Video clip from tomorrow nights SD show...

I believe that's in reference to Goldberg vs Bret Hart. Yeah, some people seem to want to mention that everytime they're on here I guess. Someone should do that in EVERY folder. 'Dude, my girlfriend just split up with me' 'Should'a kicked her in the head like Goldberg did to Bret.' I wouldn't be surprised to see someone do that actually... Off topic and I'm gonna get critisised probably, but what the hey...it was an accident. I'm a Bret Hart fan, have been for years. But it was an accident. As for Lesnar...Lesnar's new entrance is awesome. When he leaps onto the apron, and the pyros go off from the ring posts...AWESOME! lol.

    WWE Survey at S!D taping

-Do you enjoy watching established superstars i.e. Rock, Triple H, Austin, Undertaker? That's a mixed bag...I enjoy Rock and Taker more than Austin and HHH. Putting them together, it's like do you like Rock more than you hate Triple H. -Do you enjoy watching younger stars i.e. Cena, Matt Hardy, Brock? God I hope everyone put Yes. -Would you rather see differnet nationalities or races portrayed in the WWE? Depends whats meant by 'portrayed'. As long as it's not totally offensive. -Would you like to see new divas? New as in Sable? How about Gail Kim. -Would you like to see more older superstars i.e. Hogan, Flair, Piper? In non wrestling roles, sure as hell. Bring back Foley as Al Snow's manager and I'd be happy. -Would you rather see more sexual content? No cause it has nothing to do with anything in ring style. -Would you rather see more in-ring action? Better quality...sure. -Would you rather see more back stage drama? Drama? Comedy would be good. -Would you like to see bigger i.e. Brock Lesnar superstars? If they're booked right, I could cope with almost anyone. Fans who completed the survey were given a free issue of WWE Magazine. Reports from those in attendance indicate that most fans just marked anything on the survey to get the free magazine. Ooooh GREAT! Expect things to get much worse if this is the case, and Vince actually takes note. The first chance Vince has given for feedback, and the dumb marks(mainly, I'm sure) waste it. Great.

We Need Jeff Hardy In TNA

Jeff Hardy would probably only bring in the screaming teen fans. TNA doesn't need a bunch of fans who scream their asses off for Hardy all through his match, and then go silent for the rest of the show cause they 'don't like wrestling, they like Jeff'. I doubt he'd have the passion for the business anyway.

If we can be POSITIVE for a minute...

Isn't that what happens with the inexperienced wrestlers. They have the 'veterans' make up for their lack of experience by carrying them through the match. Thus teaching them new stuff to help them develop, thus making them look better which is what is supposed to happen, and thus allowing them to use thier athletic ability without worrying about screwing up the other team too much. They're still green. I'm not saying they're the best team in the world...I doubt anyone is. They're overhyped rookies sure, but they're talented ones.

If we can be POSITIVE for a minute...

I'm not being an apologetic if I'm saying he's not doing the smart thing. I'm just saying, there's not much you can do to stop him from doing what he does. Oh, and it COULD be worse.

    You all got your wish...

Yeah well, he'll beat Rock at Backlash. All is not lost for Goldberg.

Booker T will never win the title

Giving the belt to non deserving tomatoe cans is what killed the wCw. The mini groups didn't help, neither did Russo, but it wasn't the nWo. Giving the belt to no talented mid carders didn't help any either. Wow, I've been waiting for someone to blame Russo. He usually gets blamed. Hey, for a selfish company with a roster full of selfish wrestlers, they sure made a lot of stars up in Dubya Cee Dubya. Booker T- Tag Team Jobber all the way through to DESERVING champion. DDP- From manager, to jobber, all the way through to World's Champion. Scott Steiner- From Great Tag Star, to main eventer and World Champ after he came back from WWF. Goldberg- Right from debuting he was given the push. And of course, there's Sting. I think you'd count Vader too. They tried it with Ron Simmons too. Didn't work of course, but WCW tried to make home-grown stars. A little off topic, but then again the topic is pretty pointless.

