DrVenkman PhD replied to Team Angle Pusher's topic in The WWE Folder
Edge's use of his MITB was both logical and well thought out. Although in June I thought using it after the Batista/HHH HIAC match would have made the most sense, Edge would still have had to wrestle Batista, who he already lost to when he won the Goldrush tournament. Overall (although there is a small chance this was ever a planned arc, or even planned to happen at all ever), I give thumbs up to this 9 month story arc. Congrats, Steph. Now please leave and get to work on your new 9 month story arc. -

Angle has been eliminated? ANGLE HAS BEEN ELIMINATED? Angle has been eliminated! Those are words I never thought I'd hear Joey Styles say on a WWE PPV. -

I haven't read through all of this and I was watching Fox tonight (a solid 2 hours.. even The Simpsons was good) but from reading WO.com it sounds like we may be heading for a double turn? I read something about Angle saying he could wish Iraq would win the war, love France, etc. and still be cheered and now I heard Cena is getting zero cheers instead of some. I don't see why they would acknowledge Angle being over unless they planned to do something. -

I enjoyed that match. Chavo winning was pretty awesome. Funny to think how at this time last year, Snitsky was the monster that took Kane to his limits at this PPV. -
Any chance of someone uploading these all in the form of a torrent? I hate rapidshare.

Crazy WWE.com... Stephanie is pregnant and the Dicks are in action.

So they will both be taking time off this year, right?

Is it out for Xbox yet?

Jerry Lynn buries Juvi as an asshole on TNA's Best of X Division Vol 1 DVD. The worst part about this is the weekly Juventud update was one of the highlights of the WON. Hopefully he causes trouble on the indy scene. And, although this probably doesn't have anything to do with it, I did note in the SmackDown TV report that Juvi .

From PWInsider: "At last night's Smackdown taping in Wilkes Barre, PA, an indy worker was ejected from the locker room for an etiquette breach after moving Teddy Long's belongings and attempting to take Long's seat in the locker room."

It's too bad that The Avatars got beat up but as a Dean mark, hooray for him and his new stable. OJ face turn is pretty logical based on last week's happenings and the way Booker snubs him again this week.

