Nah, turning threads like "New IGN Video", "First Image Posted", and now "Trailer Online" into full fledged OAO threads is the hip new thing to do. Keep this one alive, kids! I have to work all day tomorrow, then after work go to a focus group or whatever you want to call it where they're paying me money to tell them about whatever. Hopefully I have enough of a time window to go from the group discussion to the mall before it closes. If not, I'll pick the game up Wednesday afternoon after work.

Cape Feare While I find the Radioactive Man movie one good, I think what really puts it over the top is the fancy editing tricks scene. The guys line following, "And with good cause!", is somehting I've been saying for 9 years now.

I was doing pretty good in my game, but when ROH became a Global company (with WDW having already been formed as a Global one as well) at the same time the preak rating was hovering at around 49%, I found my PI dropping monthly from the 100% it had been it at for months, and now everyone's morale keeps dropping.

This was something I was watching on TV in Canada. Their website is www.elecplay.com but I doubt anything would be there.

At no point ever did any member of the Wolfpack place someone who turned their back on them in a bodybag. That song is such a lie. Undertaker, now that's a guy who put people in bodybags.

Electronic Playground just showed an interview about the game, and seeing the game footage on a fullsceren TV (as opposed to watching computerized video on a monitor) revealed just how much better the models (which looked good last year as it was) are this year. Business suits still look odd, though. They showed clips from the season mode - most interesting would have been HHH in the ring wearing a business suit for a stare down with the option of pressing X to do a shove. The person they were interviewing then explained the heel / face choices that make it so storymode can be different when you play with so many different branches. While that is cool, that also makes me think it suffers from the same problem that every SmackDown game has suffered: Core storylines that need to be viewed in almost every run through the game. Hopefully the choices you make can branch you away from that, though. I loved HCTP's season, but it was rather annoying that you pretty much had 2 main angles to chose from with minor angles around it.

"Although dubbed into English in 1991, it [sPC] didn't play on American TV until 1996; by which time many of the jokes had gone out-of-date. At least six episodes were never shown on American TV either" Jeez, in Canada, I watched it everyday either at noon during lunch or at 3:30 or 4pm afterschool in the early 90s, depending which time YTV had it airing.

I think a problem, at least in this area, is stations that were once upon a time were fully independant now follow corporate TV schedueling. In the Detroit area, we used to have WXON 20 showing all sorts of stuff on it's own, then it became a WB affiliate, and now I believe they show nothing but informercials all weekend when not following the WB schedule. The UPN station here still promotes a SHOCK-Tober, but it's only one movie per week (I think), where even just a few years ago every Saturday in October would have edited for content horror movies on from noon to 6. Oh well.

Awesome, thanks.

IGN is really making us wait for that Bret entrance. They did Rock and Andre's today.

So I went to EB Games today to unload SmackDown 3 ($5 store credit! Wow!), WMXIX and DoR to pre-order GTA and SvR today... and it turns out SvR is only $50 Canadian. Hooray for the declining US dollar! Should be noted Future Shop says it will be $69.99, so maybe it's just better priced at EB.

Anyone say Excel Saga yet?

I remember watching the Super Dave animated series on FOX. Can't classify that as a favourite though. It's my understanding that Pizza Cats was actually (somewhat) serious in it's original form and Saban just made their own show up by adding a narrator and other silliness like referencing the fact it's a TV show, etc. Normally this is a receipe for disaster but somehow they pulled mangling the dubbing of an anime into a work of pure genius.

They should have him mispronounce Buttafuco over the radio.

Dude it's Little Johnny, finally revealed!

They got lazy with Taker and Kane's Legend characters and gave them the same intro as their modern day counterparts, but I guess for space reasons (and the fact that as it stands, nothing has really changed much outside of the music) it's forgiveable. Old School Taker does get "From Death Valley" in his entrance, though, and he looks great. And for the hell of it, one of Kane chokeslamming Kane

"Hey, I just realized something. If you say your name really fast, it sounds like you're saying Just Incredible!"

WWE.com has all the voting stats (in percentages) for the matches that already happened. There is a Developer Diary over on GameStop with an entry today about the insane booking of trying to get 40+ guys into recording sessions for the game's voice overs. Here is the last page where he goes over his 10 highlights:
-
"Benjamin won the title with his exploder into a powerslam pinning combination. The bad sign is the crowd is pretty dead. Work wise, this was a good match" Observer coverage. Sucks to hear about the crowd. Edit: Beaten.

Sounds good so far. Damn Famous Players not having the rights to the extra PPVs and Cineplex in my area not showing it!
-
200,000 + 175,00 = 375,000 PPV buys in October, and that's what WWE will say and be concerned about.
-
Hmm... now that I've actually watched the videos, I see that they've just made thier own knock-off music for the Legends. Well, it's better than nothing. For non Jimmy Hart themes like Bret's, Taker's, and Kane's, I wonder if they'll use the real deal or make a knock off.
-
And of course, now that entrance music is in for Legends, Mr. DiBiase is nowhere to be found. Oh well, Bret, LOD, Snuka, and Beefcake all have good themes (Beefcake's is very generic, but I like it).
