This is the same company who were 'smart' enough to do a skit with a midget beating off in a trashcan. Plus, you're dealing with a man who has an inflated sense of his own importance, who is also friends with the man running the show. Do you even realise how long ago that was? And do you even realise that RUSSO WASN'T AROUND FOR THAT. God, it annoys me when people like you just hate on Russo because you don't know the facts, and you think 'OH IT RUSSO...HE MAKEY DECISIONS STUPID...ROFLMAOFOLMAO!!!!!' Anyway, it's Jeff Hardy or D-Lo.

Kevin Nash.....versus.....Kane..... This is going to suck worse than Triple H-Nash. And why? Because Kane interfered in the first Bad Blood Hell In A Cell? That is just...just...dumb.
-
Well, it was better than...Oh, Lesnar versus Show. World Title...Smackdown. I wonder who'll win this. Fact is, someone would have moaned whatever had happened. And fact is, AS doesn't like Big Show, and the ring imploding after a superplex will not change that. And Show is not the worst wrestler ever. When he's motivated, he is better than many people. And to take that bump puts him above quite a few people. For a guy who weighs 500 pounds, that's an impressive thing to do, for both Lesnar and Show.

World Heavyweight Title match, Hell in a Cell, Mick Foley guest referee TRIPLE H (-300) vs. KEVIN NASH (+220) $150 on HHH Intercontinental Title Match BOOKER T (-200) vs. CHRISTIAN (+170) $200 on ChrisTIAN World Tag Team Title Match LA RESISTANCE (-140) vs. RVD/KANE (+120) $450 on Baguette Boys GOLDBERG (-550) vs. CHRIS JERICHO (+375) $300 on Goldberg SHAWN MICHAELS (-200) vs. RIC FLAIR (+170) $150 on Flair SCOTT STEINER (-220) vs. TEST (+180) $500 on Test THE DUDLEY BOYS (-110) vs. RODNEY MACK/CHRIS NOWITZKI (-110) $250 on Nowinski and Mack And $410 left un used. This PPV isn't exactly predictable in many places, so I've been conservative.

Simple question...what was the best Hardcore Title match ever in the WWE/F history? I'm not gonna poll it cause there's a whole load of possibilities...my pick, RVD vs Y2J from Unforgiven 2001. Rhyno vs Raven was good, but didn't go as long as RVD/Y2J did.
-
By putting David Arquette and Russo on a WCW Title video, Vince can further bury WCW. Nuff said. I already called Rhyno-Benoit for the US Title at Vengeance in the spoilers thread. It seems the only logical thing to do. Seeing as Eddie is Tag Champ, Matt is going after Rey and the Cruiser Title. Although saying that, WWE doesn't always go for logical. They could always have the final of the almost inevitable tournament as Mysterio vs Ultimo...
-
If they're honest, both. Goldberg's been getting more used to WWE now, and has been better booked recently. But Jericho will make him look great. As far as the main event goes, it's Hell in a Cell. It covers up for the lack of wrestling skill from Nash and reduced skill of HHH(come on, at least he can do an indian deathlock. More than Nash.) HHH is gonna blade big time to put his buddy over, Foley will bump big time to put them both over. My prediction...if anyone goes on top of the cell, it means Foley is going for a ride.

I never got this. Surely if Big Show called Lesnar out to the ring next Thursday, cheap shotted and pinned him he'd be the World Champion. Technically the match never ended. Technically the match is still going on right now. Obviously it's not, but in kayfabe terms the match never finished. Of course in kayfabe terms, the HHH/Booker T HV Title Match from Raw before Backlash is still going on, so there ya go.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read): From Smackdown Spoilers on Prowrestling.com 4) Chris Benoit & Rhyno vs. Doug & Dave Basham (w/ Shaniqua) The Bashams have gotten themselves a valet, and it's none other than Linda Miles! This was a pretty decent match, with Rhyno taking a beating. Chris goes up top for the flying headbutt, and Linda tries to interfere. He just kicks her away, but he misses the headbutt. The match ends with Rhyno accidentally punching Benoit in the face, and one of the Bashams pins Benoit. After the match, he's not a happy camper. So there ya go...

Obviously, since he was curtain-jerking, he is a low-carder and is being buried. Opening matches and losers? Like hands and gloves and hands in gloves. Isn't the point of curtain jerking putting out more popular wrestlers not needed at the end of the show, and the popular wrestlers then get the crowd fired up from the start? And correct me if I'm wrong, but the crowd had already gone through Heat too. RVD used to curtain jerk to get the crowd pumped up early for the show. They tried to do the same with Goldberg. Or alternatively, they booked the show half an hour in advance, and Goldberg's match was the first to come up.
-
Oh boy...Benoit jobbed because they're trying to put over a new team and create some challengers for Los Guerreros. They're trying to push the Bashams, and to do so they put them over the Smackdown tag division...including Benoit and Rhyno. It's not that big of a deal US Title coming back. Benoit vs Rhyno should finally happen now. At least it'd give the upper midcard more of a point. Dunno why but the US Title always seemed more important than the IC Title. Even after David Flair's reign. And oh, nothing can defeat Taz and Bigelow going through the ring. Nothing. Just the pure shock of it, and the fact they just dissapeared under the ring while everyone's cheering their asses off. Plus they had a tag match right after, with a corner of the ring blown out. God I miss ECW...

