I've heard everyone bitch about commentator angles
King Cucaracha replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
I wouldn't be surprised about the wrestling role...he's about the same height and bulk as Shane. And yeah, it was great. When you saw the chair come down across Shane...the last person I expected tos ee was Coachman. And as I've said in another thread, the mocking of JR deserves some smark love. And boy did Shane kick the shit outta him. I would make the hell out for a Coach/Matthews team. Sad, but true. -
Moving on from Bionic Redneck...that fuck up of the F-5 by ANGLE which I'm sure NO-ONE will mention sure as hell helped the star rating. I liked the match, but seeing the ****1/2 star ratings being thrown out here, it begins to make me hate Kurt Angle. There is such thing as OVER liking someone. Seriously...****1/2 stars for that? ***1/2 is more like it. And the Coachman heel turn was 5 star in itself. Seriously...the JR mocking was hilarious.

Just wondering...anyone know the longest undefeated run in SJL before so I can use it in the commentary instead of 'this kid is still undefeated'. Oh...and I'll call opening promo, but it'll be nothing spectacular, so if anyone wants it they can take it from me.

Nope...I have a sneaky suspicion too. I don't usually moan about people being held down or about the WWE's PPV quality going down. But this on paper sucks. And believe me, judging from the card or lack there of, if I had to pay for this...I wouldn't. *smiles because he lives in Britain so gets this for free*

Well, it's roster cut time again. After last week's show, Nidia accepted a release, and is now gone from NWA:TNA. What this means for Pat McGroin is not known, or for many, not cared. The Blue Meanie was also released, and Brother Clay did not impress enough to earn a contract. Paul London was released also due to his expensive contract and my desperate need to cut costs. And Norman Smiley went also, due to not being used enough. I had no real need for him, so he's gone. As a result, I have to hire again to get up to 45 workers. So in come Danny Maff, Colt Cabana, Chris Hero and Sonjay Dutt, for cheaper than the load I just got rid of, which is a pretty good exchange. With all these new stars, I need to find a way to use them next week. Oh well, where there's a will there's a way. *NEXT WEEK'S PREVIEW* ~NWA:TNA Anarchy in the Asylum week 16 marks an historic night. The night where the legend will return to action. The night where Bret Hart gets back into the ring for the first time since late 2000. NWA:TNA World Champion A.J Styles will be the opponent, and the title will be on the line. But can Bret Hart recapture the glory days of his title wins in the WWF and WCW? It promises to be a memorable night when the young and the old collide. ~The World Title will not be the only title on the line on Week 16. In fact, all the titles will be. US Champion The Amazing Red finally gets round to meeting the long running challenge of Kid Kash. Kid Romeo and Elix Skipper face Low Ki and Christopher Daniels for the Tag Team Titles, Skipper and the Champs of course former allies in Triple X. X-Division Champion Frankie Kazarian faces newcomer Colt Cabana. And Ekmo defends the King of the Darkmatch title once more, but this week it's a special elimination three way dance. Another wrestler will get a one shot chance at getting a TNA contract...but Pat McGroin has got his last chance. If he does win, or at least impress, he will be gone from NWA:TNA. ~The Super F.R.I.E.N.D.S debuted last week, and this week will be in action once more, taking on Swinger and Simon Diamond and America's Most Wanted in a three team elimination match. These teams were the losing three in last week number one contenders match, and will all be looking for retribution this week. ~Also newcomers Sonjay Dutt, Chris Hero and Jack Xavier will face off in a triple threat match. This plus much more on an historic NWA:TNA Week 16.

Just call him Shannky. No-one will ever know. And to who posted earlier, Eddie and Chavo always have great matches. Hell, I got Chavo to #3 face in the WWE by February thanks to Eddie. Well...that and a whole bunch of firings.
-
He's overated? C'mon. Once one's been on top of the heap, do they have to be dubbed overated? He's probably the best WWE World Champion worker they've ever had. He's had watchable matches with everyone he's ever faced, and more times than not, has brought out the best matches of people's careers when working with them. Everyone? EVERYONE? Even Brian Adams. Now that's over-rating someone. I vote Bret.

I'm not saying I'll buy it...but to be honest, she deserves it. Not many wrestlers in the WWE have made the effort to better themself in the space of time she has to the level she has. The difference from when she first started to now is immence. She does great amounts and levels of promotional work. She's over. Probably got a great attitude towards the business...she deserves her own video. I'm not saying she deserves it MORE than anyone..but she deserves one.

