Remeber this (Hasbro Figure League)?
King Cucaracha replied to Slickster's topic in General Wrestling
Some guy posted a link on the mailbag in Wrestlecrap to his figure fed site. I've still got a load of those figures in some dusty box somewhere in the house. -
Are you running a full roster split? If so, there's your problem. These guys expect to be on about every other show...if they're missing Heat and Raw/Smackdown, they won't be happy. When I did WWE, I got rid of the roster split pretty quickly...and with it Triple H and Kevin Nash. That may be your problem.

The One and Only Smackdown! HCTP Thread
King Cucaracha replied to Insane Bump Machine's topic in Video Games
And--this is a reason not to do so why exactly? There's no "right to not be offended" in the Constitution. Fuck the wussies. Everyone bleeds. You want idiots to play this game and think if you beat the hell out of women they WON'T bleed, so it's okay? If there's controversy about it, well, they only bleed if you go into exhibition mode and do it yourself, no one is making you to do so. Plus, the controversy would sell more copies anyway. It's a reason to Yukes. They don't want anyone making complaints about the game for one. And lets not forget all those 'anti violence to women' groups, who'd jump all over the game until it got taken out. Believe me, some of these crackpots think if 'Little Timmy' sees Chris Jericho bust Stacy Keibler open with a steel chair on a video game, then he'll run off and crack his mom with the nearest peice off liftable furniture. I know women bleed, I have Survivor Series 99 on video where Lita gets busted open. And I don't agree with it being left out. But I can see why they've done it. -
Greatest wrestling quotes ever?
King Cucaracha replied to Toshiaki Koala's topic in General Wrestling
Probably not exact... Steph- Rob, in my experience, once is never enough. Rob- Yeah, I heard that about you. Crowd- WHAT? Undertaker- Say what if you sleep with your sister... Crowd- WHAT? Lance Storm- "That's about as legit as a three-legged donkey. And we all know that's not legit, because, well, a donkey has four legs!" And also from Storm "If you want bells and whistles, I suggest you go to the circus." -
Well, success finally. Fox have decided to promote TNA in the Asylum to Primetime viewing...which means going head to head with WWE Smackdown. So what if they're on 100%PI...I can still beat them. Right? Oh well, even if not, I've got more slots than usual to work with now, which will probably mean more appearance payouts, but also more matches and...you know, stuff. *NEXT WEEK'S PREVIEW* ~Raven struck last week during the main event, taking out both D'Lo Brown and Jeff Jarrett during their Heavyweight Title Match, causing a no contest. Raven seems to be seeking recognition in TNA, as well as the blood of Jeff Jarrett. An announcement has been promised on this situation...but what will this announcement be, and who will make it now former Commisioner Bret Hart left NWA:TNA? ~Meanwhile, D'Lo is in action, defending the NWA World Title against Slash. ~This week a tag team tournament begins to find number one contenders to the Tag Titles. 8 teams will enter the tournament, with the four first round matches being this week. The matches themselves aren't known, but the 8 teams involved are The Gathering, America's Most Wanted, Skipper and Romeo, The Super F.R.I.E.N.D.S, SAT, Swinger and Diamond, Second City Saints and debutants The Briscoe Boys. The winners will meet Triple X for the belts at Quest for the Gold, live on PPV. ~A four way elimination match for the X-Division title will see Frankie Kazarian, Chris Sabin, Jack Xavier and Sonjay Dutt do battle. This, plus more, as TNA ventures into Primetime viewing.

