Did you know ... ... the human head weighs 8lbs ... ... my neighbor has three rabbits ... I could see Kidman doing a "Dawson's Creek" / "Growing Pains" show ... but only if he gets to play the Mike Seaver role

Shamrock beat the Rock plenty of times ... they were just reversed aside from KOTR 98. Good pick for Warrior. I recently downloaded a promo he cut on Hercules in the spring of 88. "NOTHING HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED BETWEEN YOU AND I, HERCULES ... WE BOTH KNOW THAT ... BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH ... BIG WORDS ... I DROPPED MAJOR ACID 5 MINUTES AGO ... I AM THE WALRUS, COO COO CACHOO ... GRRRRRRRRRRR!" ...Incoherent much? I believe there was a running claim about 6-7 years ago that Bret Hart had never lost a steel cage match. Then, of course, he loses one to Sid on Raw. I loved how everytime Perfect hit the Perfect Plex, the announcers would blow their load about how no one has ever kicked out of it. By the time Bret did it at Summer Slam 91, Hogan, Warrior, and Piper had done the same on TV.

Unless you can get it on a website like Slam! Wrestling, past articles from newspapers can cost quite a bit to access.

Oh I'd def go with Bigelow. Loved his matches with Bret.

How recent are you looking? I think the WWE has pretty much fallen under the radar of the media with all that's going on in the world.

As far as RVD / Kane ... a few weeks ago I was pushing for one to turn on the other which would lead to a WrestleMania bout ... but now I'm very luke warm after seeing their bout on Raw a while back.

LOL I never knew Hogan was supposed to be involved. "Well, here's the thing little dude. All those people that paid for their tickets thought I was going to be there. There was a near riot when Ric Flair showed up, brother! They were standing in line to get their refunds, man."
-
I say (and yes, I'm aware that I'm just a simple fan that doesn't know what is good for him), hold off Taker vs. Show until Mania. Then put some quality wrestlers in their place at No Way Out.
-
"Oh dude ... I've had such a career, I don't know what my best moment would be. But if I had to pick one, little man, I'd probaby go with WrestleMania III. Picture this, brother ... me slamming the 800lb Andre the Giant in the center of the ring with 100,000 fans looking on at the Pontiac Silverdome. Sends a chill down my spine to this day, little dude." Anything Triple H says about himself. The man loves giving himself a metaphorical blow job every Monday night.

No Bill DeMott? BLASPHEMY!

Nailz Bradshaw (when he's not fat) Marty Jannetty The Mountie ... or any incarnation of Jacques Rougeau Papa Shango Sean O'Haire - even back in the New Blood era And... Even though he wasn't bottom of the barrel, he def is a cult favorite...Ludvig Borga!

Ah, the life of the underappreciated young high flyer...

I'm still waiting for a Sunny Playboy circa 1996.

I'd go along with that. Wrestling def got me into journalism, at least to a degree.

I know there was a thread up quite a while back that dealt with stuff like "I slap my gum like Mr. Perfect" ... "I do the bad ass motherfucker walk like Stone Cold" ... etc. I'm not talking about that. How has wrestling - whether directly or indirectly - gained your interest in other things? For instance ... After the 1992 Bret Hart music video "Makin Some Noise" by Tom Petty - I became a big Tom Petty fan After I watched an Andy Kaufman TV special back in 95 and learned of his feud with Jerry Lawler, I became a big Kaufman fan When Jesse Ventura was elected governor of Minnesota, I became interested in politics For YEARS after seeing Summer Slam 92 (still my favorite PPV of all time) ... as well as Monty Python & the Holy Grail ... I begged my parents to let me go with them whenever my dad would go to London on a business trip. I finally got there, about a year and a half ago, on the morning of 9/11 I think I've learned the correct spelling of every major city in America and am very aware of many of the arenas in North America rich in wrestling history (MSG, Cow Palace, Nassau, Meadowlands, Maple Leaf Gardens, etc)

I assume he knew something was up.

I'm talking about what sent Crpl. Kirshner to Japan in the first place. He was psuedo-mid card in 86 and then - BAM - gone. As far as Roma ... I didn't think Alex Wright even had credibility at that time! (not sure if he does now either) As I remember, that wasn't the best match ever ... I just placed the blame on Wright.

I was about 6 at that time and I nearly cried when I saw that happen. Bret was always my favorite and anybody who fought against him was evil in my eyes. I second that.

Question: If there is a First Evil ... can't there be a First Good?

Another great episode. Giles' little pictures were hilarious - especially since I downloaded "Hush" just earlier today. Amanda (nerd SiT) looks a lot better without glasses. She was also in "Help Me" from earlier this season ... not sure if anyone caught that (the one where Cassie died). Andrew rules the school. If there is a spin-off, he MUST be in it. "Ah, Capt. Archer..." I was really hoping the First / Jonathan didn't make Andrew do anything bad and thus make him be killed by the Scoobies. I also caught the fact that the previous slayer was not the same actress. In a very nerdish manner, I scoffed at my TV. But hey ... Spike killed the Principal's mommy ... can you smell the drama? Maybe Spike should tell him she "begged for her life". Asian SiT has comedic appeal ... but we all know she'll be the first to die when Armageddon comes to Sunnydale (the non-Jerry Bruckheimer-produced one).

The Buffy / Angel crossovers begin in episode 3. That's the ep where.... SPOILERS Oz brings Angel the ring that will make him invincable (can be in daylight, can be staked, etc and nothing will kill him) and Spike comes to LA trying to get it back.

Each DVD only has ONE episode? What the hell is that? Wonder if Belafonte refers to Kermit as a "house frog" (political news reference!)
-
Anyone else pick this up yet? I believe it was about $45 at Wal-Mart. Longtime Buffy fan but I just got into Angel over the past few weeks. Felt it be best that I start with the beginning since I've only seen "I Will Remember You" from the first season (loved it). Haven't gotten into the special features yet but I saw the first two episodes. Gotta love Joss & Co.'s writing. Question for anyone who's pretty die-hard Buffy / Angel. At the end of the first episode, Angel called Buffy and hung up on her (classic ex behavior). Did that ever appear in a Buffy ep? It would be Season 4 of that series.

How did you expect them to make a Video when the news wasn't broke until about 6 o clock PM? They have freaking magicians over at the production department. If they can put together a 5-minute music video at the end of WrestleMania X-7, they can put together a 90-second tribute in 4-5 hours easy. I learned of it at about 4pm yesterday. Maybe on Smackdown...

Haven't read it myself, just skimmed through. Seemed like it was big on being anti-WWF.