The One and Only Smackdown! HCTP Thread
King Cucaracha replied to Insane Bump Machine's topic in Video Games
I'll be doing Ultimo Dragon and Rey versus TSPWGTT. I always try out the new characters and matches first. -
NWA:TNA- ANARCHY IN THE ASYLUM, WEEK 15 Announcers: Mike Tenay and Scott Hudson King of the Darkmatch Ekmo vs Brother Clay Oh man...the crowd were dead for this one. Almost literally. At least it was short...Ekmo hit a couple on generic hoss moves, and then the big splash. Clay never stood a chance. Winner and still KOTD: Ekmo by pinfall Crowd: 28% Match: 64% Overall: 46% Dames Rating: 1/4* (Ekmo's reign of terror continues on. Can anyone defeat him? Can anyone draw a good match out of him. The second answer is probably a definate no. At least within my price range.) Backstage in one of the locker rooms(yes, a locker room...we don't use broom cupboards), Joey Matthews is sat watching the TV monitor, kicked back in the chair looking cool. Or trying. All this is going on while the ring announcer tells everyone about not using laser pens and laser guns and the like. Does anyone actually use those laser pens anymore? Looking bored, Joey grabs the remote and changes the channel...and after a few channel hops he manages to find an old episode of Baywatch, which understandably brings a smile to his face, and a comedy nod. Suddenly a door behind him opens, as in walks Christian York...but maybe not, as Joey tells 'Chandler' to look at the T.V. For anyone finding this segment to be like a bad scene from Friends...congratulations, because it is. Hell, there's even a duck walking around behind them. With a smile 'Chandler' grabs a chair and sits down watching the T.V as well...and the segment ends with Chandler muttering 'Oh...my...god'. Overall: 55% (Notes: See...we're hip. We're cool. We're ripping off Friends incase you hadn't noticed. That should increase our young fan base. Kids love rip-offs. Christian York is now Chandler York, which is an improvement in my book. Oh, and the team is now known as the Super F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Genious. And yeah, this is just the beginning. Now their debuted, hilarity will ensue.) It's promo time, as the NWA World Champion has entered the ring while the Super F.R.I.E.N.D.S nonsense. The crowd are really on his back, with D'Lo chants. Styles tells them all to shut up, because he's not here to talk about that WWE reject D'Lo Brown. He's here to talk about the biggest hypocrite in wrestling. Bret Hart. Understandably, that gets many boos. Styles goes to talk, but is cut off by Bret's music playing, and we may have a confrontation. Bret is not out to apologise. He did what he did due to provokation. But he is out here to tell Styles what he thinks of him. He's a great athelete. A star of the future. But he's also a cocky sunnavabitch. Big pops from the crowd as Styles is going mad. A.J wants Bret to shut up and listen. He claims to be the best there is, was and will be. But how about he proves it next week. Bret Hart versus A.J Styles next week! Bret thinks about it, and accepts! A little taken aback, Styles tries not to look worried about what he's got himelf into, as Bret leaves. Overall: 75% (I know Bret probably won't be able to wrestle anymore. But it's worth a try to get Styles a little more over. Bre returns to action next week.) Ratings Killer Handicap Match Shannon Ward vs Nidia and Pat McGroin Ok, I admit this is a bad idea. McGroin's probably one of the worst workers on the roster...and possibly the worst in the match. These three are kind of on probation...stuck in meaningless matches until I find something to do with them. Shannon puts up a good fight against two opponents, and dominates part of the match. That says a lot about Nidia and McGroin's value. They do put in a couple of decent double team moves, but the singles moves seem sloppy as hell. In the end, Nidia gets pinned from a DDT by Ward to end the pain. Winner: Shannon Ward by pinfall Crowd: 51% Match: 47% Overall: 49% Dames Rating: -* (Bad idea was a bit of an understatement I guess. Heads will roll after this...) Four Team Elimination Match, Tag Title #1 contendership America's Most Wanted vs Skipper and Romeo vs Super F.R.I.E.N.D.S vs Swinger and Diamond Debut of the Super F.R.I.E.N.D.S in TNA, in ring. Triple X walk down a little way through match and join the commentary team. Or rather Daniels does. Low Ki sits to the side watching the match, not talking. In the ring Skipper and Romeo spend the first part of the match again either York or Matthews. For most of the match infact it stays between those two. Matthews eventually tags to Harris, but gets tagged back in from Skipper. Not long after, Harris eliminates Matthews with a top rope bulldog and we're down to two teams. On commentary, Daniels gets asked about former ally Elix Skipper...and then America's Most Wanted...ignoring the match for the most part. The crowd however aren't, and begin to get behind the AMW. Unfortunately for them, America's Most Wanted are the next team eliminated as Swinger gets the pin on Chris Harris. Swinger manages to fight off an immediate onslaught from Skipper, and work together with Diamond to gain the advantage. Eventually it breaks down into the usual tag team brawl, and Swinger gets hit with the Kiss of Death, Romeo gets the pin as Diamond is held back and the three is counted. Triple X leave watching Romeo and Skipper all the way, these two teams meet next week Winner: Kid Romeo and Elix Skipper Crowd: 62% Match: 78% Overall: 70% Dames Rating: **1/4 (Skipper faces his former buddies next week. Bet you thought Simon and Swinger would win...if you're regular readers. And have a memory. But I guess my plans have changed.) Ron Killings is backstage, ready for an interview. Since I don't have an named interviewer I know of, Killings conducts it himself. He wants to prove a point to Shane Douglas over their 'conflicts' last month. This isn't over between them apparently. Killings then walks off...and that's that. Overall: 81% (Douglas is feuding with Killings...Killings has an interview...Killings doesn't like Douglas. Not very inspiring, but there ya goes.) X-Division Match Julio Dinero vs Paul London Yes, two great wrestlers in a thrown together match where they don't click. Great. Just what I wanted. This is actually the most the crowd has probably ever been into Paul London on Anarchy in the Asylum. Pity he's going to be getting so damn much at the end of the month for it. Both men did the whole feel each other out and indi stance stuff, before Dinero takes the advantage. He has a while on the offense before London fights back. A hurricarana gets a near fall as suddenly here comes Alexis Laree. London starts arguing with Alexis, as Dinero sneaks up behind and hits the Theater of Dreams for the three count. Winner: Julio Dinero by pinfall Crowd: 69% Match: 66% Overall: 68% Dames Rating: *1/4 Notes: Alexis Laree's turn was completed, and she is now a heel. Alexis Laree gained overness from this turn (Alexis is now no longer a tweener, and is actually #4 heel in the company. The sudden urge to yell 'you go girlfriend' suddenly subsides when I remember Michael Cole yelling it at Debra in 1999.) X-Division Match, Guest Referee Chris Sabin vs Jimmy Rave Guest Referee: Frankie Kazarian Kazarian is referee for no reason other than his feud with Sabin. Logical booking? Meh. Sabin is wary of Kazarian throughout the match, taking his mind off of under-utilised Jimmy Rave. A nice decent match, Kazarian stays fair for the majority of the match, Sabin still keeping a close eye on him. The distraction of this allows Rave to catch a roll-up, and Frankie gives a quick count! Rave and Kazarian make a quick exit, as Sabin looks on shocked at their celebration. Winner: Jimmy Rave by pinfall Crowd: 53% Match: 66% Overall: 59% Dames Rating: 3/4* Notes: Chris Sabin lost overness from this match (I need to get out of the 'faces do heelish stuff' mode. D'Lo backstage attacks, Frankie cheating someone out of a win. Well the feud continues on. I'm justing waiting for the day I can end it so both can increase their overness a little.) Main Event, Tag Team Match D'Lo Brown and Ron Killings vs Shane Douglas and A.J Styles D'Lo and Styles have been feuding since the day I took over, and Killings and Douglas have started up a feud recently. Douglas and Killings start off...Douglas isn't the cowardly heel he once was you see. The Truth starts off with kicks and right hands, but Douglas soon gets the advantage and Killings gets beaten down. The crowd get into the match, wanting D'Lo in, but the heels keep Killings from tagging out. Of course, the tag eventually comes and D'Lo comes in fire up, causing Styles to retreat to the outside. Douglas and D'Lo brawl, as Killings hits a plancha on Styles to big cheers from the crowd. From there it turns into a brawl for a good 5 minutes. Styles takes off the turnbuckle pad, but doesn't get to use it as D'Lo takes him to the outside. Instead Douglas sends Killings in and rolls him up for the cheap pin. Winners: Shane Douglas and A.J Styles by pinfall Crowd: 80% Match: 73% Overall: 77% Dames Rating: ** After the match, suddenly here comes Commisioner Bret Hart. The two seperate brawls continue on, as Bret watches Styles and D'Lo closely. Suddenly, Bret picks up a steel chair, the crowd encouraging him to use it. He seems to have a change of heart realising what he's doing, as Styles sends D'Lo into the railings. The champ turns around...and bret floors him with a chair shot! Bret Hart vs A.J Styles next week! Overall Rating: 67% Attendance: 3433 Buy rate: 0.21 Best Match: AMW vs Super F.R.I.E.N.D.S vs Diamond and Swinger vs Romeo and Skipper Hottest Match: D'Lo Brown and Ron Killings vs Shane Douglas and A.J Styles Worst Match: Nidia and Pat McGroin vs Shannon Ward Best Segment: Killings interview Worst Segment: Super F.R.I.E.N.D.S debut Not a great show...at least I got a decent main event to continue my feuds, and build up Bret-Styles next week. Whever that's a success...I doubt. But it's worth a try.

