Heh, trust me I'm far from an EXPERT ECONOMIST~! I can barely add and subtract. That last one was just a slip of the keystroke, I meant to say "save the folder" but typed board and you can't edit your subtitles..

It was a great match! The whole Naturals vs. AMW feud was excellent. The regular match where they switched the belts and the ladder match were also quite good.

Closest I can think of would be Uncensored which featured bad matches...I mean gimmick matches all night. Lethal Lotery when done was all random tag matches and then a battle royal....so I believe this is the first time in wrestling history (on PPV at least) that all matches will be in a steel cage...a 6 sided steel cage no less.

A-1 is Allister Ralphs (center in the above picture), newest member of Team Canada filling in for Johnny Devine while he's on injury hiatus. He's a student of Scott D'more's and is one of the bigger men on the TNA roster...

Lemme tell you sumtin', if you weel. Just tink about eet! Tink about eet, all da matches, in da cage. All of 'em. And we got tables, and ladders and oh mercy theys gonna be blood and guts and vioooleeence if you weel, and da girls will be there, isn't dat right, and it's going to be da biggest thing eeeevah that yo eyes weel see, believe dat why don't chya. Or in English, yes it is. Dusty knows his days are numbered and has apparently lost his mind. Like I said it's guarenteed to be an entertaining show. They can never have another steel cage match ever again, but for what it is expect a trainwreck that could actually deliver some really good matches...

....well I think the smart thing to do would be to switch the belt to AJ next month. They could let Elix finally win the X title from Daniels at Lockdown and then let Styles and Daniel feud for a month for the belt since those 2 are gold together and headlining in a World Title match should sell some PPVs to the right audience. Then build back up Brown to take the title from Styles at the anniversary show. Then again Dusty is booking...

OK, I just saw the release on MMA Weekly. As mentioned, I hope to score tickets to the show, and was really looking forward to seeing Mir vs. Arlovski, but the last main event I went to got downgraded so I geuss the trend continues. Franklin vs. Tanner for the Middleweight belt will be on the show too. Hopefully that's the main event. At least a couple of title will be up for stake. Wait, is it Arlovski vs. Eilers at UFC 53? I thought Mir was the still the champion, therefore Mir and Arlovski were going to fight each other in a unification match. What happened to that?

Wasn't defefended at Turning Point and that was one of their best shows. I mean, really, do people want to see Jeff Jarrett singles matches now? Do you really have to ask ME that question? I think you know the answer. And i thought turning point would have been twice as good with a world title match in there. I really don't know, so I assume you really are a Jarrett fan? Wow. Hey I'm a long time Double J fan too and supported him through much of his early criticism but he needs to drop that belt and just go on vacation or at least stay off TV for a couple months and regroup. He's anchoring down the company and driving fans away and his act and his match style have become too stale. If he came back with a re-energized spirit and a new fresh feud with someone new as champion it would help a lot...

The 3 week delay tapings do not help. If they can't tape every week, they at least need to go back to every other week tapings to keep things more fresh. Also, they should try to provide one match every show that's 15-20 minutes and PPV qualiy to make the show worthwhile for wrestling fans. Like a couple weeks ago with that X division shootout match or a few weeks back when they had Styles vs. Kash. If fans know they can expect one showcase match a week they'll tune into watch...

Honestly, this looks like a show from the sheer balls to the wall excess that could be either really good or really bad but either way should be entertaining in a car wreck sort of way. I'll probably give it an order too. One thing's for sure, it's Dusty's last stand.
-
Well, definitely not the last one. The first one's not so bad, nor is the third. Don't know what's going on in the second one. I wouldn't wear any of them regardless...
-
I was kind of thinking that when Dusty started blabbering about "lock up the women and children" I was thinking "and the men too..."
-
Yeah, me too, but Chase Steven's moonsault was spectacular too.

OK, I've just practically spammed the TNA folder with new topics. I'll compile an official Lockdown preview from the website soon too. Now come on GO POST!
-
I don't like the idea. The TNA folder goes through it's lag time without posts mostly because of the taping schedule that tapes 3 shows at a time. Once the tapings are discussed there really isn't much news for another 3 weeks but before and after PPVs there is a lot of good discussion. Being the #2 promotion (distant, granted) and only other promotion with a national TV and PPV presence I believe TNA deserves it's own folder to continue discussion. I agree, I don't see a reason this needs to be "fixed". TNA's audience and the general Indy audience are different in many respects. For instance, I don't know much about "indy wrestling" but am a big TNA fan. So, it would be inconveniant to scroll through indy threads to find something relevant to TNA. So I vote against this move. Even though I don't really visit Puro since I don't watch it, I'd imagine that folder should be kept seperate too since it's its own product (perhaps diversify it by naming it the "International" folder?)

Nice set, ironic coming from WWE who apparently thinks tag team wrestling is dead...

It looks like it. Saturday night is a better night for them anyway. The last show that was a Friday night was UFC 50: The War of '04 in October since I remember driving up to Atlantic City on a Friday after my classes. UFC 51 was the day before the Superbowl like last year with UFC 46, and I guess they liked Saturday better because UFC 52 is a Saturday and I believe UFC 53 is going to be a Saturday too...

So I want to pick up a Dream Theater CD, mostly because they're touring with Megadeth so I will likely be seeing them but am largely unfamiliar. Suposedly they're metal but everytime I put them in Music Match Jukebox their songs are like these long piano ballads. So, what's the deal? Anyone familiar with them, I'd appreciate a rundown of their catalogue and what you'd reccomend as a starter.

OK, well BMG didn't have Images And Words (I finally had a featured selection worth getting in Anthrax: Greater Of Two Evils which I wanted to get anyway, and so I get 2 free cds as a result) so I got Awake and Train Of Thought.

That's REALLY funny. I was just telling my friend on AIM about how Matt Hardy and Rhyno in a revenge movie called KILL VINCE would be funny, and they could kill Lita, Edge, Johnny Ace, HHH and Steph on the way to Vince. And then seconds later I see that picture. Tremendous!
-
Oh management hasn't liked Hardy since he split from his brother. I remember reading reports that Vince didn't "get" the V1 gimmick and reports of Hardy clashing with Johnny Ace and creative about his push (obviously they saw him as nothing more then a midcard guy- he is small after all), and of course we all know how WWE loves the internet fans and wrestlers airing the business on their websites, so that was like the kiss of death. Hopefully between TNA, ROH and other indy bookings where he should get paid topped dollar he'll do ok for himself. I think the Hardy Boy reunions alone will have steam for a few months...

Man, I wish my professors would talk about MMA. All mine ever do is whine about enviornmentalism...