    WWE Promos

Vince-"If you people don't shut up, you won't get an XFL franchise next season!" The thing that makes this quote. The XFL didn't last another year. More XFL... Cena "You're just another bad idea, like the X...F...L." Piper to Vince "Look at those broad shoudlers you got there huh? You're about ready to play football. Yeah...how about some XFL!" Vince's smiling face turns to humilitation... At least Vince can laugh at himself. I guess... Foley(In Hartford), "Right here, in front of my Ivy Leauge friends, finally, Mankind, has come back to Harvard." King, "Harvard? It's Hartford you idiot." JR, "He means Yale...god bless him he's trying. Foley, "The DOZENS..." Fans, "AND DOZENS" Foley, "And dozens of Mankind's fans." And of course Foley, "Michael Cole, know your mouth, and SHUT...your role." Also on that show(not exact)... Rock, "Kane, you come out here, your music hits, there's fire shooting out of the posts, fire shooting out of your ass! And suddenly, you're doing jumping jacks, you're happy because...Kane can finally talk. The Big Red Retard can finally speak! Well, The Rock says how about you come out here, and The Rock will let you speak, so you can say this. (In Kane imitation voice)My name is Kane (fans cheer and Rock stops for a while) And I am a roody-poo, candy ass! So Kane, you come out using your little voice gimmick, and you have left The Rock with one choice as to what to do with it. The Rock's gonna take that voice gimmick..shake all the batteries out...lube it up, turn that sumbitch sideways, and stick it straight up your candy ass!" X-Pac as Shamrock in the Corporation parody-"It's five knuckle shuffle time!" Rock after the Corporation parody "The Rock said it before, and he'll say it again You go one on one with The Great One, gonna make your monkey ass famous, tonight, World Title Match. For now Triple H, the Rock says Whatcha gonna do, when the 24.... no, wait, that's not it, that's not it. Oh, this is it, this is it. To be the man, Whoooooo! You gotta beat... no, that's not it, that's not it. Oh, this is it. Ooooohhhh yeah, dig... no, dammit, that's not it either. "

A "WWE Fan" has had enough...

Ok, if someone speaks up, and Vince listens...what's gonna happen? If he dumps his writing team, what'll he do then. Employ the guy/guys who changed his mind obviously. Who would then be expected to put on 5 star shows and increase ratings/takings ten-fold. This/these guys would no doubt have bad ideas. Hell I'm sure if we had the book, we'd all do something wrong. Even if Vince does realise something's wrong, and does change it, the thing is it may not help that much. There's a downside to everything. EVERYTHING! As for May 5th, I'm sure HHH, Nash, Goldberg and the rest could give a flying crap about a bunch of us smarks turning off. When HHH gets home/to the hotel/wherever with Stephanie, with his title belt over his shoudler and a hot woman on his arm, is he going to be worried about a few ratings points? To quote The Rock..."Nah". I doubt it'll make that much of a difference. As for the problem...problem is we need something fresh. Dunno about you, but nothing shocks me nowadays. Back as a kid, things shocked me. Everytime Hogan got into a feud with a new big man, it's obvious looking back there seemed to be a killer beatdown. Savage, Bundy, Earthquake, Zeus, Bossman, Andre, Slaughter...each one shocked the fans, including me. SS 97, that was a shock. Nothing's suprising now, as we've seen it all before. If Cena were to beat Lesnar at Backlash, it wouldn't exactly be shocking, but it wouldn't have that impact. Mankind beating Rock on Raw, it was shocking. Austin attacks, not shocking anymore. But back in 99, whenever that glass broke the fans, including me watching popped. We've seen it all before. Wrestling's been pretty popular world wide since the late 80's. It's been aroudn before then of course, but most of the target audience on TNN/Spike TV is the 20 year old's, right? That's about 1980's. For those who've been watching since then, the drama's going from wrestling. The last time I really felt that drama was the Dudleyz reunion. It needs something shocking. Nothing's that shocking anymore, nothing has the drama. The Internet doesn't help sure, but even without the internet, it wouldn't be as shocking as it all used to be. They need to change. I don't know how, but they need to. Going back to basics and concentrating more on storylines would help. We don't need the Shock TV type storylines. They try to be shocking. Real shocks would be like Shawn Michaels throwing Marty through the barber shop window. The Rockers had been together since...for ever. That was shocking. Bret turning on America and reforming the Hart Foundation after his long feud with Bulldog and Owen. It was a shock, because it was built up properly. But again, we've seen it all before. Too many title changes during the InVasion killed the belts' credibility. Too many character changes in the past 5 years or so has killed the shock on that too. I can't think of a proper solution. I'm sure quite a few of us couldn't either. It's easy to find the bad in everything, as I've said, there's a downside to everything. Finding the problem is easy, finding the solution is the hard part. And one I don't think any of us could really find it.

    Hogan

    1) Wasn't Hogan the guy who brought in The Big Show to WCW cause he had talent? That's all I'm saying. 2) Hogan and Goldberg are big buddies. He would say that. 3) I'm worried about this Mr America thing. It's either gonna be like Brian Pillman as the Yellow Dog, only with Hogan. Which wouldn't be so bad. OR, it's gonna be Ed Leslie, Honky Tonk Man, Big Bossman, The Patriot(I wouldn't be suprised) or of course, Hacksaw Jim Duggan. I'm scared...