They'd better add a couple matches to the card before Sunday... World Heavyweight Title Match, Elimination Chamber TRIPLE H (+155) vs. GOLDBERG (+155) vs. CHRIS JERICHO (+210) vs. RANDY ORTON (+325) vs. SHAWN MICHAELS (+375) vs. KEVIN NASH (+375) Damn this is up in the air. Screw it, I'll just go...$200 on Orton WWE Heavyweight Title Match KURT ANGLE (-130) vs. BROCK LESNAR (+110) $500 on Angle United States Title Match, Fatal Four Way EDDIE GUERRERO (-130) vs. CHRIS BENOIT (+155) vs. RHYNO (+250) vs. TAJIRI (+300) $300 on The 'Almighty' Benoit World Tag Team Title Match LA RESISTANCE (-175) vs. THE DUDLEYS (+155) $350 on Dudleyz KANE (-360) vs. ROB VAN DAM (+280) $200 on Rob Van Dam SHANE MCMAHON (-155) vs. ERIC BISCHOFF (+135) $380 on Shane O Mac UNDERTAKER (-270) vs. A-TRAIN (+210) $750 on Taker And with $670 left... I wonder if I can get $350 on Vinnie Mac interfering in the main event at any odds. If not that's cool...it's an obvious happening anyway.

