In the spoilers on WO.com, the writer notes that WWE must be planning on teaming Nunzio and Jindrak regularly because they had matching tights and came out to "No Sleep Til Brooklyn" without the lyrics. Sucks for Nunzio that it seemingly takes some fans TWO YEARS to realize you have theme music.

I haven't played either game being discussed but from the sounds of it, Lego Star Wars 2: Episodes IV-VI would be an awesome game, no?

Reminds me of that line on Newsradio (in space) where they have late breaking news of those rebel terrorists attacking Lord Vader's death star. Interesting read.

The RAW Thread for 05-02-05: Show Comments

That was nice to put in the Candido graphic though I found the placement of it odd. I don't see the problem (at this time) with Jericho's booking and it being messed up as a JHawk stated in his recap... yes, he said he'd trade everything in for one more run as world champ and he lost in the 1st round. He also lost to Benjamin last night. He's turning heel, is he not? Pretty much the same way Eddie did. If he doesn't turn heel then he's been jobbing for no real reason and I'll agree. 2 more weeks and Benjamin will overtake Orton's IC title reign's legnth. Go Shelton! -
I need some clarification about WGN... In the early 90s the cable company here (in Southern Ontario) offered 4 "Superstations" that you needed a PPV decoder for (which we had to get the debuting PPV, SummerSlam 92)... WGN (Chicago), WSBK (Boston), KTLA (L.A.) and WTBS (Atlanta / Nationwide). By the mid 90s 3 of these stations were uncessary as WGN and KTLA had both become WB affiliates and WSBK became UPN. They were just showing the same shows we could get on the WB station from Detroit with minor differences (KTLA being time-shifted by 3 hours and different syndicated programming). By 1998 we no longer subscribed to these channels (TBS had shifted into the premium block of cable cable channels and didn't require the decoder) and by 2000 they were removed from our cable's analog cable package offerings all together. So I'm either not correctly remembering WGN outliving it's usefulness as an independant superstation or things have changed and I'm out of the loop.

I was hoping Booker would beat him at Survivor Series but when that didn't happen, I just accepted he would be champ until Mania and hopefully drop it there. Funny thing, as Mania was getting closer and I knew JBL would be winning all the time anyway, I just accepted the fact I enjoyed his heel work... this would be aroudn the Rumble. By Mania I didn't even want him to lose (not due to Cena, but in general) and the $100 JBL bill won me over some more. Now I'm thrilled that he still carries the WWE title around.

The XBL download that allows you to play the game online also fixes that. Speaking of which, ran in to Mr. Blaenwing online the other day but a poor connection caused an ealry match abort... or perhaps he was scared off by The Mountie

Really the thing I want to see is the ECW pieces on the Monday Night Wars, where they show a complete Raw and Nitro

Up yours haters who said the show would bomb.

No, I don't have the headset yet. I need to get a money order from the bank to cover shipping them mail my coupon. As far as I've seen you don't need to change the difficulty, but maybe that'sa glitch. The only time I had to change it is for "Defeat a Legend", where doing so without being on Legend difficulty did nothing. Everything else worked fine on Amateur.

I accepted your invite Matt but by the time I did the session was invalid... I was in the middle of making the Southern Ontario title when it came. That belt is now gone. I have a few concerns with the online aspect but so far it's been fun, especially when I did a CAW match. 1. CAW's are just labeled "Superstar". No big deal but a bit odd. 2. I'm trying to make a belt to be defended among friends but that doesn't seem possible unless I'm doing it wrong. Do I have to alert them before hand that I'll be on the championship list and they can challenge me, or does the invite to a match once you register your belt work? 3. Going along with the above, unless you can actually create a title match rather then challenge / be challenged, can you not use CAWs? The odd thing I noticed with that was the last title match I had was set to Game camera mode while most have been Broadcast, making me think somehow you can adjust the settings. Sadly anytime I registered my title and created a match and invited people, they were all busy and the test never got completed. I look forward to losing to all of you as The Mountie soon, title on the line or not. Question for anyone that doesn't suck and has won a title match: Do you get to see the belt you won once you win it? What happens if/when you "unify" it? I thought I had a title match won when I had a guy beaten into red damage and hit him with the Angle Slam, but that didn't even get a one count. I was then put into a bearhug and submitted in about a second. The guy either has crazy fingers or a turbo controller of some sort. And AndrewTS: Yes, if you download the patch for the game, it erases your CAWs and career progress.

First new Family Guy episode leaked

My biggest concern was the show would be cancelled soon after it was brought back, either because Fox didn't like it or it wasn't drawing the ratings they wanted. This press release (from over a week ago, just saw it now) gives me hope the revival will suceed. " This time around, the Fox network's parent, the News Corp., says ratings are not as big an issue since the company's business model is built around license fees from cable and from sales of new DVDs and merchandise." -

I wasn't going to cheat and watch it but then I decided, hey, I've waited this long, I deserve to watch it now (also I'll be watching the PPV on May 1st). Man that was good. The best gag was GI Joe but the opening was really good too. Funny thing though - lots of minor characters appeared, but none of the supporting neighbour characters did. I look forward to seeing them again soon. -
Anytime I've fallen off the cell, selling has been better than SD!'s, thought really that could mean you stay down for 3 seconds. Ladder selling, on the other hand, is not good. I really dislike ladder matches in this game, normal matches are the best way to go.

Online play was slighty to very laggy when I played but it's the first day... hopefully it becomes less lagged in the future. It was fun. Quick warning if it's not too late: If you are far into your career mode you may wish to hold back on getting patched... in order to install it, your CAWs (and thus your career progress) are deleted.

That was my question as I am an inexperienced Live user. Apparently patches can be made available through the Dashboard.

Apparently a post at GameFAQs:

Well so far I like it... the bugs are very annoying and I want to play with my IRC pals on XBL, but I enjoy the gameplay and story mode. It's not great but for now I'm ok with it and I think once the online gets going it'll be fun. Also, I've been informed if you call (819) 880-0456 THQ is saying they are aware of the bugs and will be issuing a recall on the game if an online patch can't fix it.
-
Not sure if y'all are aware but apparently there is some huge problem right now and no one can get online with the game. http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/04/20/news_6122657.html So far I'm not hearing a lot of good things from my IRC pals... long load times, this thing about XBL, I'm assuming a linear story mode with no branching, "skipping", someone on GameFAqs is complaining about a glitch where an invisible wrestler is beating them up... But then the IRC folks I talk to say the gameplay is great once you learn it. It sounds like it's a good first try and I look forward to playing it against people online (hopefully).

I recall seeing screenshots (as in one for each) of both a Pinky and the Brain and a Duckman game... I'm sure both would have been awful but I can't help but wonder what happened. Duckman probably got cancelled when the show did but Pinky & The Brain... I don't know.

That's fine, I only really intended them to use for CAWs THe big thing people like my pal spman are wondering is that if he makes a Mountie CAW, will we, the people without that song on our HD (if we don't), be able to hear it when he makes his entrance online?