Ok, I needed to keep a record of stuff for my TNA Game, so I thought I might as well start a diary. Hell everyone else has. It's not a comedy one...it’s just to keep a track of things. So if you're after comedy, try madmatt's Pro Wrestling Hogan. Or Zack and Deacon's threads. But before you do, you can stay and read this! Feedback if you want, ignore me if you want...after all, I am only SJL TV Champion! I'm already 5 weeks through, and already Sting has gone. Which screwed up my Raven/Sting feud. Oh well, he's unemployed now, and I'm not. Chris Hamrick, Nova, Blue Meanie, Paul London, Spanky, Shannon Ward, Norman Smiley, Jamal and Masato Tanaka have all been brought in, Hamrick and Nova to written contracts. I'm sure I've got rid of some more people, but I can't remember who, which is the reason for the diary. As far as titles go, Styles is still World Champ. America's Most Wanted were going well as Tag Champs...until Chris Harris gets a drug addiction and has to go into rehab, so Low Ki and Daniels take over the titles. Sabin's X Champ still. And I created the US Title, putting it on Shane Douglas. Styles/D'Lo, Jarrett/Douglas, Sabu/Waltman, Kash/Red, Credible/Lynn and Kazarian/Sabin are my feuds so far. *LAST WEEK'S SHOW RECAP* Week 5 of TNA under Adam Ryland(forgot to change the damn name before I started) started off huge, as BRET HART~! debuts as the new TNA commissioner and then Amazing Red wins the US Title from Shane Douglas, Jeff Jarrett providing the assist. Continuing a feud, Jerry Lynn attacks Justin Credible backstage, showing unusual signs of anger in the process(and getting me the lowest ranking on the show in the process). Don Callis debuts The Network with Chris Hamrick, Abyss, Diamond, Swinger and Kid Kash being his clients. Callis was doing nothing, so I might as well from a new Network. Spanky gets a debut win over Julio Dinero, before 'Triple X 3'(Low Ki and Daniels) defend the Tag Title Belts against Frankie Kazarian and James Storm. Trinity and A.J Styles beat Devon Storm and Shannon Ward in a Mixed Tag Match, as that DASTARD A.J Styles hits the Styles Clash on Shannon. And finally Jeff Jarrett beats D'Lo by DQ, due to interference from Shane Douglas, who is then attacked by D'Lo. *NEXT WEEK PREVIEW* ~Already booked, the main event will be a tag team match. Two feuds continued in one segment. A.J Styles and Shane Douglas team up to take on D'Lo Brown and Jeff Jarrett. Of course D'Lo and Styles have been warring over the World Title in recent weeks, and of course Jeff Jarrett and Shane Douglas have been feuding in recent weeks. D'Lo is also looking for retribution over Shane Douglas, after Douglas cost D'Lo his match against Double J last week. Let's see if the continuity will please the almighty Dames, because got knows not much else does! ~What agenda does new NWA:TNA Commissioner Bret Hart have? We may find out, as we see the return of Jive Talking, with Glen Gilberti. ~The new NWA US Champion The Amazing Red makes his first title defence next week, as he goes one on one with Elix Skipper of Triple X. Meanwhile, Elix's team-mates Low Ki and Christopher Daniels will be defending the NWA Tag Team Championships again, and again they will be facing James Storm and a partner of his choosing. Get used to it, because until Harris gets back this may become a regular occurrence. ~Last week The Network were introduced by Don Callis, what impact will they have this week on Kid Kash's one on one battle with new TNA star Spanky? ~Bret Hart, Spanky and Chris Hamrick debuted last week, Norman Smiley the week before. Another debut has been promised this week, but who could it be? ~Will I piss off Dames and use some angle time for the 3 Live Crew? All this and more on Anarchy in the Asylum Week 6, live on PPV, Wednesday night October 8th.

I'd go for that...as long as it ended with Mattitude staying. If only because it'd make people give a damn about Matt again, and also let Matt play the cocky 'everyone loves me' card. They should do it with Jericho if they want a trade or move, and get him off Raw. But like RRR said, they need to leave it off for a while...hell, sometime after WM XX would be good.

The One and Only Smackdown! HCTP Thread
King Cucaracha replied to Insane Bump Machine's topic in Video Games
If a wrestler changes his gimmick and look (ie Mattitude, Christian, WGTT etc), you can't change it in the game. You're stuck with the same look for a whole year. Matt Hardy V1 is one of my favourite wrestlers at the moment, but when I'm playing SYM I'm still stuck with the Hardy Boy gimmick. Ok...that's one reason. Just forget what I said before then -
Hell yeah! Hopefully this'll mean a new series afterwards as well...

To be honest, I don't see the point. Apart from a changing of a shirt, or so some 12 year old HHHater can make him 500 pounds and start laughing 'LMAO HHH is fivehundreds poundz omgdz he so fat cos he sux lmao!!!1!!'. And no doubt someone will get offended if they see a women bleeding in the game. -
I do too...once I'm done with the 'other' one planned...