Most significant match of the decade
King Cucaracha replied to geniusMoment's topic in General Wrestling
The others mentioned, especially Austin/Bret and the nWo formation... Taker/Mankind at Summerslam 96 is probably the most underrated influence on the Attitude era. The match that brought pushing the envelope to the WWE truly. They'd done some stuff before that, but this was the true ECW influence coming through. -
Cheers for the feedback U.Y.I Another slow week...a week where I'm currently making a small profit! Woo! Then again, I need to make more...and soon. So, no expensive open wrestler shall appear this week...and will not be included in... *NEXT WEEK'S PREVIEW* ~The A.J Styles-D'Lo Brown feud rages on...but now seems to be drawing in Commisioner Hart. Styles attacked Hart last week during his appearance on Watts Cooking, but was attacked back by D'Lo as TNA went off the air last week. This week, Bret Hart has promised an important announcement...it's not known is this affects A.J Styles or not, but it's more than likely Bret has A.J on his mind after the attack last week. ~Styles himself will be in one on one action, as he teams with Shane Douglas, who is fresh of a big victory over Jeff Jarrett. Their opposition will be D'Lo Brown and 'The Truth' Ron Killings, in whay should be a fantastic main event. ~A Tag Team melee will determine the Tag Team Title number one contenders for next week. The reunited America's Most Wanted, debutants Christian York and Joey Matthews, Swinger and Simon Diamond, and Skipper and Romeo will do battle in a four team elimination match which promises to be [tazz]off the hook[/tazz]. ~Ekmo is once again challenged one on one for the King of the Darkmatch title. Can he ever be dethroned from his title? ~Not too much else has been officially announced for the show. But believe me, it promises to be [tazz]a rocketbuster[/tazz] of a show.

Whever he means it or not. To be honest, Nash is ok by me as long as he's kept to non-anger promos. If he's out there acting 'cool', then he's bearable. Like the Highlight Reel week before hair vs hair. Steiner is over. He too is bearable. But if they went in place of a Stevie Night Heat or Dreamer push, then I'd get rid of them.
-
I find it funny how everyone is suppoded to forget Tough Enough when it comes to Nidia, Linda and Jackie. The only one who's ever mentioned as having any assocation with Tough Enough any more is Maven. And yes, that picture looks horrible...the Shaniqua one that is. But for anyone who saw SD two weeks ago where the 'odd foursome' got beat up...Cole is calling her an Amazon. Like Chyna when she first debuted. It's obvious they way their going with her...Chyna pre-chin removing.

If he loses a little bit of the Too Cool stigma(even though I still ask have two mid/undercarders been as over as he and Grandmaster got in their heyday), then he'd be a valuable addition to Smackdown. To those who say he's a poor worker...I say most of you are just bitter because he finisher is the Worm. Route out some Malenko/Scotty matches to show he can work with the right opponent. I think the best bet ould be a Spanky/Scotty underdog team. If he's stuck with Rikishi, then he'll be stuck with the Too Cool stigma and everyone will just label him as another stale gimmick.

