan was for Hogan to go away for a while and then shock everyone by coming back and have a unification match with Booker T to unify the 2 titles. But...after the match Russo went on a tirade calling Hogan a piece of shit and starts shooting on how he plays political games which apparently was not agreed to which led to a lawsuit by Hogan for defamation of character that was dismissed as the court decided that in the context of a wrestling show Russo was talking about Hogan the character and not Hogan the person. Anyway they're using it now to get more heat on the Jarrett/Hogan feud but luckily they're treating the NWA title and the fact that HOgan's never worn it as equally a big deal. Anyway here's from SK's rant: - WCW World title match: Jeff Jarrett v. Hulk Hogan. Vince Russo joins us at ringside. Jarrett immediately lies down at Russo’s behest, as Russo tosses the belt to Hogan and walks away. Hogan grabs the mike and says "this is why the company’s in the state it’s in…because of bullshit like this!" and pins Jarrett with one foot to win the title. DUD Tony says "Swerve", so it must be a work, because SST. This is, of course, the same deal as Halloween Havoc, which failed to set the wrestling world on fire, either. Russo’s back again. He bitches about backstage politics and says that he came back for the people in the back who still "give a shit" about the company, like Jarrett and Booker, and not Hogan. So Russo promises that we will never see "that piece of shit" again now that Hogan’s got his title as promised by his creative control. He declares the belt held by Hogan to be dead, and states that Jarrett is still the official WCW champion, and he’ll defend against the guy who DESERVES a shot, Booker T. He finishes with a flurry, calling Hogan bald (a longtime no-no) and telling him to kiss his ass. Work, shoot, who cares, as long as Hogan gets told off on TV finally? This is definite hardcore internet smark stuff, though, as understanding the storyline means understanding that Hogan has been vetoing jobbing to Jarrett for the past few weeks and always attempts to get "his" title back.

    The OAO NWA-TNA 27/11 Thread

I loyally order every show. I LOVED KI/Kash, reminded me of something we'd see in the early days of the X division. Shane/Dutt and X/Sabin were both decent too. But guess what...shock of all shocks...I didn't like the show! It wasn't a good week! I thought there was way too much talking, especially that opening segment which just dragged on way too long and a really unsatifying ending to the ME. So there you go, some of us can still be objective...