NWA:TNA- ANARCHY IN THE ASYLUM, SHOW 19 Announcers: Mike Tenay and Scott Hudson Tag Team Match America's Most Wanted vs The Gathering The Match: Flying shoulder tackle by Storm sends Dinero CRASHING to the mat. Big piledriver on Dinero. There's a two count on the pin. Storm tags out to Chris Harris. America's Most Wanted whip Dinero into the ropes and hit a double backdrop. BIG clothesline on Dinero. Hooks the leg for a two count. Wildcat slams Julio Dinero. Julio Dinero pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Wildcat walks into a face crusher variation. Has anyone's face ever really been crushed by one though? Tag between Julio Dinero and Doug Basham. Rude Awakening neckbreaker on Chris Harris by Basham. Remember when that was a legit finish? Spear by Doug Basham. Chris Harris once again takes the advantage after blocking a few punches and connecting with some forearms. Wildcat tags out to James Storm. Nice piledriver on Basham. Death valley driver by James Storm! No one executes that move properly anymore. Hooks the leg! ONE...TWO...NO! James Storm connects with rights and lefts and Doug Basham is down! Basham counters a backdrop attempt with a kick to the face and hit a clothesline! Spear by Doug Basham. Triple X come running down the aisle and into the ring! Storm turns...and is dropped with a double DDT! Storm in big trouble. James Storm can barely stand. Here it comes - Smash 'em Basham. 1....2...3, it's finished. The Gathering rush forward to attack! America's Most Wanted get caught by surprise and brutally beaten down to the canvas. Winners: The Gathering by pinfall Crowd: 60% Match: 67% Overall: 63% Dames Rating: * (First up...yes, I have gotten lazier and I am using Dames' commentary for the diary. Hell...I'll probably be out of business soon anyway, so it won't matter that much. Here is an example of how I have a good Tag Division, so I might as well use it. Logic. Unfortunately, this game doesn't think Doug Basham is any good, which dragged the match down. Plus, I find it funny in hindsight that America's Most Wanted got beaten up twice, and lost the match, but didn't lose any overness. Sure, 'it worked for the Posse'...but where are they now?) Backstage, it's un-over Brit Jonny Storm, and over Brit Roddy Piper. Of course, Piper is here to handle Storm's interview ahead of Storm vs Skipper. It just occured to me...why are there so many wrestlers in the world with the last name 'Storm'? Lance, Jonny, Quiet, Devon, Rio...it's become almost as generic of a name as Dudley. Anyway, Piper handles the interview, which saves it from mediocrity...or less. Overall: 77% X-Division Match Jonny Storm vs Elix Skipper The Match: STIFF high kick on Skipper by Jonny Storm. Jonny Storm kicks the leg, knocks Skipper down, and goes to work on it. Jonny uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Second rope flying axe handle, Skipper goes down. One day, Jonny might even consider coming off the top with that. You know...for more impact and stuff. Jonny drops an elbow...but Elix Skipper moves out of the way. Skipper uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! SUPER frankensteiner on Jonny, who hit hard and is loopy as a result. Covers for a quick two count. Jonny blocks the suplex attempt and is able to hit the suplex instead! Jonny crushes Skipper with a running senton. Hooks the leg for a two count. Vicious kick to the teeth from Jonny Storm. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! Skipper reverses a Jonny Storm hammerlock. Skipper hits a HARD spinning kick to the jaw. Jonny Storm elbows Elix Skipper in the face to break a hammerlock. Jonny uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Elix Skipper gets knocked to the ground by Jonny, who is already climbing the turnbuckle. Off the top - Swandive Headbutt hit hard. Kid Romeo slides into the ring out of nowhere! Jonny takes a stiff punch to the face and falls to the canvas. The referee calls for the DQ as Kid Romeo continues to attack Jonny. Skipper and Romeo are putting the boots to Jonny Storm! Gary Steele comes running down the aisle with a chair! He slides in, sending Skipper and Romeo running for cover. Gary Steele saved Jonny from a major beating. Winner: Jonny Storm by DQ Crowd: 51% Match: 79% Overall: 65% Dames Rating: ** Notes: Elix Skipper lost overness from this match. Jonny Storm gained overness from this match (Dames needs to learn...a dropkick to the knee is JUST a transition move. Sheesh. These two put on a decent match, which is good seeing as they're feuding. The DQ decision keeps this feud running on, and the nature of it brings Gary Steele into things. Which isn't a bad thing, Steele is a decent enough wrestler, and not earning overly much. Which, considering my state, means a push. It's a pity he's like Storm...lacking in charisma.) X-Division Title Frankie Kazarian© vs Chris Sabin The Match: Sabin uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Super kick by Chris Sabin. Hooks the leg for a two count. Sabin goes for a splash but Kazarian puts the knees up. Frankie Kazarian strikes Sabin. Frankie Kazarian hits a rolling kick on Sabin. Konnan has ruined any chance for me ever enjoying this maneuver again with his shitty execution of it. Hooks the leg for a two count. Diamond Dust from Frankie Kazarian and Sabin is out! Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Second rope flying axe handle, Sabin goes down. One day, Kazarian might even consider coming off the top with that. You know...for more impact and stuff. Sabin counters a sleeper with a jaw breaker and is able to get free! Flying cross body off the top rope! Covers for a quick two count. Power drive elbow by Chris Sabin. That sounds like a feature on a 4 x 4, doesn't it. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Kazarian takes a flying neckbreaker from Chris Sabin. Standing leg lariat by Chris Sabin on Kazarian. Kazarian kicks Chris Sabin in the gut to reverse the momentum. Flying elbow from Frankie Kazarian connects. Back heel kick off the second rope, Sabin goes down. Chris Sabin gets whipped into the corner by Kazarian, who charges in with a clothesline. Sabin grabs the referee and pulls him in the way! The referee calls for the DQ as he collapses to the mat in pain. Chris Sabin gets out of the ring and walks off, having taken the cheap way out. Sabin grabs the referee, then nails him with a right hand! Dozens of people hit the ring to stop any further incident. Winner and still X-Division Champ: Frankie Kazarian by DQ Crowd: 60% Match: 73% Overall: 66% Dames Rating: *1/2 (Well...that was a letdown. I guess Kazarian isn't the best choice for the X-Title after all. Maybe I should give it to Sabin, who's so amazing he can punch a referee in the ring...despite having walked off to the back. That's pretty darn empressive. Maybe I should rename him 'Stretch Sabin'. Or maybe I should do that for my next fed, WWW. I've admitted defeat, sooner or later I'm going to go bankrupt. So I'll run this out, and then it's Gillberg, Doink, Kurrgan and Ekmo all the way. You're looking forward to that now. The Sabin-Kazarian feud rolls on for now though...I'm not done yet in TNA.) Interview time again...Douglas rips on Killings. Yes, they're feuding. This one will be going on for a while, and both these men have been announced as participants in the 'Don't call it a Royal Rumble Match, it's a Quest for the Gold Match and don't you forget it' Match, along with A.J Styles. More to be announced soon enough. Overall: 77% NWA World Title D'Lo Brown© vs Jeff Jarrett The Match: D'Lo slams Jeff Jarrett. Jeff Jarrett is able to duck a clothesline attempt and connect with a counter clothesline. Jeff Jarrett hits some punches. How generic. The referee bumps after catching a wild right hand and is down. Jeff Jarrett scores with a standing spinebuster. Cover, but there's no one to count for Jeff Jarrett! D'Lo reverses a waistlock. Running knee lift from D'Lo Brown. D'Lo Brown hits a bulldog off the ropes. Covers for a quick two count. Spear! Jarrett is down! Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Jeff Jarrett comes up with a right hand out of nowhere. Jarrett hits a piledriver on D'Lo Brown. That used to end matches, you know. Hooks the leg! ONE...TWO...NO! D'Lo backdrops Jeff Jarrett out of a piledriver attempt. That took a lot out of D'Lo Brown. Raven just slid into the ring out of nowhere! Raven has a chair, and drops D'Lo and Jarrett with devastating blows, causing the referee to call for the bell. This match has been ruled a no contest! Raven has a chair. D'Lo turns and takes a brutal shot to the head. Jarrett is next to take a hard shot. Raven has demolished everyone! No Contest Crowd: 75% Match: 89% Overall: 82% Dames Rating: ***1/2 Notes: The NWA World title has gained in image (Damn...***1/2 for Jeff Jarrett. I'm not ecstatic about paying Jarrett 85,000 a month, but still. I guess he does have some uses. A cop out decision again. Which means only one out of four matches finished clean. If that's not a good advert for TNA, I don't know what is. And this is without Russo on board. At least I got a good match, a little more image for the title...and a decent first show.) Overall Rating: 73% Attendance: 2003 T.V rating: 4.56 Best Match: D'Lo Brown vs Jeff Jarrett Hottest Match: D'Lo Brown vs Jeff Jarrett Worst Match: The Gathering vs AMW Best and Worst joint segments: Douglas interview and Piper/Storm interview Well that was a good start. Sure, it was non finish city, but I got the ratings, both T.V and overall, that I wanted. Attendance is of course down, seeing as I increased prices a touch. Time to see if Fox want a primetime wrestling show...