Ok, for those of you still reading...here's week 14. For those of you not reading...you won't be reading this, so there's no point in talking about you... As the roster cuts keep on going, my mind seems to be filled with crazy ideas. Deacon's fed is infectious. So, I'm going to figure out which weird ideas I can use considering my relatively low risk rating, and they may debut next week. But for now...it's serious wrestling all the way. Except Ekmo... NWA:TNA- ANARCHY IN THE ASYLUM, WEEK 14 Announcers: Mike Tenay and Scott Hudson King of the Darkmatch Title Ekmo vs Chris Sydal This should be...'meh'. Sydal was what we Brits call 'cheap as chips'. In wrestling terms of course...you wouldn't pay $10,000 for a bag of chips. Interestingly, Sydal put up the fight of a bag of chips. Considering his opponent was Ekmo, it's not surprisingly he didn't last long. The big samoan destroyed Sydal, and hit the big splash from the top to retain the belt. Winner: Ekmo by pinfall Crowd: 44% Match: 56% Overall: 50% Dames Rating: DUD Notes: The King of the Darkmatch title has gained in image (Another DUDtastic match for Ekmo. And yet, he's one of my top heels. Figure that one out if you will.) Tag Team Match Paul London and Jonny Storm vs Kid Romeo and Elix Skipper Paul London is one of the highest earning workers to survive the cut, because he's so damn talented. Plus, apparantly he's a vital face to TNA...#5 to be exact. Sure, number 4 is Erik Watts...but you can't win them all I guess. All these guys are stuck in semi pushes, and I'm not sure which of the four to push to the X-Division contendership once I end Sabin/Frankie. All four put in decent performances, the crowd not really into the match as much as it deserves, as so often seems to happen with un-over super workers. For now, the push seems to be fixed on Jonny Storm, as he managed to get the victory for his team with the Swandive Headbutt. After the match, Romeo and Skipper returned the favour and attacked London and Storm, these maybe becoming a full time team once more. Winners: Jonny Storm and Paul London by pinfall Crowd: 58% Match: 81% Overall: 69% Dames Rating: **1/4 (Ah, if only these guys got more crowd reactions. Now I have less workers on the roster, maybe I'll be able to concentrate on these type of guys more.) Backstage, Alexis Laree and Julio Dinero are talking...nervously. Yes...the stalker is still on the loose probably. A noise is heard in the background, and both shoot their heads around. Parranoia is setting in for The Gathering. Overall: 68% (Ok, this was actually a turn angle. I don't want The Gathering to be tweeners, so I'll do two more of these for the other Gathering members and write them as if they're being stalked.) NWA X-Division Title Frankie Kazarian© vs Chris Sabin This is the rematch from week 11, where Frankie took the belt from Sabin. This week, Sabin looks more determined than usual, dropping the cocky exterior and getting into the match. The match suddenly becomes a WWE Eddie Guerrero match, with two seperate ref bumps in the match. The first denies Sabin the win after a Tiger Bomb, and the comes after Kazarian nearly won the match. With the referee down, Sabin rolls to the outside after a clothesline, as Kazrian tries to revive the referee. Reaching out for Sabin, Frankie then gets nailed with a ring bell shot, and Sabin rolls in to make the cover as suddenly the referee throws the match out! Sabin is in shock, as it seems the ref saw the bell shot, and is calling for a DQ. Sabin doesn't look happy, but is suddenly attacked from behind, and the fight is on again! Sabin and Kazarian brawl for a while...through the crowd, through the aisle...until they dissappear backstage. Winner: Frankie Kazarian by DQ Crowd: 64% Match: 73% Overall: 68% Dames Rating: *3/4 (Sabin still does not hold a victory over Kazarian in their feud...a feud which should soon end I think. I'm sure I could find better combinations than these two.) After a commercial, it's Watts Cooking time. Erik Watts stands in the ring and announces his guest Bret Hart with no hesitation. Maybe we're running low on time. Bret walks down, and it seems Watts wants to know what the deal is. Is Bret a fair commisioner? Well, of course Bret says he is. Watts cuts him off, and shows a replay of what happened last week...the right hand which took Styles out and sent him running. Bret then cuts Watts and the video off. Hart you see is ashamed of his actions. He said he'd be a fair commisioner. He said he'd do a better job than Vince Russo ever did. And he apologises for his actions. Suddenly, in from behind from through the crowd comes A.J Styles! Bret continues talking, and gets blindsighted from behind with a belt shot from Styles!!! Watts chases Styles off quickly, as the commisioner is out cold. Overall: 86% Erik Watts gained overness from this segment. (Yes...this is an experiment. Objective 1- Can I get A.J Styles over at the expense of Bret Hart. Objective 2- Can I make Bret Hart a wrestler for one last match and have him re-create some magic. Objective 3- Can I get out of paying Bret the $71,000 at the end of this month. We shall see. Pity only Erik Watts gained overness from this.) It's Tag Team Title time. Try saying that without moving your tongue. The champs Triple X are already in the ring, awaiting their challengers...one of them is James Storm. The other. Well, Storm walks out and announces he's found the best partner in the world. Someone in the crowd shouts out Chris Benoit...so Storm corrects himself. The best partner he could find that isn't on a written contract for the WWE and won't charge obscene amounts of money. Yes...it's the return of Chirs Harris. The crowd pop...except the Benoit guy. Sadly, and slowly...SKeith walks away as the match begins. NWA Tag Team Titles Triple X© vs America's Most Wanted Yes, he's back and it seems the rehab has done him the world of good. These two teams just naturally seem to click, the re-united America's Most Wanted putting on a great show of tag team wrestling. Harris is the target of Triple X's attentions, and eventually they cut the ring off with great tag team wrestling. The crowd are into this one too. Great match once Storm is tagged back in, and the crowd really begin to believe a title change could come. In fact, AMW manage to nail the Death Sentence, only for Low Ki to save Daniels from a pin. In the end, Harris goes for a superplex but is caught by Daniels with a splash mountain, and then the Last Rites for a three count. Winner: Triple X by pinfall Crowd: 70% Match: 86% Overall: 78% Dames Rating: ***1/4 (I knew I stuck by Chris Harris for a reason. Well...other than the fact James Storm would get all pissy if I fired his buddy. And if I fired Harris, Storm would have nothing to do. But also, they're a good team. Great match, Triple X are still champs and are on 29 experience now, but wrestle like they're on 60.) Intergender Tag Team Match Blue Meanie and Nidia vs Nidia and Pat McGroin Oh...boy. From greatness...to obscureness. Devon Storm and David Flair did not escape the doom of the roster cuts. So Shannon Ward has to team with the closest I can find to an outcast. The Blue Meanie. Bless them, they try their best. But it doesn't work. Maybe I should keep Shannon and Nidia in the eye candy stakes. Shannon hits the Frankenscreamer on Nidia to prolong her and Pat's un-un-defeated streak. Winner: Blue Meanie and Shannon Ward by pinfall Crowd: 55% Match: 50% Overall: 53% Dames Rating: DUD (Yowza...a DUD was what I expected I guess. I need to find a use for Blue Meanie and quick, because without Nova he doesn't have one in my book. Although...I may have an idea...) It's obviously time for the big one, as the Cage is lowered. Tenay and Hudson mention how we've never had a Cage Match on an edition of Anarchy in the Asylum, this raising the importance of this match a little. We get the long entrances as the crowd seem ready for this one. Steel Cage Match Jeff Jarrett vs Shane Douglas Douglas doesn't seem too keen to get into the cage, and it's not hard to see why...the moment he steps in, Jarrett grabs him and throws him head first into the steel cage. A bloody battle, both men used the cage to their advantage in the course of a long, back and forth match. Jarrett became the first to be bloodied, and by the time he mounted a comeback he has already suffering blocked vision from the blood. The battle found it's way to the top of the cage soon, both men exchanging punches atop the steel. A slip from Jarrett sent him crashing crotch first into the top rope. Douglas took his chance, and escaped the cage thus winning the match and the feud. Winner: Shane Douglas by escape Crowd: 87% Match: 65% Overall: 80% Dames Rating: *1/2 Notes: Jeff Jarrett lost overness from this match. Shane Douglas gained overness from this match. Jeff Jarrett gained overness from this feud ending. Shane Douglas gained overness from this feud ending (Douglas is now my number 1 heel, and the third most over man in the company. Everyone hates him still, but oh well.) Just when you thought the show was over...A.J Styles is leaving the building, when suddenly he gets smashed in the back with a chair shot from...D'Lo Brown. Yeah, they're still feuding remember. Styles goes down, as D'Lo stands over the champ threateningly. Overall: 78% Overall Rating: 73% Attendance: 3454 Buy rate: 0.20 Best Match: Triple X vs America's Most Wanted Hottest Match: Shane Douglas vs Jeff Jarrett Worst Match: Blue Meanie and Shannon Ward vs Pat McGroin and Nidia Best Segment: Watts Cooking with Bret and Styles Worst Segment: Alexis and Dinero Well, the attendance continues to rise. Pity I can't improve my buy rate. It'll come. Hopefully. AMW are back together, Douglas gains big time overness...good show all in all.