    TNA From The Inside

Greetings again from Nashville! Lots to get to this week, so let’s get to it. TNA has had some great main events over the past year and a half, and I would have to rank this past Wednesday’s as one of my favorites. AJ Styles and Abyss are two of TNA’s “Homegrown” talent, and showed why they are main eventers Wednesday night with a matchup as good as anything I’ve seen this year. Abyss has been main eventing the IWA in Puerto Rico for the last year on a nightly basis, and has quickly earned that spot in TNA with a solid performance. The monster is a former Oakland Raider and has a master’s degree in marketing. AJ Styles? Once again, outstanding. There isn’t a more exciting performer in the wrestling business today. Hands down. Bar none. Case closed. The David Young / Glenn Gilberti / Simon & Swinger backstage action seems to be catching on with the fans. This weekend’s Xplosion features a backstage segment between the four of them that is absolutely hysterical. The foursome has a great dynamic. Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles for the NWA World Title has been announced for December 3rd. Teddy Hart is auctioning off his trunks from his TNA appearance on Ebay. He set his starting bid at one thousand dollars. Let's hope that is one thousand dollars Canadian. I was in Emporia, Virginia for Hermie Sadler’s Celebrity Race for Autism on Saturday. Hermie’s daughter has autism, and TNA is proud to support him in his efforts. NWA World Champion Jeff Jarrett is in town for the event as well. Let’s hope none of the celebrities ask him “Why” or they could end up like Jeff Pillars from the John Boy and Billy radio show. If you haven’t listened to John Boy and Billy, give them a try. They are the most listened to morning show in North America, even blowing away Howard Stern’s massive audience. To see if they are in your market, go to www.thebigshow.com. You can hear TNA’s very own Don West on “Wrestling Wednesday’s” every week giving an update on what you will see on that evenings PPV event. Want to know how to contact your favorite TNA superstar for a live appearance? Check out the brand new www.tnabookings.com! TNA expects most of the cable systems will be on board for our new monthly price plan that will launch in January. You will see advertising for this new option starting in mid-December. The price plan will be 34.95 for an entire month’s worth of TNA PPV. Chris Sabin has really caught fire over the past month with the TNA Audience. Look for new music to debut for the X-Division star this week. Jeff Jarrett and I were guests of Toby Keith this past Saturday night in Richmond at his concert. His live show needs to be seen to be believed. Toby kicks off all of his concerts the with a video of his many accomplishments, and hends it with highlights of Jeff Jarrett getting suplexed from TNA’s very first show. Toby in the TNA ring easily gets the biggest pop of the video. Look for an announcement this week on how you can view TNA PPVs online. I’ve seen the video feed on my DSL, and video quality is incredible. Look for a formal announcement this week. This will be especially big for the international audience who do not get the chance to order TNA PPVs on their systems. Announced for this Wednesday night already will be the TNA Fan’s Revenge match featuring Dusty Rhodes vs. Jeff Jarrett, Raven vs. The Redshirts, Sonjay Dutt vs. Michael Shane for the X-Division, and the Three Live Kru challenge Simon & Swinger for the NWA World Tag Team Titles. Also, TNA is expected to hear from Roddy Piper this week. That is all for this week - we will see you back on PPV this Wednesday night! Jeremy Borash TNA Wrestling OMG, damn that Jeff Jarrett for showing up at a charity event for autism! What an egomaniac! Who the hell has ever even heard of Hermie Sadler? He probably made Borash mention it, since Jarrett is such a mark for himself. FUCK JARRETT! The webcasts are coming so there should be no excuses for anybody who complains about the show without watching it because they can't get the show. Can't wait for the new discount price to start in January!

So You constantly BITCH about a promotion you admit to not watch?? owned! Of course he doesn't watch it, or else maybe some of his Jarrett hate would make a lick of sense and be based in reality...
  16. Wade Keller had a goofy idea where Austin's "long lost twin" shows up on RAW and plays mind games with Bischoff. That'd be pretty funny actually.

    Super News About TNA

Exactly. Jarrett COULD have gone to WCW with the title and thrown it in the trash. He had enough respect to accept a 1 day deal to get hit in the face with a pie and job to a girl on the way out.

    Super News About TNA

Yeah, that's what I've meant. I've read several wrestlers talking about the difference between the fan's idea of a good worker and a wrestler's and how Jarrett is high on the wrestler's list because he works a smart style, leads in the ring and no one gets hurt wrestling him.

    Super News About TNA

No, I have not read Austin's book. I don't think using a guy who walks out before a live show because he's unhappy with how he's being booked and refuses to do jobs to new guys is the best "witness" to use to prove that Jarrett is selfish, doesn't love the business and doesn't do jobs. By the way, besides Austin just about everyone else in wrestling recognizes Jarrett as one of the best workers you can be with in the ring. It might have been Mick Foley in one of his books that mentioned that Jeff Jarrett is the best example of a "good worker" because everything he does in the ring is solid and he doesn't hurt anybody.

    Super News About TNA

Right, Jarrett doesn't love wrestling...It has nothing to do with literally growing up in the business...Jarrett never does jobs, Im sure HHH jobs to country singers and race car drivers all the time...not to mention AJ Styles... Why am I bothering...
  23. Styles

    TNA From The Inside

Why do I fear for Jarrett's life thinking one of the fans will be one of the haters on the board who legite try to hurt Jarrett? Anyone hear how they're gonna do the match, anyway? They've got to have some control over it...

    Apolo

That's pretty much Russo's idea for every minority... Was russo even involved at this point. I don't think he was. I am not a fan of his but blaming him for everything is flat out stupid. A: It was a joke. Lighten up. B: Russo has been involved since the 3rd or 4th week I believe...