January may be one of the coldest months of the year, but you can stay warm with plenty of Sunny days on WWE 24/7 Online. This month WWE 24/7 Online features several classic moments involving one of WWE’s hottest Divas of all-time – Sunny! From her infamous Sex Tape, to her days as a Bodydonna, to her time in WCW, to a mesmerizing video package showing off all of her assets, WWE 24/7 Online has it all. Plus, relive some classic moments involving Goldberg and The Rock as well as several rare matches such as “Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. Repo Man and much more! WWE RAW - Bret Hart vs. Jeff Jarrett January 16, 1995 | Approx. run time: 12 mins. Jeff Jarrett was just about a week away from a shot at the Intercontinental Championship and Bret Hart was about a week away from a shot at Diesel's WWE Championship at Royal Rumble. Which Superstar would head into the Rumble with the momentum? WWE RAW - Highlights of Sunny & Phinneus July 1, 1996 | Approx. run time: 4 mins. One of Sunny's first rivalries in WWE was with the Godwinns. Phinneus, especially, had taken a liking to the blond bombshell. Sunny used this to her advantage every step of the way, leading to several losses for Phinneus and the Godwinns. Phinneus finally got the last laugh, though. WWE - "Jive Soul Bro" Music Video November 28, 1987 | Approx. run time: 3 mins. There have been countless managers over the years in WWE, but Slick was certainly one of the most colorful. They didn't call him the Dr. of Style for nothing. Perhaps nothing showed off Slick's character as good as this music video for his theme music, Jive Soul Bro. Not only was it his theme music, but he sang it as well. WWE RAW - Randy Savage vs. Repo Man January 25, 1993 | Approx. run time: 10 mins. This match is from just the third-ever RAW. The always colorful Randy Savage had to make sure all his bills were paid before facing the mischievous Repo Man. Could Repo Man, who many fans also know as Smash from Demolition, stay away from Savage's trademark flying elbow? WWE RAW - Marty Jannetty vs. Johnny Polo January 31, 1994 | Approx. run time: 13 mins. Johnny Polo, who later went on to be known as Raven, probably had more success as the manager of the Quebecers, but he was in singles action in this one. Could the former Rocker, Marty Jannetty, utilize his speed and quickness to overcome the loud-mouthed Polo? WWE RAW - Scott Steiner vs. Triple H January 6, 2003 | Approx. run time: 17 mins. Just a couple of weeks away from their World Heavyweight Championship match at the Royal Rumble, Triple H and Scott Steiner engaged in a Pose Down. Triple H brought in six biased judges, though. Would the biased judges be able to overlook the physique of the genetic freak? WWE - "Girls in Cars" Music Video October 17, 1987 | Approx. run time: 3 mins. Tito Santana and Rick Martel formed the World Tag Team Champion team of Strike Force. While their high-flying, fast-paced style in the ring gained them many fans, it was their boyish good looks that attracted several female fans as well. This music video for their theme song Girls in Cars comes complete with an introduction from Santana and Martel themselves. WWE RAW - Smokin' Gunns vs. Shawn Michaels & Ahmed Johnson July 22, 1996 | Approx. run time: 16 mins. Sunny was the manager of the Smokin' Gunns, but she was nice enough to bring a cake out for Shawn Michaels even though the Gunns were facing HBK and Ahmed Johnson. Would the cake play a role in the outcome of the match? WWE - Sunny Music Video April 15, 1996 | Approx. run time: 1 mins. While WWE has several Divas that heat things up every week, Sunny was one of the first Divas to pave the way. This music video encapsulates some of her hottest moments while in WWE. Don't miss all of these sizzling moments WWE - Rock Appreciation Night/Goldberg's Debut March 31, 2003 | Approx. run time: 4 mins. This was just one night after The Rock defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania. The Rock felt after such a big win, it would be appropriate for Rock Appreciation Night. Someone else didn't think so, though. Don't miss Goldberg's huge debut when he took out The Rock. Slammy Awards - Sunny wins for Best Buns, Best Manager March 30, 1996 | Approx. run time: 6 mins. Sunny wasn't just one of the hottest Divas in WWE history. She was also one of the greatest managers of her time. She certainly proved it at the 1996 Slammy Awards when she took home the Best Manager and Best Buns Awards. Check out the highlights from this unique ceremony. WCW Thunder - Paisley vs. Tammy Lynn Sytch April 26, 2000 | Approx. run time: 7 mins. Tammy Lynn Sytch, also known to WWE fans as Sunny, came to WCW as the manager of the late Chris Candido. But she also knew how to mix it up in the ring. Don't miss this rare match between herself and Paisley, who WWE fans now know as Booker T's wife Sharmell. ECW Heatwave - Chris Candido vs. Lance Storm August 2, 1998 | Approx. run time: 12 mins. While it was Chris Candido squaring off against Lance Storm in this one, it was Tammy Lynn Sytch, also known to WWE fans as Sunny, who played a major role in the outcome. Would she help her man Candido to a win, or would her interference backfire and result in a victory for Storm? WWE RAW - The Rock Presents "This is Your Life" to Mick Foley March 8, 2004 | Approx. run time: 18 mins. Who will ever forget when Mick Foley presented The Rock with an edition of "This is Your Life"? Well, The Rock ended up returning the favor to his Rock N' Sock partner. Check out all the hilarious stories and incidents in this memorable RAW moment WWE Shotgun Saturday Night - Sunny Sex Tape with Elmo January 12, 1997 | Approx. run time: 3 mins. While Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee may have the most famous sex tape, one of WWE's hottest Divas ever, Sunny, had one of her own. She premiered the controversial tape on the second-ever edition of the edgy Shotgun Saturday Night show. This one certainly has to be seen to be believed. WWE SmackDown - Hulk Hogan Returns January 23, 2003 | Approx. run time: 13 mins. After falling to Brock Lesnar in August 2002, Hulk Hogan hadn't been seen in a WWE ring - until SmackDown on Jan. 23, 2003 that is. Hogan came back for what he called his "last journey", but Mr. McMahon interrupted him. You won't want to miss what happened when these two got in the same ring together. WWE RAW - The Rock Concert March 24, 2003 | Approx. run time: 12 mins. Just one week before meeting Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania, The Rock decided to treat the RAW crowd to a very special "Rock Concert." The Rock opened up with a song insulting the Sacramento audience and followed it up with a number insulting Stone Cold himself. It didn't take long for the Texas Rattlesnake to interrupt and make some music of his own. WWE - "Piledriver" Music Video October 3, 1987 | Approx. run time: 3 mins. This was the title track off of the WWE album of the same name in 1987. Koko B. Ware lent the vocals to this little diddy that compared love to a piledriver. While Ware sang the song, such Superstars as Billy Jack Haynes, Honky Tonk Man, Don Muraco, Bam Bam Bigelow, Sir Oliver Humperdink and even Hulk Hogan starred throughout the music video. WWE - "Stand Back" Music Video November 14, 1987 | Approx. run time: 3 mins. Mr. McMahon is known for many things. He's a former WWE Champion. He started his own Kiss My Ass Club. He put ECW and WCW out of business. But it's often overlooked that he was also a recording artist. He lent his vocals to "Stand Back" from the Piledriver album. A music video featuring clips of Andre the Giant was made to go along with the song. WWE - The Bodydonnas vs The Godwinns March 31, 1996 | Approx. run time: 6 mins. The Bodydonnas had a shot at the World Tag Team Championship in the Free For All Match before WrestleMania against The Godwinns. Sunny made sure she used all of her "assets" to help her men get the upper hand. Would it be enough for Skip and Zip to bring home the gold? ---- A good mix of matches and segments. It's good to see some obscure TV stuff that I haven't seen since it first aired (Ahmed/HBK vs Gunns) or ever (Polo/Jannetty, Repo Man/Macho Man) and wacky segments where wrestlers sing that I've never seen, only heard about.