Okay, time for another of a month end recap. By the state of my finances, I might not be doing many more of these. Monthly Records... Best Match: Triple X 3 vs Paul London and Devon Storm, November 26th Hottest Match: A.J Styles vs D'Lo Brown ref/Bret Hart, November 19th Worst Match: Nidia vs Shannon Ward, November 26th Best Segment: Bret makes D'Lo sign a waiver, November 5th Worst Segment: Nidia and Pat McGroin debut, November 12th Title Situation World Title: A.J Styles. US Title: Amazing Red X Title: Chris Sabin Frankie Kazarian(beats Sabin, November 12th) Tag Titles: Triple X 3 King of the Darkmatch: Ekmo Top 5 Wrestlers... #1A.J Styles- Still World Champ, two victories over D'Lo Brown and one over Jerry Lynn. #2Frankie Kazarian- New X Division Champion, coupled with two successful title defenses. #3D'Lo Brown- Two losses, but putting in impressive performances against A.J Styles both times and nearly became World Champion. #4Ekmo- Still undefeated, with victories over Alter Boy Luke, NOSAWA and Axl Rotten #5Low Ki- Tag team wins with Christopher Daniels, one of those the match of the month, plus a singles victory over James Storm. Ok, now it's time for roster cut time. I'm in the red money wise, so I need to alter my written contracted roster a little. And anyone overpaid on open contracts is going too. So out go New Jack, Sabu, The Harris Boys, B.G James, Mad Mikey, Sandman, Sonny Saiki, Brian Lee, David Young, Cassidy and Chase, Devon Storm, Chris Hamrick, Jason Cross, Nova, Spanky, Glenn Gilberti, Sean Waltman, Danny Doring, Konnan, Desire, David Flair, Mike Awesome, Roadkill, James Mitchell, Dutch Mantell and Vince Russo. For now. So I'm down to 43 workers on the roster. So now, I have too few people on the roster. Just to make Sophie happy, I go out and sign Christian York, Joey Matthews and a British lightweight called 'El Midgeeto'. Luckily, I have plans for them all. With all the firings, Ekmo is now my number 5 heel in the company! Chris Harris has returned from rehab. Simon Diamond and Julio Dinero are back from injury. And Anarchy in the Asylum is now a Saturday night show. Just for the hell of changing. Hopefully this bunch of roster cuts will help me make money. Hopefully. So, with all these cuts, what's in store for... *NEXT WEEK'S PREVIEW* ~This week, the feud WILL end. After weeks...months of confrontations, Jeff Jarrett meets Shane Douglas, one on one...and it will be a Cage Match. One way or another, the feud will end this week, but who will leave this battle with the upper hand on the other? It promises to be one hell of a battle. ~A.J Styles and D'Lo Brown escape the roster cuts(obviously), and their feud rages on. Week 12 saw the two engage in another fantastic battle, with Styles gaining the victory again. After the match, Bret Hart fired a right hand at Styles sending him reeling. But what will the fallout from his actions be? Both A.J Styles and Bret Hart will be in the house, and apparantly he's out for revenge. ~In an X-Division Title rematch, Frankie Kazarian goes one on one with Chris Sabin this week, with Sabin looking to regain the belt he lost three weeks ago. And Low Ki and Chris Daniels defend their Tag Team Titles this week, against old enemy James Storm and a partner of his choosing. Who will step up and be Storm's partner this week? ~Alexis Laree was seemingly being stalked two weeks ago. Is she, and if so who is the stalker? CM Punk and Julio Dinero return this week, so she should be safe. But Punk and Dinero were of course both attacked by a mystery assailant in recent weeks, so could these seperate incidents be connected? ~Ekmo will have another challenger for his King of the Darkmatch this week, but with funds running low will the talent of opposition do the same? ~Also Paul London teams with Jonny Storm to take on Elix Skipper and Kid Romeo. And Erik Watts will present Watts Cooking once more, but the guest is not known. This plus more on NWA:TNA Week 14...the one where everyone's been fired.

An open letter to Linda McMahon
King Cucaracha replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in The WWE Folder
Ok kid...if the 'f word' worries you so much, I could make you some mittens to cover your wikkle ears. Would you like that. THAT'S the reaction you'll get from WWE after that line. The grammar doesn't help your case. You don't use 'btw' in a letter. 'A gimmick match that makes people hurt'. The WWE, funnily enough, doesn't want their wrestlers to get hurt. Saying you were happy when Test 'got injured'...insulting the reader...insulting hosses...WORST of all, insulting the future son in law. That'll make them throw the letter right in the trash, because all you have served to do is insult the McMahons, insult the product, and make yourself look like the whiny smark idiot they think we all are. The WWE will take one look at this letter, and do exactly what I did. Laugh. You'll need someone to proof read it...someone impartial if need be, to edit out all your anti-WWE stuff. Surprisingly, they don't want to read anti-WWE comments. -
EWR 4.0 HSW 2.0 Diary! Still Better Than Yours!

