  1. Sorry, sunshine, Kerry called Bush and conceded. He'll be making his concession speech within the next hour. If you want to continue to be delusional and not accept the overwhelming popular majority of the country, you're welcome to go run through the streets and search for the truth. Idiot.

    I can't take this anymore

INXS...you're MINE. Having you use something that says "I'm stupid" or something would just be redudant, I want something that I know will irk you, and sums up the victory. Thus, I motion for this to be INXS's new avatar: I hope you respect the agreement.

Excuse me while I play the world's smallest violin. Oh, I think it's hilarious that Edwards was too oblivious to recognize it. -=Mike Maybe Edwards will seek damages from Kerry...

"College Republicans?" I thought they only had those at engineering schools; I do remember a fairly large Republican contingent when I went to GT... We've grown a lot in numbers. We have really dedicated and energetic leadership that has done a great job of integrating us into State commitee and local campaigns.

Hopefully you won't later whine in Czech's thread that people treat you so terribly simply because you're a Republican. Tensions are going to be high tomorrow. It's best not to do anything stupid like publically scream about Bush's victory or paste Bush bumper stickers along your entire hallway. Obviously, if you do, you're only asking for trouble. Republicans got what they wanted with what looks to be a Bush victory. It's useless to rub it in the face of Democrats, simply because it will only do its part to divide the country even further. We took so much shit from fellow students and our proffesors (politely though), and even citizens (a voter told a girl working with us, wearing a Bush shirt, that "I hope Bush burns in hell".) This is OUR night, if anyone wants to fight us, we'll fight back, we're loaded and won't back down!

It was pretty awesome. Why buy drinks (especially when you're not of age), when Bill Lee's team has a warroom stocked with beer, wine, vodka and everything in between that needs to GO GO GO!!! It was held at a Hilton hotel, and we filled the lobby and party rooms. And had the TVs on the whole time. As I said, our local elections went really poorly so it was somber at first, we a lot of concession speeches and tears, but once Bush started gaining momentum, there would be huge cheers. Once he had 269, it was like being at a wrestling show or something with everything chanting "ONE MORE STATE!" or "4 MORE YEARS" "DACHLE SUCKS" and everything in between. Tremendous fun. My group was some of the few fateful to stick around, but once it hit 2:30, we figured we'd head back.

I too have a class at 10. I will be there because I will not sleep. I've lost track of how much pizza I've eaten today which was the food of choice delivered to us at the polling places we were working for lunch, dinner and in between!

Delaware?!?!?! A) what are you doing partying in my state and b) how did you get into the party? Im a student at University of Delaware, and I was active through the college Republicans with many local races, which we lost across the board. God damn Ruth Ann Minner. That's all I got to say about that bitch. My Dad is Democrat and he was prepared to vote that witch out. Judge Lee gave a bittersweet concession speech, and annonced she no longer has a mandate. There were a lot of tears over that one, we thought we had it. The toughest loss was Paul Pomeroy losing to Terry Schooley for 23rd State Rep. I was at his house when he came out and said "it doesn't look like it's gonna be our night". Very depressing start to the night, but once the Presidential race took over, our spirits turned.

I'm back from partying with the Delaware GOP. I'm sleep deprived, had too much to drink and have no voice left, but am proudly wearing my "W is STILL the President!" sticker and am planning to line the dorms with the rest of the stickers...I'm just waiting for them to call New Mexico already. The Dems can bitch all they want, but Bush has the popular vote and a clear majority in Ohio, and will have a clear electoral victory. Its different than 2000. I haven't read anything in this thread, and Im too out of it to try. ONE MORE STATE! ONE MORE STATE! ONE MORE STATE!!!!!!!

The OAO TSM Election 2004 Thread

    You've got to be kidding.
  19. Grover Cleveland? George, wake the fuck up, it's election day CBS news calls Dixville, New Hamshire, for John Kerry Bush: Grover Cleveland was right Dick...I'll just have to try again next time Cheney: Boy, I have no idea what you're talking about, but looks like something is up... Yeah, it looks like we got Dixville wrong. This is Dan Rather, CBS News saying America can go fuck themselves I'm so sorry about all of that. Continue on...
  20. Exercising my right to vote in Colorado, of course. Anyway, when I lost to that no good son of a bitch Harrison, did I sit around a pout? Hell No! I came back and beat his bitch ass the next time. Wow, that must have taken a lot of courage to do, after losing the electoral vote the first time. Yeah, and I even won the popular vote the first time, but still lost the election! Isn't that some bullshit?! Uhhhh....right... Well, I must bid you farewell, as I step behind this magical curtain, to re-enter the afterlife. I'm late for my hottub date with Eleanor Rooselvelt and her mistress. Toodles Bye bye Grover Cleveland...
  21. Boy, I'm nervous about tommorow...what if I don't win. I'll be finished. I'll try to get some sleep and not think about it Dreaming... Voiceover: And John Kerry celebrates a resounding electoral victory and will now be making his acceptance speech As my first act as President, I will invite Osama Bin Laden to the Whitehouse to have a summit, so we can finally bring an end to our conflict, and do it without sending troops into a quagmire. My next act will be to eliminate the Department of Defense, replaced by a Department of Sensitivity and Peace to be run by a council of world... Oh man, looks like its back to Texas for me. I guess I'll never know what it would be like to serve a second term as President Quit yer bitchin', jackass. Grover Cleveland? What are you doing here?
  22. Tremendous. MSNBC has already had to correct itself and retract a call. Dixville was Bush 19 and Kerry 7 which is a lot better. Apparently it was another NH city that was tied.
  23. Don't worry.. Dixville may not mean much. Previous Dixville results 1996: 18-8 Dole 1992: 15 for Bush, 8 for Perot, 2 for Clinton and one source is claiming that the results may be a bit closer to a Bush win The fact that a traditionally Republican sample, has split its vote evenly with the Democrat is not a good omen...
  24. Bush could pull a Grover Cleveland and run again for a unconsecutive second term in 08! I'm sure by then, the new "America: Europe Style" will have been attacked several times by terrorists, and will be ready for the headstrong Sherrif who they unwisely kicked out to return on horseback and restore security to the range...
  25. Woops, I just heard it on TV, didn't see how it was spelled. You can carry on calling it "Dicksville" though if you like.
