"All dogs are boys and all cats are girls" dialogue: Max: We're not disputing their sex, just the gender. Lisa: They're the same thing! Max: Not so! I would much rather have sex than have gender! Lisa: Well seeing as how you have neither, that must be very sad for you. Season 5... not that bad. One of the commentaries (for whatever the name of the episode Matthew thinks Lisa put him through a satanic ritual) has a running list of censor notes from throughout the series. It's neat hearing them answer the e-mail questions too.

I also prefer the OnDemand concept but until people realize digital cable combined with on demand movies, shows, etc. is the way to go, people will have technology (read: DirecTV) that will make them unable to subscribe to 24/7, which is unfortunate.

I'm sure I'm not the only person to think it make a good photo to stand in front of Trump Tower and take a photo looking up at the sky, but damn if I didn't think WWE.com stole one of my photos off flickr when I saw a similar photo on the main page (my photo is slightly off center - probably because I didn't think it would a good idea to stand directly in front of the doors while their photographer could get away with it - and has clouds). On that uninteresting note, if WWE is having a press conference in NYC on Wednesday, I hope my local mall isn't being visited by uninteresting jobbers next week. I didn't think Michaels would be there or anything, but who usually does show up at this Road to WrestleMania Axxess Tour deals? Hillbilly Jim and Funaki?

The previous Eddie/Benoit match from November 96 was good (I seem to remember) and I like the one from 95 on the Benoit DVD. Is that Tombstone jobber on Nitro 911? Edit: Yes, yes he was.

He'll legdrop you when you're sleeping. He'll chokeslam you when you're awake. He'll powerbomb if you've been bad or good So run away for Heaven's sake. The Sid carols are gold. I thought Raw was pretty good from an entertainment point of view (none of the 'wrestling' was particularly strong) while Nitro seemed dull but with better wrestling, though Benoit/Eddie and Malenko/Regal were both kind of let downs. The key points on Raw for my nostalgic entertainment value were as follows: -Debut of HHH's 2nd theme -Hot Sunny -A New Rockers appearance -The beginning of the short lived Mexican Invasion. -The return of the Honky Tonk Man. Rocky/Sincere had some really weird spot where, IIRC, Rocky ducked a clothesline and bounced off the ropes, then just stared at Sal. He then bounced off the ropes again while Sal just stood there and took a clothesline. Seemed like an odd spot to keep on a taped show. I remember being all psyched at the for the HTM protege angle as rumours eventually began swirling it would be Rick Rude or Disco Inferno.

Hooray, I'm now 2-0 in being beaten by the eventual winner.

The ECW show has my favourite Cactus Jack promo on it. I know I have it on DVD somewhere, but it's still great. The clips from Sandman vs Mikey were pretty good too and the 6 man tag match in the cage seemed like a big mess. As usual, Tazz and Joey were good.

I actually got in the mail yesterday and watched a few episodes. They mention hoping Lovitz does commentary but in checking all the discs, his name didn't appear. The Lucky Burger commentary (I believe) has Stephen Root and co. saying something along the lines of Lovitz is funny, but 'da da DA DAAA da da' did not mesh will with the "da da da da da da da da" rythym. Andy Dick is on some commentaries I haven't listened to yet and in the two I did hear, they were feilding e-mail questions. I mentioned this somewhere before, but some of the season 5 episodes I watched on TBS a month or so ago were pretty good, better than I recalled. Joe's delivery of the word 'four' (after Joe says a smaller white noise machine would only have 3 settings) is something I found incredibly funny, same goes for his lines/delivery when doing "Max's Lewis' This Day in History".

Czech. He beat me so he needs to win (then I'll be 2 for 2 in being beaten by the winner). He's also funny.

I guess the episode of PTW up right was one I missed while on vacation or didn't show up on my cable system in it's original 'in-order' airing of the show because I haven't seen it previously. Nothing special out of any of the matches but as usual the Gorilla/Heenan interplay is tops. I did enjoy the clips from the big battle royal on SNME where Andre tossed Hogan, that's all new to me; if the era of slickly produced pre-match video packages existed in 1987, I'm sure that image would have been played with ominous music and left a mark in wrestling history, but that's life (or was, anyway).