SpongeBob Backlund Pants? Best...gimmick...ever. Good to see you back Deacon. -
Yeah...I wouldn't want to be a wrestler, what with politics and stuff. Being a colour commentator...that'd be a dream. God knows how you break in as an announcer, but once I leave school then I'm gonna try and find a way.

If they take the title from Angle already, it'll be a bad move. His other title reigns weren't legendary at an understatement...unless this is leading to a huge Angle/Lesnar match some time very soon, they can't put the belt on Lesnar.

NWA:TNA- X ANARCHY IN THE ASYLUM, WEEK 13 Announcers: Mike Tenay and Scott Hudson Tenay and Hudson inform us only X-Division stars will be in action tonight, so there's no Ekmo title defence tonight. Thanks for that guys. Way to earn your paychecks. Dark Match, Bra and Panties Match Nidia vs Shannon Ward Bra and panties, bra and panties! Nidia and Shannon Ward are not the best pairing for a match up usually. But, with my increased risk level, it's bra and panties time. Personally I don't see the 'risk' in bra and panties matches. I suppose they could get a 'fabric cut' or something. Maybe not. Nidia takes advantage from the beginning, and boy the crowd are into this despite the lackluster action. Nidia manages to remove Shannon's top, but this seems to spur Shannon on as she fights back. An enziguri kick allows Shannon time to take off Nidia's top, and then the panties are exposed after a Frankenscreamer, and Shannon Ward wins the worst match you're likely to see in TNA. Winner: Shannon Ward by bra and panties, bra and panties, bra and panties JR! Crowd: 70% Match: 39% Overall: 60% Dames Rating: -* (Say what you will...sex sells. 70% crowd heat is more than most talented wrestlers get. You'll be happy to hear this one is not over by a long shot.) NWA Tag Team Titles Triple X © vs Devon Storm and Paul London Low Ki and Daniels are now simply Triple X, Elix Skipper being removed from the team off screen. Storm and London are...mismatched. They're also a pretty darn good team. Sure, Low Ki and Daniels carried them through most of the match, but London especially held his own. Some big high spots in this one, the crowd solidly behind London. Devon Storm was the one who came closest to getting the win for his team though, hitting a roll-through spinebuster for a close two. Things soon degenerated into chaotic brawl, and this left Devon Storm vulnerable to a Last Rites for the three count, Triple X retaining the title once more. Winner: Triple X 3 by pinfall Crowd: 68% Match: 89% Overall: 78% Dames Rating: ***1/2 Paul London lost overness from this match. Devon Storm lost overness from this match. Christopher Daniels gained overness from this match. Low Ki gained overness from this match. The NWA Tag Team titles have gained in image (See...a bra and panties match gets more crowd heat than a three and a half star battle. Maybe Vince's way isn't so wrong after all. This was a good match however, beating last month's best match between Hidaka and Skipper.) Four Way Elimination Match Nova vs Kid Romeo vs Jonny Storm vs Slash Basically, four X-Division guys in a throw together match. Basically, the crowd noticed and didn't get into the match. Tags had to be made in this match...it's not that weird when you think about it. WWE had a dumpster match where you had to make tags in 2000. That's weird. Jonny Storm hasn't been seen around TNA for quite a while, but came in fired up tonight. In fact, he got the first pin, eliminating Nova with an impressive tiger bomb. Kid Romeo takes advantage, hitting a dropkick to the knee from behind and working away, Slash doing the same as Storm gets double teamed. Eventually a tag comes, a blind tag to Romeo. Slash locks on a standing leglock, as Kid Romeo goes to the top rope and hits a flying bulldog to get a three count. Romeo and Storm are left, Romeo again works away on the knee. In true face fashion, Storm gets a fight back opportunity, and takes it with a DDT and a Swandive Headbutt for a shock victory. Winner: Jonny Storm by pinfall Crowd: 51% Match: 75% Overall: 63% Dames Rating: *1/2 (Storm may be in for a push, what with the cost cutting I'm going to have to do soon. So this was to test the waters a little, see how the crowd react to him. He may need a little gimmick alteration by the looks of things.) Tag Team Match Chris Hamrick and Swinger vs Danny Doring and Spanky Doring has been feuding with The Network members Hamrick and Swinger blah blah blah. Roadkill isn't an X-Division star, so Spanky steps in. It's a pity these guys are all on high earnings and may have to go as soon as I start cost cutting. Another top quality match, another Network lesson in tag team wrestling as they cut the ring in half on Spanky. Some nice wrestling from both teams, the match picked up as Doring got the tag. The chaos all got too much for Brian Hebner though, and he missed Swinger using brass knuckles on Doring. Swinger quickly rolls up Doring, and gets the three. Winner: Swinger and Chris Hamrick by pinfall Crowd: 57% Match: 81% Overall: 69% Dames Rating: **1/4 (Hebner involved in more controversy. Pity I can't use him in any angles. Another good match, this show doesn't seem a bad idea right now.) Backstage, Shannon Ward is now in the catering part of the backstage area, getting herself a coffee. You can just tell something bad is gonna happen. Why else would they be filming her getting a coffee? Sure enough, here comes Nidia spearing her into the catering table, and the cat fight is on! Tearing at Shannon's clothes, eventually Nidia strips Shannon to her bra and panties. Revenge for earlier on in the show. Overall: 75% Notes: Shannon Ward gained overness from this segment. Nidia gained overness from this segment. (Sex certainly sells. This is just like the Stephanie McMahon versus Sable brawl in the sxybox...only I don't think even Shannon Ward screams as loud as Stephanie. Next week...more of the same if it keeps upping their overness like this.) NWA US Title Amazing Red© vs Sonny Siaki Red is back from Japan, and doesn't seem to have lost a step. A good match...short and sweet. Red gets in the crowd popping offence, including a Jericho style SUPER hurricanrana with both men on the top rope. Siaki nearly steals the title with a vicious diving spear, but it's a close near fall. Red comes back soon after with a spinning heel kick, followed up with the Infra Red for a comfortable win and title defence. Winner: Amazing Red by pinfall Crowd: 63% Match: 74% Overall: 68% Dames Rating: *3/4 Notes: The NWA US title has gained in image (Well, Red gets a simple win. Puts the title over some more. Gets Red back on PPV. Exactly what I wanted.) NWA X-Division Title, Triple Threat Match Frankie Kazarian© vs Chris Sabin vs Elix Skipper The history for this comes from last week of course. Frankie enters the ring last, and it seems Skipper and Sabin are waiting on him. But, as Kazarian enters the ring he manages to duck a double clothesline and hit one of his own. From there, Kazarian tries to fight both men off, but they manage to beat him down eventually. Soon enough, Sabin and Skipper's teamwork falls apart, and Kazarian hits the Wave of the Future from out of nowhere for a three count. Winner: Frankie Kazarian by pinfall Crowd: 62% Match: 74% Overall: 68% Dames Rating: *3/4 (Ok...for some reason this went way too short. As such, the rating was low. Hopefully next time it won't go as short. Yes...there will be a next time.) Trinity is backstage with AJ Styles. I don't know why I didn't Styles do the interview...other than I thought it'd be weird having Styles not talk about D'Lo. So Trinity says her man will beat Jerry Lynn tonight, just like old times. Overall: 69% NWA World Title A.J Styles© vs Jerry Lynn These two had quite the feud back when NWA:TNA itself began. Lynn hasn't been seen much since Anarchy in the Asylum began though, due to his pay demands. Typically solid bout, with some nice counter wrestling to kick things off. The pace soon picks up, a few high spots even thrown in for good measure. Styles puts his usual solid effort in, turning into a bona-fide star mroe and more every day. In the end, Jerry fought and fought, but Styles kept his head...and used his head, by pinning Lynn with a roll-up, using a handful of tights for good measure. With the win in the bag, Styles grabs his belt and quickly makes a sharp exit, as Lynn looks angry. Winner: A.J Styles by pinfall Crowd: 73% Match: 86% Overall: 79% Dames Rating: ***3/4 (FINALLY! First match over ***1/2 stars I've got for NWA:TNA. It took damn long enough. Oh well, that was the main purpose of the show, so mission accomplished I guess.) Overall Rating: 72% Attendance: 3429 Buy rate: 0.21 Best Match: Triple X 3 vs Devon and London Hottest Match: A.J Styles vs Jerry Lynn Worst Match: Nidia vs Shannon Ward Best Segment: Nidia attacks Ward and strips her Worst Segment: Trinity and Styles interview Well, the X-Division show worked out well. Unfortunately, I'm on the verge of losing big money, so the next time you read this...it will be a cost cutting bonanza. I mean, mad crazy firings yo. To quote Gorilla Monsoon(I'm sure he said it at some time...), just who will survive?