Road Dogg to a clueless cop, in a cop car, I think in Times Square. "Listen I swear, the body was dead when I got there..." That's the only one I can remember right now from D-X. McMahon: "I'm attempting to get Jake "The Snake" Roberts on the phone right now." LAWLER: "What are you going to do McMahon? Tell him that you are a bar tender?" Rock on commentary during one of his matches. Rock, "Look at that. It looks like a monkey just walked out here, took a crap, and out popped Mankind!"

    I just saw Michaels/Jarrett

Pettingil is GOD! The way Vince keeps pimping up the guitarist as if he's some sort of star is both funny and typical mid 90's commentary Vince. Oh, and the backing singers didn't seem in tune...AT ALL! The song's pretty decent I guess, and Road Dogg's a surprisingly good singer, but those backing singers? Also worth mentioning...after the match, when Dok 'Don't call me Freebird' Hendrik was informing us of the Jarrett/Roadie fight, and he starts going CRAZY...that's one of those thigns you don't know whever to laugh at, or be shocked at.

If we can be POSITIVE for a minute...

WTF are you talking about? I don't think anyone here would give a shit if Crips was demoted to midcard and he started burying lower midcarders, the reason people can't stand this guy is because he sucks in the ring and hasn't drawn a dime since he came back from his injury , the only reason he is being pushed against our will is b/c he is banging the bosses daughter and he is a member of the Clique. If Benoit was the World champ and he was still busting his ass night in and night out and making his opponents look like a million bucks then the fans would still love this guy. Hasn't drawn a dime sicne his return. I think the MSG event where HHH returned counts. Sure, he's nowhere near as ood as he used to be, but I find him watchable. As for Benoit, there's altready people with a problem with him over his lack of 'character', which I don't really see as he's not THAT bad at talking. Now, as for what I like...lol, I forgot that was the point of the thread. Team Angle, all three of them. Lesnar's character beginning to show through. Rey Mysterio's possible push. Brian Kendrick actually being used on Smackdown. Mattitude and his MFer. The Los Guerreros and F.B.I vignettes. O'Haire giving Piper a reason for being around. Tajiri. The whole 'how can we keep Jones out of big matches' debacle on Smackdown. Booker T and Jericho... The Women's Title situation, and the fact they're getting good storylines. Goldust's tourette's...funny. Teddy Long's over-use of the word 'playa' and invnetion of the word 'haterising'. Christian actually getting on Raw. RVD with a title belt. The Kane/RVD odd couple. Morley with soemthing to do. The way they're playing the Dudleyz/Morley/RVD and Kane storyline. It's getting a little old, but they're doing it right. Tazz and Cole on commentary. John Cena. Hopefully this is the beginning of his evolving. The Benoit-Rhyno partnership. Nowinski. Richards and Victoria. NWA TNA is doing well. Jerry Lynn. Red and Kash's high spot style The mini ECW revival around TNA. D-LO!!! Gilberti and Sanders on the mic. The past two TNA shows. XPW is gone. ROH is still around. And the fact that soon enough, Edge and Angle will be back. I'm sure I've missed some stuff, but hey it's not important.
  19. King Cucaracha

If we can be POSITIVE for a minute...

I'm an ECW mark, so I enjoyed most of the years. I haven't seen that much from 94/95 though, so I can't comment on that... Although I will comment on the ORIGINAL topic. Which was if I'm not mistaken what you actually like...Sakura take note...what you LIKE. So therefore we are not aplogetics if we actually like some stuff, jst cause we like it we don't condone the way the company has gone DOWN from 2000. We're just saying what we actually like. Does that make us apologetics...NO! The whole 'You like that? You like something in the WWE, Vince's company...DAMN YOU' stuff around here some of the time is getting pretty boring. I know it's not that blatant and all, but that's the way it feels. It's not us trying our best to defend Vince. If anything, most of the naysayers around here are constantly trying to find stuff to hate. If HHH was suddenly busted down to mid carder, would the people who say they're sick of him being in the main event be happy. Hell no, they'd complain he's putting down all the lower midcarders. Hell, he'd probably be holding down someone if he was jobbing on Heat. If someone like Benoit wont he World Title, eventually most people would try and put down Benoit. 'Oh, he uses the German Suplex too much'. 'Oh he doesn't have enough charisma.' WWE is how it is, and if Vince doesn't want to do the smart thing and listen to us, it's his choice I guess...Get over it!
  20. Lol, I always do that! -When you're standing at the bus stop, and as the bus is pulling up you do the 'Lesnar happy dance', before leaping onto the bus ala Lesnar. -When for no reason you do the Mattitude sign, or god forbid, the HBK Stripper dance mannerisms -When you try putting the Ankle Lock on someone in a fight, and try desperatly to hurt them with it...doesn't work well, believe me. -When an old lady falls over in the street, you have the urge to chant 'You Fucked Up...You Fucked Up'. -Feather boas don't seem gay to you...well as gay. -You start 'hulk posing' after scoring a goal/touchdown/homerun/whatever. -You follow up questions with 'Oh Hell Yeah' -You sing cool wrestling songs NO-ONE has heard off...example 'Live for the Moment' by Monster Magnet. -You actually invision your wrestling career when you're bored And of course... -You go through hundreds of shirts a year because you keep tearing them open.