Possible change to J.R. vs. Coachman at Unforgiven
King Cucaracha replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Hey...at least he's wrestling. Tazz, albeit probably my fav commentator at the moment because he's near competant, is stuck there. They should really turn Cole heel on Tazz, and have Cole, Snow and Coach vs Tazz, Lawler and Ross. Oh, and Josh Matthews and The Cat should be added. And bung Okerlund in there too. The sad thing is, I'd watch that. -

Pitiful. LOL? Oh U Crazay Raven1919, LMAO!!~! OMG~~ ::taps out before Banky can kill me at the insult game:: I'm not trying to flame you, just kindly point out you make Bob Barron look like the Fonz when you use "LOL". Good Charlotte fans throughout the word would be proud. You should change your internet handle to sk8tgrrl182. Pansy. First off, it's world, and secondly what's wrong with Good Charlotte... ...yeah, I'm bored and need someone to insult me. Good Charlotte suck and you're a moron for even suggesting otherwise. Happy now? Err...not really. Oh well...I tried.

That interview Bret did at the beginning of Attitude after the Bret/Sid Cage Match opened my eyes. I knew he had good mic skills, even when he carried Niedhart promo wise. But never anything like that. HBK's promos are good too, but he couldn't carry the promos for the Rockers the same way Bret could for the Hart Foundation. Who was more over at their prime? It's close, but I'd guess Shawn...did you ever see any fat chicks in the crowd dressed like Bret? Actually...that's not a bad thing I guess.

This is the one before the plane incident right? Need I say more.

Tournament mode...multiplayer...fuck, I'd buy it right now if it was out. I'm too lazy to check back, so I'll ask...Is that 34.99 dollars? And if so, he'll sell it in England, being English...and that's be about 25 pounds. That's nothing.

Ok, I was watching NWA Wrestling Classics...which is basically old episodes of NWA Worldwide, for those of you who don't have Sky/don't live in the UK. This week, amongst the numerous squash matches(and The Freebirds baby!), a match featuring the old school pudgy jobber and...Owen Hart. Now this was sometime in between WrestleWar 91 and Superbrawl 1 I think. Hart wrestled as the Blue Blazer in 1989/1990, and was back by 1992. But I can't remember ever seeing him on a WCW PPV. So...how long was he in WCW for...what was the deal with him being there(surely Bret would've wanted his brother in the WWF with him)...and what happened while he was there.
-
Bret's the better wrestler, Shawn is the most 'widely entertaining' wrestler. In other words, he appeals more to Marky McMarkington more. How many times does this topic have to come up around here?
-
Ray...you don't say you hate Angle. That's the smart part of you. Instead, you constantly bring up/mention/bitch about/moan about/whine about/compare/insult with the old 'Angle can't sell leg injuries'. The 'it's not always a damn carry' thread. The ironman thread. This thread(I think). It everywhere you go recently. That's why people assume you hate him. Because you don't say he's overrated in one thread about it, and leave it in that thread. You have to take it everywhere you go. That's why. And something I failed to mention...yes, the nip-up spot sucked. But it's not an isolated case. Michaels, Jericho...Rock almost every over match. Just like the spots, it's used to bring up the crowd reactions. To be honest, it's as bad as, but at the same time as effective as, the Hulking Up.
-
Thanks for the comments and advice. Flik, I've got a couple of guys like D'Lo and Cyrus on written contracts, and I'm going to sign a load more to written contracts. I'm actually running 4 houseshows which I didn't realise about. But to be honest, I'm about $3 million in debt already, so I'm just running this one out until bankrupcy. If I can prolong it, then I will...but I've got a more Deacon/Zack style fed lined up anyway.
-
I agree. Rip Rogers was one of those heel jobbers who was around for like 10 years, never winning a match. Kind of like The Gambler. Jobbers were pretty bad ass, I wish they would come back Yeah...he got clubbed the hell out of by Ron Simmons on a show a couple of weeks ago(weeks before Owen's debut)...pity the jobbers today are actual talents like Stevie Night Heat.
