Vince was a big Tajiri fan in 2004 or so.

The what match looks really good? (hint hint)
-
Mike Adamle is a goof though. However, I'd like to think they're smart enough to not treat BOTH of their world titles (sorry ECW) like the hardcore title joke, so I'll stick with the "officially recognized champion" line as meaning it's the only title change.
-
Star ratings are totally subjective and mean nothing in the long run, but I'd go somewhere in the middle. I didn't think it was bad at all but maybe I was expecting the worst match ever.

Judgment Day and Vengeance did see a wide DVD release in Canada but this was when Koch Video was roughly a month (or two) behind US schedule. I can't speak for nationwide but it seemed like they were still doing more VHS than DVD in 2002, but my only evidence for this is that I don't own Vengeance 2002 on DVD and had to settle for the VHS tape.

The gravy line got quite the reaction in the audience I was in. I really enjoyed the movie and can't really add anything that hasn't already been said. It was a bit weird seeing Danny McBride and Bill Hader in movies two weeks a in row though, but good stuff.

Church collection plate. After all, you've been blessed.

The OAO TSM "Happy Birthday, you!" Thread

HB to cabbageboy who is now 29. Almost 30. -
Because Mike Adamle is a crazy GM! Wait, he was just reading that announcement from Shane and Stephanie... maybe he'll be added next week? The scenario for Shawn / Jericho lends itself pretty poorly to have a match at Unforgiven. Had they rushed the build and had Michaels immediately renounce his decision to retire and attack Jericho, fine, but he's still sitting at home comforting his family waiting until "and then..." to happen. With 2 weeks until the PPV, they shouldn't just hastily add the match.

I was actually thinking just that while watching SummerSlam.

Sorry but 24/7 is serious business.
-
They 24/7 commercials showcase segments that are actually on the channel at the time instead of weekly history blurbs that aren't even on the channel like they used to do. I really love this added push for people to order 24/7, it's really quite the great service. Why were people still asking what D'Lo did to earn a title shot? They immediately rescinded the "title defense" comment from Cole when Lawler called him an idiot and Cole apologized for being too "into the moment". The Unforgiven match is confusing as they've said both "the match can have multiple title changes" and "the end of the match signifies the official champion". Hopefully, like people have assumed but with Adamle you never know what he's supposed to be saying, the deal is nothing counts until the end.

The 2001 Jericho edits are the best just because of the huge change of direction that occurs. Rhyno get's Irish whipped away form the set than towards it in the same shot.

The thread's closed, but here's a follow-up on the odd story about Jeff Hardy's neck from the F4W Newsletter:

I'd also like to point out the Ric Flair theme issue was going on a lot with 2002/2003 DVD releases as I recall and was an edit on the original issue of SummerSlam 2002, so they likely just reused that.

Not enough of you have Bionic Commando: Rearmed.

What's this about Niger? My classmates seemed to think that was quite the hilarious name for a country back in grade school.

This was a chore to read through. Thank you for being worthwhile, RedJed. You may smoke things I don't approve of, but if it helps you be positive and think clearly instead of infesting threads with dreck and hate, so be it. Dude even tries to make sense out of TNA! Anyway, this was a good show. I wasn't looking forward to it and had no intentions of ordering it, but this morning I realized with a router and what not I have the power to watch downloaded videos on my TV via the Xbox, so hooray for that. Whoever made the comment about it looking like Cena was about to hit a flying rana, I thought the same thing - that was great. I think Meltzer went a bit overboard with his feelings on the HIAC match but it WAS good. HHH/Khali was a miracle and JBL/Punk was much better than I thought it would be.

I got a wireless router last week and am officially in the game! Sign me up for TSM VC Secret Santa 2008.

I remember him working at Uncensored 99... I don't even remember the opponent, but at the time I thought it was dreadfully dull. Edit: It was against Billy Kidman and was 15 minutes long. I think at that point, whenever I caught WCW, I found it really odd they'd give midcarders such a long match. I remember seeing a Benoit/Malenko vs. Duncam Jr./Partner match that the latter team was in no way going to win, but it seemingly went on forever. Maybe I'd enjoy these matches now... or maybe they really were boring.

Petrie's recaps are also the ones at The Other Arena (until CRZ takes over) so we're all reading the same thing. I actually read them as a review of the show more than a "what was edited" guide, but it does work both ways.

I like people speculating on "the big spot" when there hasn't been one in a Cell match in almost 8 years.

Jericho/Mikey was fun while it lasted too.

That's actually a good point but I don't have them on Cogeco either. Then again, I didn't get those free Mania matches either so I don't know how that works. I DO know that because of the odd schedules, the Shorties change over tonight. -
I really like No Mercy 99. I remember liking Backlash too.
