The Dudleys for example work Japan and Italy tours and still do TNA tapings.

Oh yeah, Benoit having dream matches with the young talent of ROH and TNA in a less restrictive enviornment in front of crowds who would appreciate it. What a nightmare!
-
It's called not burning bridges on your way out. WWE.com is not going to print: "Those fuckers lowballed me and didn't push me. Im going to TNA".

So...they allowed Christian to cut weeks of promos on John Cena, clearly setting up for a title program and then he decided he wanted to leave the business and moved him to Smackdown and jobbed him inpractically every match? Yeah....
-
It's awfully coincidental that Christian decides to "pursue other interests" at the same time WWE offers him a paycut of half his previous downside guarentee, after a year of getting over with the fans being ignored by management and being made a virtual jobber. He'll be in TNA as soon as he's contractually allowed to be.

Yup, I pointed it out already. Most of the thread is still unbelievers and seem to believe Benoit means as much if not more to Vince Mcmahon than Jim Ross or Steve Austin. It's laughable really.

Italy is becoming like the US was in 98 where Pro Wrestling is just exploding into the main stream culture. There are semi-regular tours over there booked by Rikishi who apparently has a big money backer because the paydays are said to be huge and the accomodations (plane, hotel, meals, etc.) are first class all the way. All the former WWE guys and current TNA guys have been doing the tours.

D-Lo and Kidman are talking to Victor and asking him if hes slept with any of his co-stars. He says a gentleman never reveals his conquests and then says his date is there. He walks off with Dawn Marie and Kidman and D-Lo can't believe it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> this occured right after the hhh/rvd match. in fact it starts with kidman and dlo looking shocked at flairs heel turn and discussing it. I was there live and the crowd had nbo clue wtf this guy was that came in and talked to them. and dennis knight had onyl been away a few months when the taker got him. He had just come off the "southern justice" tag team gimmick wih his partner Mark canterberry (Henry Godwinn) they were bodyguards for JJ. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I remember the Dennis Knight "Sacrifice" deal being extremely graphic. Like Undertaker appearing to cut his wrists and feeding Knight the "blood" and then "cutting Knights chest open". It was really weird, it was all gimmicked plastics of course but I'm shocked they didn't get thrown off the air for it.

Back on the RAW in DC after Evolution first formed, my friends and I got comped 2nd row tickets on the floor on the side the wrestlers face the camera. For HHH's promo introducing Evolution, the entire time my friends and I led the first couple rows in a chant of YOU'RE NOT FLAIR! YOU'RE NOT FLAIR! and the whole time HHH is staring at us (he looked right at me when he said the line about "if you end up in a hospital bed, it's Evolution" or something). After the promo he just continued staring at me. It was great. Flair also kept leaning over at us and going WHOOO! and pointing at Hunter and mouthing something like "he's the man" or whatever. Orton and Batista didnt react too much. Even though it was obvious I had rattled HHH I didn't think anyone else would notice but to my suprise in next week's Wrestling Observer in Metlzer's recap, he actually wrote "during HHH's promo some fans were chanting "You're Not Flair" at him" which was really cool to see. The only other dealy was I recently went to a Smackdown house show and this was right when MNM had debuted and they were against Hardcore Holly and Charlie Haas. I was once again ringside and before the match yelled at Hardcore: "BOB, BE GENTLE WITH THEM, THEY'RE GOOD!" at which point Holly turns all the way around, yells back "what did you say?", so I repeat it and then he has this evil smile on his face and yelled back "oh...be gentle, ok...." and starts rubbing his hands. Heh, I knew MNM were fucked that night. Also, it wasn't just me, since it was like all the crowd, but I was happy to be part of the contigent at Summerslam screaming my guts out for Jericho.

RVD signed a new contract last year, he's not going anywhere. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Three out of four isn't bad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 2 out of 4, Jericho is happy being a rockstar and has no intention of returning to wrestling, let alone TNA.

I remember reading about Hart's insurance case but never heard the results. Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle, anyone? Whoever doesn't die first, wins the match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Let's go over this for the millionth time. Slowly. Bret. Hart. Had. A. STROKE. a fairly serious one. "A stroke or cerebrovascular accident (CVA) occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is suddenly interrupted. In brain tissue, ischemia, a reduction of blood flow, leads to an ischemic cascade that can damage or kill brain cells. Death of brain tissue can lead to loss of the function controlled by that tissue. Thus stroke is the third leading cause of death and leading cause of adult disability in the US and industrialized European nations (Jauch, 2005), and is a medical emergency. To underscore the seriousness of stroke, in recent years the term brain attack has become increasingly popular, in relation to the established term heart attack used for myocardial infarctions." Bret has trouble speaking clearly. He has some trouble with short term momory. He would be risking death if he ever took another bump. It's not going to happen.

This is nothing to get too excited about but it should be fun to see if they mess with Bret at all (Shawn Michaels on line 2!). Bret has gone on record saying he has no interest in doing anything with WWE beyond promotion for the DVD, which is what this is.
-
Did you need to post that twice? It's not "empty" speculation. I never said anything about Jericho.
-
Never said anything about Jericho. From what I hear he's content being a rockstar right now. Christian most certainly is coming in, the Benoit deal is speculation at the moment but his contract is up and he was lowballed, and as for Bret, I've heard from a very reliable source that he's going to TNA as soon as the promotion for his DVD is up.

Hold on for the ride.

Per Wade Keller of the Torch.

Those guys wouldn't even be the least of it in terms of TNA marketing in Canada. BIG things might be on the horizon soon. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ~! Cryptic clues rule... Thanks! Let's just say don't be suprised to see the "Screwed" DVD released a few months down the line as well.

Panda Energy has more money than Vince Mcmahon. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True. I just don't see a) the WWE letting Benoit walk and b) Panda wanting to spend the money to grab him if they do. Course, I'm currently drinking Nyquil and Dayquil at the same time so I might just be buzzed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Spike is behind the company big time and has layed down the edict that they want to see more familiar names on the show. Panda has the money to spend and is now getting to the miraculous point where the company is becoming a money making profit venture. If you combine what TNA would give him for 3 or 4 dates a month, plus 3 or 4 ROH dates a month making the top level salary for that company, plus a weekly tour of Italy where the money is said to be insane plus a trip to New Japan where they're DESPERATE for stars, if he's getting a Christian like lowball as Meltzer says (and that was reported to be Christians downside guarentee cut in HALF), than by all means Benoit could do just as well or better for himself outside of WWE.

Just because it's fun to think about: vs. or or GO BENOIT PLEASE GO!
-
One can only hope. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Between main event money working TNA, ROH, The Italy Tour, other indies as a top star and maybe a tour or 2 of Japan, Benoit would make out pretty good.
-
Yup, company loyalty means a lot to Vince Mcmahon. I'm sure Benoit means at least as much as these guys do to him:
-
Or trade him and watch him become a superstar elswhere.