Funaki & Tajiri to get pushed soon?

If they were getting a push, then surely they would'a followed up on the Team Angle-Tajiri/Funaki Tag Title Match on SD a couple of weeks ago. That was a great match, and surely Vince will have recognise that... Nah. Tajiri deserves a push though. A proper push. Hell, after the crap they've pulled with him, he's still over. And Funaki...well, I mark for Funaki. Funaki/Tajiri vs Team Angle would be a good idea. Which I why I doubt it'll happen.

    Minor observations from Raw...

He always looks so god damned scared for some reason. Tough Enough's concept is pretty pointless when you think about it. Nowinski is on Raw fighting a former WCW World Champion, the actual winner Maven is fighting 3MW. And Nidia is Torrie's job bitch. The TE2 winners are off screen. Josh Matthews is Smackdown announcer. Hell, you're btter off NOT winning it. Kinda like every Reality T.V show then...

Rock's pre-Summerslam vs Billy Gunn speech to 'God' 'God'-Bob... 'Billy'(Rock in a really squeaky voice)-But my name is Bill.. 'God'-IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS!!! Angle-Word on the street is that I, Kurt Angle, am...'All That'.

    I just saw Michaels/Jarrett

I was watching it this morning, and well it makes you wonder if they were going to put Jarrett over, and if not why not. Well, judging from the main event we know why not, but there ya go. Awesome match.

    New Backlash card

Downhome...Jago...I agree. Apart from Mark Henry. He's a funny comedy performer when he gets the chance. I don't mean May Young and Sammy though. Like with Chyna. He could work as a comedy wrestler if Vince wasn't so determined to ruin him. Spike's better off in ECW where he could bump his ass off. Like you guys, I only hate a few wrestlers really. I can watch an A-Train match. Rikishi isn't that bad. I don't mind Big Show either...when they're all booked ok that is. Lol, I tried to say that before but it looked like I went off on one over the HHHate. Lol, and you sum it up two sentences. I like Sean O'Haire. He's an agile big man, so he's gonna get a push. He's got enough charisma etc. I agree with AS though...he needs to learn when to use his gimmick, and now how to adapt it. Anyway, I'm not too fussed about the card. It doesn't look great. Well, on paper it looks pretty bad. Can see from the under card that Rock-Goldberg is going to be a long one. Anyway, on with the...err...analysis. *Rock vs. Bill Goldberg People say The Rock is gonna carry this. Probably will. But the point is, he'll be bumping his ass off. Goldberg will bust out the power moves, and eventually win. It's almost a certainty Goldberg'll win. *Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena or Chris Benoit (taped last night, check spoilers if you're interested in outcome) Should be interesting. See if Lesnar can carry the match. *Booker T & Kevin Nash & Shawn Michaels vs. HHH & Ric Flair & Chris Jericho Ok, the HHHate and Nash hate is off the charts around here, so forgive me for saying this should be interesting. No 5 star classic, but it'll be a good match to watch from a storyline POV. *Team Angle vs. Los Guerreros for tag titles This seems a little rushed, but it'll be a solid match *Trish Stratus vs. Jazz for womens title Should have went for the 3 Way Intergender Tag idea. We need Steven and Victoria! Oh, and Mack and Jeff. This'll be solid enough too though. *Sean O'Haire vs. Rikishi Talk about rushed. This match is only here to build up a pointless Piper return. No reason for it. No reason for the Rikishi attack...it's like Vince said on Smackdown a couple of weeks back...'Hogan, I'll turn the clock back 20 years if I have to.' Congrats Vince, you're nearly there. *Rey Mysterio vs. Big Show This one seems pretty obvious who'll win. Remember the tourney on Smackdown, where Taker shook Rey's hand. Rey's getting pushed. This is porbably just to build him up as a giant killer. I'm presuming a three-way with Dudleys vs. Storm & Morley vs. Van Dam & Kane for Raw tag titles I should hope so! Ok, so what about Benoit and Rhyno? What about Matt and Kendrick? I guess F.B.I vs Taker and Jones has been put on hold cause of Taker's elbow surgery. No Stevie and Victoria. No Hurricane. No Hardy. Possibly no RVD and Kane. It could be better, but hell it's obviously a bit of a throw-away show anyway. I'll be watching as ever...but then, I do get the PPV's for free so there.
