Unforgiven Results and early match ratings...

You, know what I'm tired. I don't think I have anything else to add. We both presented our arguments, let the people decide. In closing: I, a wrestling fan with nothing else to do tonight, chose to order a wrestling show that I expected to be average with my own money, got about what I expected, and even enjoyed some of it. I don't think that qualifies me as an idiot. Side conclusion: Since I actually viewed the show in question, my opinions of the show are more valid than from someone who did not view the show (you can make the same claim for movies, music, etc.)

If there was any doubt that you were just spewing elitist nonsense attacks, there's no doubt now.

Well, there you go, you just admitted you wanted to see reactions to the show, namely negative ones because of your own preconcieved notions. When you saw some positive ones, you couldn't take it. Let me again clarify, this was not a good show, but it was not bad either and I had no problem ordering it since Im a wrestling fan who's intentions are to watch a big show in hopes of seeing some good action, not "a smark...(who) like(s) to know how poorly...they book things and see people's reactions to it."

Ok for the last time Shane-O-Mac defenders...

I agree, I hated that finish, because Kane didn't actually do anything to beat Shane, it was just his own stupidity (or amazing bravery!) It was an intense brawl but I think the better ending would be a simple Kane chokeslam through the gimmicked stage.

Actually, I don't think that was the equivalent at all! And being that I saw the show and you didn't, I feel I'm more qualified to critique! One very good match, 2 or 3 decent ones and the rest average.

It's because it eats away at him that some people have no problem spending some money and enjoying a show while he wasted 3 hours refreshing his browser and searching for an illegal feed, so he could justify how bad a show was that he didn't even see.

Which brings me to my next point. If you're a rap fan, and pay 18 dollars for the newest rap cd, and Im a rock fan, how is my argument that you're wasting your money on a shitty product valid? You like rap, I don't. To me, it's not worth my money, to you it's different though. And even more specific. Im a rock fan, I Metallica fan even. Now, many have said St. Anger is a real shitty cd, especially from a band capable from more. Im a Metallica fan, I make the decision to buy St. Anger, and hey I even like it! Not a great cd, but I find things to enjoy nonetheless. Who are you to say I wasted my money and Im an idiot? No one's forcing you to buy it. Same deal here.

Bingo. I'm a WWE fan, I have no problem spending 18 measily dollars for 3 hours of their latest big show, even if it's not projected to be that great, it could suprise me and be really good, if not, o well, there will be future shows. Oh and that's a great point. Im not broke here. If I want to buy a tape I can and will and do in addition. Not neccesarrily puro, that's not something I follow but I guess that makes my choices of entertainment less valid.

No I'm not crying I'm defending myself. Your the one crying. Looks like you can't accept the fact that others have differing opinions than you. People ordered the show, and enjoyed it. There's nothing you can do about it.

Looks like I hit a nerve. I'm not offended, which is why I made the joke at the end that it would be ironic if I called for your banning since you are notorious for doing the same thing. I'm just saying you should probably tread lightly, since posting for the sole purpose of upsetting people with religious beliefs violates 3 or 4 rules at once here...

Exactly. With few exceptions I think MMA is boring as shit. Why? Because I said so! Oh you disagree? Well isn't that interesting. As I said, I have no doubt a good many of the people who are criticizing those who ordered the show are the same people who spent their time refreshing their screens for results and/or begging for a pirated webcast link. Just to clarify Im not trying to pick a fight here. I'm just defending myself and others from claims that we were stupid for ordering a show with our own money, and even god forbid enjoying it.

It was not a stupid decision. I had money to spend, I enjoy watching wrestling and I enjoyed the show. How do you like that?

Eddy Guerrero may have injured his elbow

Why would WWE run a house show opposite of their own PPV? Or was this from Saturday night?

Unforgiven Results and early match ratings...

Because Im a wrestling fan, that had nothing else to do and money he didn't mind spending. Whether anybody here will admit it or not, most of the people who didn't order the show were hitting refresh on their browsers every 2 minutes to read results/and or pleading for a pirated webcast link. I'd rather just watch the show, not having high expectations meaning at worst I get about what I expected, or at best a decent to good show. I thought it was ok. I enjoyed HBK/Orton, marked out for HHH's clean job to Goldberg and even had a little fun watching the announncer's match. If you didn't want to watch the show, or just not spend the money to watch the show, that's your right but don't criticize others who do.