WWE 24/7 Online listings for January

Yeah, they are a bit short on matches this month.... However, I just watched "Piledriver" and it's pretty awesome. -
I was reading that a character in X6 says "ZELLLLO" instead of Zero. I hope this is retained in the collection.

Canadian Destroyer is a tribute to the late 'Canadian Destroyer' Doug Chevalier.

I like that the La Resistance stock music is used in the WMx8 video package for Flair/Taker

"The sequel of Afterlife [3rd Resident Evil movie] is currently known as Resident Evil 4 but will be changed to avoid confusion with the game Resident Evil 4. It is rumored to be titled Resident Evil: Annihilation" I find that title choice pretty funny.

Unforgiven 02, I bought at Best buy in Jan 03 That sounds about right.. I think that's when I got it too, on one of my treks to Michigan. Of course these days the delay in getting a DVD to Canada is very short / non-existent (seems to be about 2 weeks for most PPVs, and usually 1 week or no delay in the non-PPV DVDs) plus I've embraced buying things online.

TSM's WORST POSTERS - VOLUME ONE
DrVenkman PhD replied to Murmuring Beast's topic in No Holds Barred
7 Word Bandit was pretty good, One Word Bandit... no. The sig picture is funny though. -
I totally forgot about the "Only at Shopzone" deal with Judgment Day and Vengeance 2002. Also of note, I believe Unforgiven 2002 was a FYE exclusive, albeit only for a few months.
-
I usually pick up a Velocity torrent from the usual place. Apparently on the Spanish version of Raw, Carlos and Hugo took a shot at Masters for saying New Year's Resolution. Carlos: DId he say New Year's Revolution instead of Resolution? Hugo: Idiot That's from WO.com
-
I used to see it at Canadian Blockbuster stores in the area, but the 2002 stuff has been phased out by 2004/2005 stuff. However, it might be worth noting that even in 2002, I had to buy the VHS copy because I could not find the DVD (though I did shortly AFTER picking it up on VHS already). This might be because WWE / Koch (Canada) had different distribution priorities at the time though (I believe I noted at the time that while Vengeance could only be found on VHS, some Diva thing was already out on DVD).

You know you can shut it off, right?

Re-directed from "Seditious" Sedition refers to a legal designation of non-overt conduct that is deemed by a legal authority as being acts of treason, and hence deserving of legal punishment. The term is deprecated in most countries, though equivalent language may still be in use in totalitarian and fascist jurisdictions

"Fei Long wasn't in the movie. The reason is that the producers thought that he was too "generic." So he was replaced by Captain Sawada. The surname Sawada has since been attributed to Fei Long by fans, but this is strictly non-canonical, as the two are meant to be different characters." First I've heard of this.