Wait...you really think that Foley didn't want to bump. Mick Foley has done this for years. I don't know him, but I suspect he still loves bumping. Why? The crowd reaction. It's why Rock can't stay away, it's why Austin can't stay away...it's why Hogan, Flair and Funk are still going. Foley wanted to bump. If he didn't he wouldn't be back, and hell the WWE are just gonna have Foley not bump? We'll see at HIAC if he does all the bumping or not. And to everybody who says we're hypocrites or whatever for hating Foley, or at least feeling bad about him, for coming back after all the time he spent dissing the product, I cry FAVOURITISM!!!!! When SABLE did it, it was wrong. When PIPER did it it was wrong. People are saying the same about STING possibly doing it, after all his religious preachings. I like Foley as much as the next guy. I mark for the guy and feel he played a huge role in making wrestling what it is today. But the fact is, he did the same as Sable and Piper did, and the same that Sting will do when he signed, and that's go back on his words. And that's the only problem I have with this whole situation. I realise he wanted to come back, but it came after ripping into the product which to my is hypocricy. Oh, and I wanna see how HHH puts over Nash. Seriously. HHH is gonna have to carry him, and I can't wait to see him try. So sue me...
-
Yeah, but this is a Raw PPV. They've got to have the filler material. And hell, they need a reason for Austin to be on the pay roll.
-
Welcome to Markville, population you.
-
Well...she's back. But with Rico? I might have to watch just to see 'Screamin' Norman' again, and for Scoot Andrews on the show.
-
Thousands of Brits...who then realise the card has been changed (as always) and that Vince really doesn't give a damn about the Brit PPV's.
-
They actually announced all of the matches for the Insurextion 2001 PPV. And then, on the night of the show they changed EVERY match apart from the main event, which was Taker vs Austin and HHH. So to say Vince doesn't really give a damn about these PPV's is an understatement. But usually, they are announced somewhere. Just not on U.S.A shows, so they don't confuse all the American fans into thinking there's (another) PPV they forgot about.
-
It's more fun than being a smark. Seriously, if you were a mark right now you'd be more likely to enjoy HHH's matches, so more likely to enjoy more matches means more enjoyment, less to bitch about...so basically, it's better. Watching the Rumble as a mark was more enjoyable than watching Mania as a smark.

It's funny...a guy comes in an you're all like 'Oh, he's a gimmick poster' and you all act like his view is pointless...yet the thread has made it to 3 pages. As it always seems to when newbies write something controversial. Yet we ALL know it's a gimmick poster. Lol...
-
He was upset with the direction and how misused everybody, especially him, was. Yet guess who's done a 'Sable' and come back. So much for morals over money or book sales.
-
Dunno whever he's used it in WWE, but Tajiri's move he used to do on Crazy in ECW(and vice versa) was brutal. Can't remember the name(sure someone else will), but it's when you step on the insides of the guys knees, hook his feet round the other side of your legs and sits back. Tajiri used to do that so the guy was on his knees, legs hooked back...and then locked on a dragon sleeper with it. Haas of Pain looks pretty damn brutal, but the Chickenwing has to be the best for the way hardly nobody escaped from it during Backlund's times at the top.
-
The 92 one especially is a classic. 98 onthe other hand was one of the worst matches in wrestling history, on one of the worst PPV's in wrestling history. Get together two teams of four X Division stars...the guys who made TNA like Killings, Styles and Lynn...and they'd be on to a winner.

It's happened before...which is the problem. Rock's heel, and the people love him because he always seems to come up with soemthign fresh as a heel. Vince hears the pops and just HAS to turn him. Fans get bored of face Rock after a good few months, and eventually he goes off the boil. He goes off for a while, and eventually Vince has to turn him heel. Repeat ad nauseum till Rock retires for good. Vince knows Rock as face was his most successful venture money wise. The merchandise, the ticket sales, the movies and mainstream attention. So obviously he wants to recapture it. Trouble is, it won't work.

Greatest Gimmicks in WWE(F) history
King Cucaracha replied to LooseCannon25's topic in The WWE Folder
You gotta admit Pete Gas was the man I still mark for the juice job he did at WM2000 in the battle royal. Taz could have got hella over in WWF if he didn't end up with the Bossman feud. Same for Raven with his jobbing to Lawler. But they don't realy count, as they were ECW gimmicks. All the ones said before of course, especially the almighty Posse...and Kaientai. Evil Kaientai had acres of comedy potential. A few Los Guerreros style skits and they would have been over as hell. And Dibiase could have been the top dog in wrestling. Hell, when Virgil turned on him the crowd reactions made him almost top heel, behind Savage/Slaughter. -
Can't believe nobody's brought up this week's potential bait and switch...isn't Rocky off filming his movie right now? Maybe I'm wrong. But I smell a bait and switch.