So...another slow week. Until I raise risk to 70%, and suddenly Dames' Diatribes end our sponsorship deal due to 'the increasingly risky material that we are using.' Dames suddenly = morals. So, I get sponsorship from a company who gives me more money. Hopefully this'll help me stop losing money so drastically. Anyway, it's week 13. It's an unlucky number. It's the X-Division. It's... *NEXT WEEK'S PREVIEW* ~This week, it's X Anarchy in the Asylum(those creative geniouses are at work again). Luckily, this X-Division includes A.J Styles, so the World Title will be on the line. And although it'll probably cause me to tip my profit over into a loss, Jerry Lynn will be the one getting the shot. It promises to be an awesome main event between two men no strangers to each other to say the least. ~The X-Division Championship itself is put on the line, Frankie Kazarian defending against both Elix Skipper and former champ Chris Sabin in a triple threat match. This all stems from last week, Skipper and Sabin double teaming Frankie after the Skipper/Kazarian match. Will Skipper and Sabin work together these week as well? ~Also the US Championship is on the line, with returning Amazing Red defending one on one against Sonny Siaki. And the Tag Champions Low Ki and Christopher Daniels return to action with a title defense against the team of Paul London and Devon Storm. ~Chris Hamrick and Swinger's feud with Danny Doring and Roadkill continues...sort of. Of course, Roadkill is not an X-Division star. Spanky however is, and will team with Doring this week. ~The new extended X-Division includes the ladies as well. New diva Nidia has made a special challenge to Shannon Ward. That special challenge being a Bra and Panties Match. A little eye candy will be provided in the Asylum this week. ~Also, a four way dance sees Nova meet Slash, Jonny Storm and Kid Romeo.
