I gather people have been talking about this for months, but since I never intended on getting a PS3 anytime soon I ignored it, I researched the bundles on wikipedia. It seems to me that it seems to be the premium PS3, in a reverse situation of the Xbox 360, is the "tard package". Why should I pay $100 more for an internet connection I don't have tools (or currently knowledge to operate), 40GB more HD space when 20 should be sufficient for my non-pirate ways, and a "silver trim"? I also don't know what flash memory is all about either ((I guess the fun ways of buying big plastic cards to put in game cases is being replaced by using inconvenient slivers that can be lost easily), but if I'm saving games to a HD that doesn't really matter to me either. Either way, still too expensive and questionable at launch for my blood.

I'm getting my fill of AWA fast forwarding through the shows on 24/7 and the 2 hour special that aired during the summer. I will say that Dusty/Murdoch vs. Billy Robinson and a totally different looking Don Muraco from the 70s was fairly awesome, especially considering what expectations I have from older matches. Robinson did (I'm fairly sure) a uranage backbreaker, and the match also had a brainbuster on the floor.

I guess my downstairs VCR doesn't have auto DST like the other three in the house, so I ended up recording Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy instead of Earl / Office. Luckily I have the internet. Good stuff all around. "I don't celebrate Kwanza" "Well you should, it's a blast!"

When I'm in the states shopping (usually Dearborn, MI), we usually go to some mall... I don't know what the correct term is for it, but all the stores have exterior doors. Anyway there is a Best Buy right near the GameStop. I don't like the GameStop in that area at all and would usually buy a game from the BB. This is all a rare instance though as I would normally just buy the game in Canada, unless it was $49.99 US and $69.99 Canadian (that doesn't add up with current exchange rates). The GameStop at that mini-mall used to be a Funcoland and is very small and usually has noisy kids begging parents for games.

I can't say I've ever seen games cost more at Future Shop than the EB across the street. Bottom line for me is I have a Future Shop store card and will be trying to get a Wii (which should be $279 Canadian based on a Toys R Us / Wikipedia listing I've seen) Sunday morning. Hopefully everyone else goes to the Zellers/EB across the street at the mall or down the street a bit more to Best Buy.

I have never bought a (non-used) game that wasn't wrapped. God I hate shrink wrap.
-
Yes, it is the main feature from the DVD.

I contributed $5 to this place, when does my say count? Not that I have an opinion one way or the other right now.

Kudos to Loaded Glove for reviving my favourite Pictures I Like picture.

The History of ECW episode on 24/7 for the 7/20/95 Hardcore TV (which by the dates they've been using would place it as the 24th, but since the marquee in Florida said 20th I guess they're going with that instead of the airdate) is pretty good. They added Styles as a host with Tazz. They introduce the episode by noting Tazz suffers a neck injury, and Styles said it may have been the worst night of his career "besides wrestling K-Kwik". Tazz notes he did not like wrestling him. Anyone know the story there, if any?

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot
DrVenkman PhD replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
I wasn't aware Dusty had a rip-off version of his Federation American Dream theme in WCW. I heard it on 24/7 after watching Dusty/Dustin vs Flair/Jarrett. -
I see, so this whole "RVD can't be champ" came from the WON. I re-newed my subscription hoping to get (and specifically asked for) the Pillman issue, thus not losing an issue, but my current subscription apparently started with the Pena issue. So yeah, like HTQ said, Vince changes his mind. A lot.

I watched Army of Darkness on Scream. The lights were all off so few people knocked.

If a game involves a licence, you probably won't see it on the Virtual Console (Punch-Out will probably be the Mr. Dream version, don't hold your breath for GoldenEye, etc.). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Console_%28Wii%29

I like the idea of the nWo belt. Defending titles like a nerd has given SvR06 so much replay, especially since getting a PS2 that actually plays it last week. William Regal is the current Million Dollar champ!

According to the rules that Czech made up for a contest he appointed someone else to judge, Piss's entry would be classified as "funny but disqualified".

Highlanders vs. Cade/Murdoch vs. vs. Viscera/Haas vs. Cryme Tyme added to Cyber Sunday in either a Fatal Four Way, Texas Tornado, or Tag Turmoil match. Damn you Fantasy roster for locking at what I swear as 6:59pm as I was about to add Cryme Tyme.

I look forward to Marvin's top 10 judgment today (I assume Halloween was the deadline). "They all suck" is not a judgment, Marv.

Man, I remember when Carnival was your #7 favourite poster. It's sad to see e-ships sink. Kinda.

Did I miss a newsbit about RVD not being allowed to win the ECW title? This is the second thread I've seen that referenced in.
-
I was at work all day and was watching TV when I got home, forgetting to redo my team. The result was being cut off by the deadline in the middle of arranging a roster, leaving me with $2m to spare. With only 5 matches announced for the PPV so far I didn't really know what to spend money on anyway, so some shenanigans took place.
-
Agreed, but I like that flyer.
-
I expect some brand crossover to fill some card gaps.

So, is RVD supposed to be retarded now? He choses a 6 man multi-match where, in his previous performance, he was eliminated first (I think) over a one on one match, which he's already won? Edit: Disregard. I see it was Heyman's doing. Good idea.
