DER BERGER was a running bit in my circle of friends for a few months. I have no idea why.

WWE General Discussion - February 2009

Don't be startin an e-beef with NYankees in these parts, Brother Moose. -
I heard James Rolfe was interviewed for that. I could probably mention this in the actual movie thread but while I'm here, why is it being called "Friday the THIRTEEN" in ads? Is it not cool to add "th" to dates now? Maybe I'm just hearing it wrong, but I swear they dropped the 'th'.

I haven't checked out a lot of videos or screens for the game because as I've gotten older I've decided the less I know the better the experience when I finally play a game (or watch a movie), but I did look at that ad and I love the reproduced Mania arenas featured in it.

What I find odd about these DVDs is that JR left WCW by the beginning of 1993, but he is always the guy they use to talk about WCW as if he was in the know for anything WCW related, even when he wasn't there. This happens on Viva La Raza and the Starrcade set. It's not a huge deal, and I'm sure he does know what he's talking about, but it does seem a bit odd at times.

I think he might be saying "World Wide", as in World Wide Wrestling Federation. I think.

You are a keeper, my friend. -
I've really been dropping the ball the past week.

I dropped the ball on this - I wanted to move it last night but didn't have time, then didn't have time today either.

FOX Sunday Night 08/09 - now in HD!
DrVenkman PhD replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Television & Film
Here's a weird one - King of the Hill of all shows was in widescreen HD on Sunday night. Why they would bother so far into what has already been announced as the end of the line for them is an anomaly to me, and even more so that they would get a one week jump on The Simpsons big move. -
Once Great Cable Channels That Have Gone Downhill

I liked it when A&E aired NewsRadio and Night Court in the afternoon (I only thought of this when Marvin complained about TNT's poor HD - A&E also insists on stretching non-HD shows out). -

It would have been on in the summer of 2007. I don't know how it fit the theme and what have you, but I remember it was last on the channel right after the Benoit deal (Mania 23 was up around the same time and pulled until a Benoit vs MVP-less version was made available, IIRC, which I don't think I am, but you know what I mean). I wasn't getting PYBOs at that time so this will be new to me. -
I will say Game Informer doing a "Wrestler of the Day" roster reveal for WrestleMania 2000 was pretty awesome. That was also a decade ago.

Apparently there is a 360 version of the Ultimate Genesis Collection out on Tuesday that slipped my radar. I already have a PS2 one, but my PS2 is kind of not hooked up or easily accessible, plus the trailer said the games were in HD~!, so yeah, I'm so going to waste money on a double dip. Besides, this version has Bongo Congo as an unlockable game!

I liked WU a lot, but wasn't a fan that they used the exact same Klingon sowrd robbery joke that Conan did.

I'm Calling Who Be Winning Da Worst Poster Of Da Year Dis Year
DrVenkman PhD replied to At Home's topic in No Holds Barred
I'm voting for Byron the Blub. Asshole don't like me and he has this air about him that makes me wish he'd accidentally eat poison and die. Edit: I really only said that because he was reading the thread, but sure enough he was not when I posted that. -

I was in last year's tournament and actually had a few votes to advance against Canadian Destroyer. That made me sad, but I think I only ended up in thanks to a nomination from EHME, and only he and al (because I 'annoyed him' with pointing out failed 'WWF' / Benoit omissions on 24/7) voted for me. JN News waited until January to start imitating people no one has ever heard of in a failed attempt to mock them, so he's off the hook. I had just assumed he outed himself as someone with a homosexual crush on Chris Jericho until a later post explained that whole deal. -
Once Great Cable Channels That Have Gone Downhill

I really haven't liked TBS since they stopped airing Office reruns, air the same syndication schedule for their other shows that all the other local affiliates here do, and changed their name to "Peachtree". -
Ha, you guys are funny.

You just described why a friend of mine and I love it when our MLB roadtrips in the summer stop at hotels that carry this channel. It's all about the Family Matters (or is that on Nick at Nite?). MLB roadtrips? Venk, I don't think you've ever so much as shown your face in an MLB thread here. What gives? I'm not much for sports discussion. I just watch things on TV from time to time, get into the playoffs, and once a year go on an out of town trip across America with a pal. -

WWE.com removed the brief match listings they had for the Shorties. Guess they were supposed to be keeping some of that roster secret. -
Update on that - this is what it says now: This is what it said yesterday:
-
It's what WWE.com called it. And wow, I can't wait for Superstars to end these two for one SD tapings.