In kayfabe it was because he realized Big Show was a better choice in such an important match then himself.

Take that, Mistico! Edit: What the hell? There's nothing above me. Smackdown spoilers from Trenton Thanks to Dan Wahlers and Paul Jacobi: Dark match Henry Godwinn & Cousin Cletus (Ray Gordy) b Deuce & Domino Smackdown It started with MizTV interviewing Batista. The big spot was Miz had the lights turned off in the middle of the interview as a rib on Batista that Undertaker was coming out. Batista took the rib good naturedly by giving Miz a Batista bomb. Matt Hardy b Mr. Kennedy in 20:00 clean with a twist of fate. Good match. MVP b El Gran Latte (a great cup of coffee), the masked champion on Honduras. Well, you can figure out who they are mad at this week. Quick squash. He challenged Benoit after and Teddy Long made the match for Mania. Benoit came out and they had a brawl with Benoit getting the better of it. Booker and Finlay were backstage arguing about who was going to win Money in the Bank. Hornswoggle (Little Bastard) was harassing Sharmell. Undertaker b Booker via DQ in 15:00. Batista was on commentary. Undertaker had the match won when Finlay interfered. They were beating him down and Batista stood there and wouldn't help. Undertaker made his own comeback, and on purpose, threw Finlay over the desk onto Batista. Batista and Undertaker glared at each other but didn't come to blows MNM & Melina b London & Kendrick & Ashley with the snapshot on London. Focus at the end was Melina vs. Ashley. Jillian sang badly, which may have been dark. Kane vs. Daivari had no finish. Kane used that nasty chain and sickle deal from "See No Evil" to drag Daivari out of the building. Lots of fans, as in a strong percentage, left before ECW started Post ECW dark Undertaker & Kane b MVP & Kennedy in about 10:00

People seem to think I'm more of a game show host than a doctor.

What kind of loser works on Saturday. Me, obviously.

Hmm... that really wasn't worth checking the most recent post. Maybe Slayer is on to something (but your 24/7 comments are always good, keep em coming).

Scores at the half: DrVenkman - 12 Cezch - 33 Black Lushus - 24 Al - 21 Please keep in mind this is a rough count (and at least twice I ticked the wrong vote when counting AL vs BL - damn similar initials - but I should have fixed it to balance as I kept going) and I had a few work distractions while counting.
-
By my rough count, after voting for myself, I have *TWELVE* votes. That's a moral victory to me, I thought this would be a 46-6 blow out.

The Beverly Brothers theme was generic (and therefore I assume JJJ) music, wonder why they'd change that?
-
Don't forget me, who gave you an endorsement that might've helped you win the first two rounds and get you recognition. Ok, well, if you want me to give a long winded 'play the music so I get off the stage' dedication, then you, Spiff, Muggy, World's Worst Man, AndrewTS, Vampiro69, Czech, tigeraid, spman, and other people that voted for me. Seriously though VX, thanks for putting me over in round 1.
-
I dedicate my Awesomely Mediocre trophy to Spaceman Spiff and Muggy Boques. Muggy and Chris, you guys put up quite the battle. Spiff is a good guy all around, but for loving and supporting a gimmick (to this day!) I used while bored at work, I give him props.

Classic WWE Footage Entrance Music Clearence
DrVenkman PhD replied to spman's topic in General Wrestling
Oh, well that's different then. Music edits don't really bother me that much (they suck, but rights are rights). What DOES bother me, much like you, is that it doesn't seem to be consistent or make sense. -
Gary Floyd is lovecraft. DrVenkman is DrVenkman (although VX identified me as "fomerly known as Stephen Gray, the guy that used to write good articles about wrestling"). I've had the same name, avatar, and custom title since 2002 (well the custom title came in 2003). I just don't say much of importance, and it's usually in wrestling / TV / Video game folders (with you in the Office thread).

Classic WWE Footage Entrance Music Clearence

They edited out Vince McMahon yelling the 30 entrants names? That's far worse than any music edit. -
Hooray, I won my bracket and managed to sneak into the final four. That's about the best I could have asked for. Thanks for the votes kkk/VX/Mole/Pit guy, at least it won't be a shut-out. Anyway: Me (I originally didn't vote for myself but I figure I might as well give myself one extra point before exiting) BL