I ordered the webcast, it was an ok show. I didn't expect much going in and it pretty much delivered an average show. Dudleys vs. La Reistance: * Test vs. Steiner: ** Orton vs. HBK: ***1/4 Kim/Molly vs. Trish/Lita: 3/4* Shane vs. Kane: **1/2 Y2J vs. Christian vs. RVD: **1/2 JR/King vs. Coach/Snow: 1/2* HHH vs. Goldberg: **

    Randy Orton is Underrated.

He's still very green. I have no idea where the sentiment that HBK/Orton would be the wost match of the night. HBK has been great in every match he's had since his comeback and Orton has the ability to be carried. Match of the night by far (not that it's saying too much...)

Because SP is simply defending his religious beliefs which are under attack (whether you agree with him or not) while Eagen has openly stated he's here to antagonize those who hold religious beliefs. I would say it's grounds for a banning but if I did, and irony was rain, we'd all have our wedding day...or something...
  20. Oh my god. I encourage everyone to go to machoman.com, and put up your speakers or headphones and just listen to the front page which is Macho man giving us clips from a bunch of songs on his album. Hulk Rules absolutely has a contender for worst wrestler album ever. Holy shit, this stuff is hilarious for all the wrong reasons. I am so buying this.
  21. From the Torch. Oh my Randy Savage throws down his mic in frustration during concert last night By Wade Keller, Torch editor Sep 18, 2003, 03:51 PM PWTorch.com reader Scott Fedor sent in the following synopsis of the concert by "Macho Man" Randy Savage in Treasure Island, Florida last night... Syndicated morning show D.J. Bubba The Love Sponge talked about the show daily for the week or so leading up to the event (heard locally on 98 Rock). Bubba and Savage have a long-running feud, and Bubba encouraged his listeners to come out in full force to let Randy know exactly what they thought about him. When I got to Mr. B's (the restaurant/bar where the event was held), there was a swarm of people outside of the building, many adorned in bright yellow shirts. Bubba had promised a shirt giveaway on the radio, and those were the shirts. On the front read "Hulk Hogan Rules" and on the back "Macho Man Sucks" with "Proud Member of the Bubba Army" written below. I was too late for the free shirts. Mr. B's was refusing to let anyone else inside at that point -- especially those who were wearing the yellow shirts. However, others who walked right up were let inside, no problem. Apparently the idea was to prevent hecklers from making it inside. That idea ended up failing. A slew of off-duty cops kept the peace out front as best they could. Brian Adams (Crush) and Macho Man arrived together in a limo. There were a few cheers... and then a chorus of boos from angry Bubba fans. People were shouting things like "Nubain" and "crapped your pants at Gold's Gym" at Randy. I was amazed at the scene. A cover band was inside playing as a warm-up, and I managed to finally get through the doors. The venue was tiny, hardly the scene for a serious concert. The performance itself was horrendous. Remember the Milli Vanilli incident in 1990 where their CD started skipping at a concert? That's what happened three songs into this show. Macho was lip-synching to his music, trying his best to ignore the overwhelming boos and jeers from the crowd. Unfortunately for Randy, the CD started skipping. Oops. He kept lip-synching until Adams gave him the sign to stop. They tried to compose themselves, but ultimately the rowdy crowd and equipment problems were too much to handle. Randy slammed down the mic and ended the show abruptly. Overall, the show was great on the unintentional comedy side of things. As a serious performer, though, Savage doesn't stand a chance. I felt bad for Randy up there on stage. Someone has given him some bad advice on this one. He'd be better off working for MLW here in Florida -- as a wrestler, not a rap singer

Tyler, for I think the first time I totally agree with your argument, and think you did a great job composing yourself and winning this one. Good job, man. (no, Im still not voting for Dean! )

    Smackdown Rating Drops

The hurricane had a lot to do with it. Im here in Delaware and our power went out last night so I missed Smackdown (luckily I had the forethought to call my parents in Maryland and ask them to tape me the show...they lost power like an hour after Smackdown ended, and are still without it). So I'd say that has something to do with it. Can't wait to see that tape though!
  25. Hogan apparently had a whole controversial chapter about his up and down relationship with Randy but his lawyers advised him to take it out, trherefore he only makes brief mentions of him in his book.
